Hi all ~ I thought I would just check in and see what's up with everyone!

We halted the Disney plans for the time being ~ We just listed our house for sale! It's only been a week and I'm just begining to get frustrated about selling. There are two houses near my place that I would like to put an offer on ~ but we want to sell our house first.

Anyone else moving?

Hi Sandra! Nice to see you're around Where are you moving to? I'm sure the offers will start to come in soon. Don't worry, your house has only been on the market for a week. Is your agent advertising your house or have any open houses scheduled?

Hey SandraC!

We put our house on the market about 4 weeks ago. We've only had one offer which we didn't accept. The market is SO SLOW right now!

There has only been one house sold in our entire area in the last 30 days and there are about 60 houses for sale right now in our community.

We were hoping for a quicker sale but oh well, we're hoping before the New Year now we'll be outta here.

We will be staying in a basement suite until early next year when we will more than likely be moving to the Ottawa area.

You'll be fine Sandra! We went through our move last year and we survived (as usual). I have moved so many times in the past 20 years you would think I would have it in the bag but surprisingly, I have yet to have a move that was without frustration or stress. I guess it's just par for the course. But everything always seems to fall into place in the end.

Hi Sandra. Just moved 4 weeks ago ... and I'm still alive and well ... well, sort of We were building new so we had no choice but to firm up the offer on the new house before we even put the old house up for sale because of the 4 months required to build. We sold in July when things were really hot, and it took us one week. Would have probably sold sooner as there were 2 couples definitely wanting it, but didn't want the October closing. I feel your frustration though. Every time you walk out the door, you're wiping something up, or picking up stuff just in case someone comes by It's the time of year that people are busy with Christmas, not thinking about moving. You'll see things really look up in January when people are bored about being at home, and want to check out other people's houses. By that time, they can think about planning spring/summer in a new place.
