Hi i'm from P.A.!!!!

Hi everyone, I just wanted to give you a quick update on my Mom. Well she pulled through the operation which was no small feat. She came out of the operation on a ventilator and they were not optomistic that she would come off it right away. My mom has severe lung disease so this was the most concerning thing of the whole operation. Guess what she proved them all wrong and thy removed the vetilator on thursday at 11:00 am. They have had to give her a mask to wear for a short time but I'm sure she will not have that long. I think once all the sedation meds wear off she will be back to just her 24 hour nose oxygen. So far so good and we are now past the 24 hour operation mark so hopefully she will not have any complications. Thank you everyone!!!!! :thumbsup2 Terri

Glad to hear she came through the surgery okay, will continue to keep your family in my prayers. Boy all of you down in sunny disney be glad, it is very windy and cold here in PA. Princess Always would definitely be needing several layers. Have a great day.

First & foremost - Terri - glad to hear your mom came through the surgery, please keep us updated. I will continue to keep your family in my thoughts.

Now on to the good stuff....I'm back! OMG is all I can say. It's great going to Disney with the family. Even better just going with 1 child. Incredible going solo. But going with my girlfriend was the BEST! We did hit the parks commando style but we're both OCD & move fast & were on the same gameplan from the get go. We had a blast. We had laughs so hard a CM asked if she was ok, and tears together watching the lights & fireworks.

The weather was PERFECT. The day temps were 75,76, 77 & 65...and it only drizzled once for about an hour. Nights were cool - mid 50's - but we had pants & sweaters.

MVMCP - loved it but wouldn't pay for the whole family to go. I ran into Jamstew & RedBudLover at the party! I'd do the party again with another adult. My kids would be so DONE & miserable by 9pm it wouldn't be worth it. We left at 11:30pm, we went on the day we flew in & were just beat.

Here's the DISMeet! Timmy oh Timmy where were you?!?!?! Either someone must have been sick or your flight was delayed, we know you wouldn't have missed it for anything else! Here is Linda, Jamie & myself just before Illuminations on 12/6. I had just gotten caught in a short rain shower - ugh how lovely!

Jamie - did you have any trouble on Sunday getting home? We did MK from 9-1 & then went to the airport for our 3:20pm flight. At 3pm they cancelled our flight! UGH! Had to scramble but re-routed through Washington Dulles, but not til 5:30pm. We could have been in MK another 2 hours had we known! Got in at 11:30pm last night. Hope your flight was uneventful.

Oh Jessamy......

Here's your chocolate croissant! I actually had 2 -one at the cafe in France & one at Starring Rolls Cafe in DHS. YUMMO. The other dessert here is Raspberry Shuss from the cafe in France - can anyone tell me what shuss is? It looked good & was heavenly. Sort of a light cheesecake, with a dark chocolate layer on the bottom, powdered sugar, and then the top was an extremely tart raspberry gel or jam. OMG it was pure Heaven. Since they changed the School Bread that I always used to get, Raspberry Shuss is my new favorite!

Wow! Both of them look so good! I just may have to try that shuss thingy. :thumbsup2

As you can see, I was in the same rain shower (only I was outside for the entire thing, which Tara clearly wasn't :goodvibes ). How come Linda's hair looks great?????

Oh, no! :sad2: No problems for us. We left about 10 minutes late, so I called to let my son know. Somehow we arrived 10 minutes ahead of schedule, so we made up 20 minutes on the flight. Needless to say, I had to wait a while for my ride.

I told Michael that you loved AK and your friend doesn't, so maybe we could trade friends for AK if we were ever there at the same time again. :lmao:

*Drooling* Thanks Tara! I haven't tried the Raspberry Shuss before, but it does look good (I'm usually too busy stuffing my face w/a chocolate croissant...or 2 :rolleyes1 ).I'm glad to hear you two had such a fabulous time and good weather on top of it. I totally understand the commando park touring, although DH isn't so thrilled with it. I hope work isn't too crazy with the Christmas shopping crunch.

Wow, that's great to hear! My dad just had his aortic valve replaced a month ago, and the first several days were really rough, but then he turned a corner and recovered quickly. I hope the same thing happens for your mom. Hopefully she'll be home in time for the holidays :) .

Your furbabies are adorable!

Thank! They are mischievous, too, but we still love them. The cats run around and drive the dog crazy and make her bark. Just like kids, she has to tattle on them, like I can't hear what is going on:rotfl2: .

Linda - are you back? Boy I'm still on a Disney high. I want to go back! Jamie & Linda - we really need to spend a whole day together sometime. Jamie - you said you're returning in May - when in May?

I have a million pictures to post but little time. I did start a small trip report on the Trip Reports board but I haven't been very good at keeping up with it. Maybe tonight I can catch up!

I'll be in Florida for two weeks -- 5/19 to 6/2 -- but three nights of that are at the beach. This will be my longest ever vacation :woohoo:

Yes, I'm baaack!! :sad2: This is the first chance I've had to get on the computer! You are right....I'd love to spend a whole day together. It would be fun!! We have the same wacky Disney approach to vacation!:rotfl: I'll have to check out your TR.
Sorry to hear about your flight problems! You certainly could have done without that!

Would you guys believe it snowed here last night :scared1: Thankfully it didn't stick, but it was really pretty to watch (just the kind of snow I like). It actually stuck in several locations even further south than I am!

I gained 4 pounds which is totally not acceptable. :sad2: I've spent the last nine months losing 36 pounds, and I don't ever want to do it again!

Timmy - are you back yet?!?!?!?! Everyone ok???

Jamie - sorry to hear you had SNOW in Texas!!!!!! I won't be in WDW over your dates if I go with DH to his Orlando conference in May, bummer.

The only reason I'm going in late May this time is because that's the earliest the kids & grandkids can go. My May solo trips will always be the first week or so--it's cooler!

Hi guys... my sincerest apologies... We did get in on time on the 6th... but by the time we got out of MCO mom was not feeling great... we went straight to DTD to grab our APs at the guest relations and hoping to eat at the Earl's but DTD was so PACKED!!! and it was arm so it got worst for Mom... finally got her to eat at Wolfgang express but that did not alliviate any naseausness (sp?) then finally check in at Buena Vista Spa (more details about this resort I think I am trading POP for this hotel!!! ::yes:: ) by the time she got to freshen up it was around 5ish and crashed for a nap... Rebecca came to the resort and I was hoping to get mom up and about before 7PM but no luck... did not want to stay far... and by the time I remember that I have jamie's number it was to late to inform you guys I will not make it... the phone number I have for you Linda must an old one... text were being rejected.. :(
Come Monday we tried to get mom to do some park but that was a no go... so basically the trip evolve on how mom was feeling...

Again my sincerest apology....

Hopefully we get to have a meet and greet by March for our picnic... Picnic on me :) to make up for my absence...:flower3:

PS: we were supposed to fly out of MCO last night at 610PM but all flights got canceled due to a crash problem at PHL... If I stayed with SWA the next available flight was Tuesday at 6:45AM... Called USAir and finally got 2 stand by sits for 7:45AM and thank god those two did not showed up so we were able to fly out of MCO this morning... Slept at the airport facing the sign "The MAgic of Disney" :lmao: it was not all bad since while being stuck there I was able to book my by 4 get 3 free nights for April :thumbsup2 ... the end... now I am back to work... :faint: 125 days!!!

I'm so sorry you mom didn't feel well. We definitely missed you! I told Linda that I had kept everybody's phone numbers from September in my phone up until just a few weeks ago--I should have at least kept yours :guilty:

I won't be back until late May, then mid-October after that, so I don't know when we'll meet again :sad1:

So, how's everybody doing with today's messy weather???:confused3 It didn't turn out as bad as they predicted for us. Still ruined my plans for the day. I stayed home & baked cookies! I'd rather be at Disney!!:rotfl:
Speaking of which.....I forgot to tell you about my volunteer experience during the last trip. I was in the Backlot Tour skit with allllllll the water!!!:lmao: Laugh!!! OMG! I'd do it again in a heartbeat! My brother actually got "volunteered" too!! Of course he was the captain of the boat. Another lady & I were the comic-relief deckhands! When I finally have time to get my pics, I'll post some of it! If I ever get a chance to volunteer for something again, I most certainly will do it! FUN!
