HHN Ticket Prices

metro, last year and the one before, the hhn tickets for friday were changed after opening weekend to include the 3rd friday due to low sales.

i can remember going to guest services to get a partial refund on the difference of the new price.

i bought my tickets in July and the change for the dates i was there happened while i was in orlando that week.

with the new rof tickets, might be hard to predict at this point.

in past years, opening weekend has had the lowest crowds.
that could possibly change with the passes that are new this year .
I think the ROF pass will greatly increase the crowd level for the first ten days so you're right...predicting crowds is going to be really hard to do.

Opening weekend crowds haven't been that low the past two years...it just takes longer for them to enter. By the time I leave, it's as crowded as a Sunday night later in the month.

So what's the deal with the RIP tours, macraven? Explain to me in detail exactly what happens on these tours.

I'll have to remember to take some crowds pictures this year on opening night for you. ;)

what i am posting is how the tours have been set up in the past years.
this years tours info has not been released yet.
anything i state below could change.

the regular rip tours are either 3, 4 or 5 hours.
held on peak and non peak nights.
price reflects date and length of your tour.

groups on a friday night might have 3 different start times.
7-8-9:00

decide what date and length of rip tour you want.
call and book and pay for it over the phone.

you are placed in a group with a tour guide.
you don't necessarily get to chose though.
each tour group should hold 20 peeps.

if one group is full, you would be placed in another group with a guide.

there will be many tour guides doing the tours for the hours that are set up that night.

you are taken thru most of the houses, if not all of them.
you usually walk thru the scare zones, sometimes you ride Jaws at night.
the tour guide will decide how the evening will go for the hhn event.
i'm sure imput from the guests will be considered.

if you are in a shorten time period, tour, you might not make all of the houses and zones.

all groups will be scheduled for Bill and Ted's show.
if you don't want to do bill and ted's, let your guide be aware of where you will wait for them outside the arena.

you will probably have a restroom break during your tour.

you will be placed in a group with others you may know or not know.
when assigned to a group, you won't be separated from your spouse or so.

you can't request a large group of your friends to be placed in the same tour group. if you have 6 friends, you should go with the private/exclusive vip rip tours.
this is how i ended up only booking private/exclusive vip rip tours.
was not allowed to have all the homies in one regular group.
therefore, booked a private group of 7 hours.

you do not need the ep when you are on the tour.
your tour guide leads you to the entrance for the express entrance.

the TM's working that house will allow your group in with a very little wait.
you do not go thru the express line and wait there, you go around it.

once the tour is over, you are on your own to finish your night in the park.

i did the regular tour a couple of times.
when the rules changed and i couldn't get a regular tour to include 6 friends of mine, i booked the private tour.
that tour is set up different.

when you book a tour, you can get a discount if you have the aph.
i believe it is 10% for the regular tours.

the day tour of the houses is sweet..........
i went to the first one they had.
haven't missed a year of doing them since.

you meet with hhn officials and given an overview of the event.
you have questions and answer period and interact with others in your group.

you might be shown some older hhn videos during this time period in the VIP lounge.

once that is over, you are taken thru 3 of the houses with the lights on.
you can see the details that are put into these houses.
you can take pictures of everything.........woot!

the guide will explain how things are linked together in the houses.
how they make sense to the theme.
you will also learn the ins and outs of where the scareactors will be in the house.
all background info will be revealed to you.
and, you can ask questions about the houses.

one year we learned how the staff prevented objects being stolen from inside the houses during hhn nights.

this day tour if is about 2 hours long.

the prices and dates for all the tours have not been released yet.
looking at my notes, the last two years i booked my tours about the first week in august.
nothing was published about the tours until then/august.

i better stop here as i could go on and on...
i could start a thread about hhn and what to expect.
i am completely and totally addicted to it.........

came back to add you must buy the hhn ticket to enter the park in order to do the tour.

Good stuff, mac! So how did they prevent things from being taken out of the houses during the event? How much did the day tour cost last year?

even if you take the day tour, if it is offered this year, you probably won't remember where the boo holes are in the houses, or the places that were pointed out to you during the day tour.

houses are very dark inside and you move along in a congo line ususally.
if the line is moving quickly, you could pass sections that you saw in the daytime.

night time is a different experience.
