What a nice trip.. but I really missed thinking about the "real" vacation (the cruise of course) had a lovely time.. did I miss much here? Too many pages to read back on so if there was anything good just let me know. Ann

We're just back from the Cape as well. I got tired of schlepping beach stuff back and forth to the car and loading bikes on and off the bike rack!

Next summer vacation? - 7 nights on the Magic - no cooking, no cleaning, no schlepping!

Polypal...I agree, just got back from Orlando, with the same thoughts, next summer vacation CRUISE! CRUISE! CRUISE!

But first, we HAVE to do Orlando again Easter Break next year.

Thats why we stay right at the beach.. all we have to do is walk out the door and we are there. However..I spent the entire week thinking.. hmmm how many days is it until we cruise? (no countdown clock at the cape )

Let's see, I lost my glasses on the Banana Boat Ride on CC, walked into the women's bathroom at the MCO airport, no, you didn't miss anything Ann, LOL!!!

I agree, the cape is a beautiful place...but it can't quite compare to Castaway Cay. Of course, I'm lucky enough to live here... Except for today, it was a beautiful weekend!

Luckily for me, my DD told me the ladies room was empty, when she came running in screaming, "Dad, you're in the Ladies room!!!"

Glad you enjoyed your vacation. I, too, am tired of packing up the car for a day at the beach.

Actually, we spend more time at the ponds during the summer and do the beaches spring and fall.

I'm always amazed how traffic goes from bumper-to-bumper to fairly empty after Labor Day. I can take left turns again and go through the center of town!

However, all I did at the water areas this summer was read and plan are real 'vacation'. So many people would ask me questions about WDW and DCL while I was on the beach.

I could answer anything they threw at me, thanks to these forums!

I'm still hoping the Cape stays warm thru the fall. Two years ago we swam thru October. 'Talk about your GLobal Warming!'

Glad you had a nice break, even if it wasn't a cruise. We could only afford (time wise) to get away for three days this last weekend, as school has already started here, along with soccer, student council, youth groups, young marines, etc etc....


Barb (aka inkkognito) had a review of Golden Mickey's...did ya see that post? I am excited they are finally getting some more shows.

Sorry Ann...not going to be able to coordinate a trip at that time. I am still looking at either spring break (march 20th cruise) or May and just take him out for a week. My worst problem for December was getting him out of school during finals week AND the fact that the lady that watches my girls, will be out of town. She is the only one I trust with my girls...maybe I could send them up to stay where Chelsea does?
