HHN Ticket Prices

I wanna...I wanna... I wanna go on the VIP RIP tour!
Can I go as usual for Friday and get the tour for Saturday?

Yes? No? Yes????

Weeeeee..... I want to, I'll be like in heaven.... Macraven! :lmao:

Marquibiri :thumbsup2

hey, i told you to change your dates........
next year check with me before you book.
go for the columbus day weekend...............

i do the private exclusive tour.
it has been in the past about $2000.

you can take the regular tours that are for 4, 5 hours on fridays and saturdays.
you will be in a group of about 20 peeps.
you can not have your entire group be in the same tour.

you will do most of the houses with a tour guide so it is a decent deal.
you can select the start time.
in the past, there have been 3 different start times for the rip tours.
going that route is a good way to see the highlights of the event without having to buy the epp.
when that tour is over, you have the rest of the evening to do the park on your own.

i tried to have 7 in one of those cheaper tours and was told not possible.

that is why i started to go with the private tours years ago.
i can select my own group and plan the night with the tour guide in advance.
the info on the rip vip tours have not been released yet but in the past years that tour is from 7:00pm to 2:00 am

came back to edit ......regular tours are usually 4 or 5 hours
don't know what if any changes will be made for '11.
we'll have to wait and see.

Wait, does that mean I need to form my 5 person group for the private tours........
Wonder if there are any for non peak nights? Since you're saying they last till 2 am..??

I promise I will keep in mind next year columbus weekend for my trip.. You know I am always going on opening weekend :)

Marquibiri :thumbsup2

Question from someone in Uk who has already bought their tickets to get into Universal and IOA?? The HHN website wont allow me to add S&S add-on without buying a day ticket.....will i be able to buy the S&S on say a Wednesday (12th October) for the Thursday (13th) night? Hope this makes sense :confused3

We'll be there for the first two nights of the event (sept 23 and 24). Does everyone think we should get Express passes to be safe or can we see everything in 2 nights since I'm assuming the crowds are lower the first weekend.

In two nights you will see everything just fine. I am able to see every house twice both nights. Once in the regular line and once using the express pass.
Also, all shows, and with spare time to enjoy the scarezones.

Last year, when I was done with the houses, twice. I was heading to the scarezones to check each out more closely and it started to rain.... When it rains, no scareactors are in sight.. :sad2:

if you book a private/exclusive rip hhn tour, you can have up to 12 max in your group.

you choose who you want to be included with you.

a few years back when i booked the rip vip tour, we had 8 homies total.

it is the same price if you have 3 peeps or 12 peeps in the rip vip tour.

if you take the regular tour, you are put into tour groups by vip tours.

if you were going with a spouse or friend, i'm sure you could have the two of you placed in the same tour group. a small number of friends wanting to be in the same rip tour group can sometimes be placed together.
depends on how many slots are open for that tour guide.

if you have, say 5 friends, it can not be guarenteed all would be in the same rip tour group.

the regular tours take about 20 peeps.
if a group if full, at their maximum, peeps would be placed in another group.

follow me?

one year i was told that i could not count on all my friends to be placed in the same tour group. (i think i had 6 homies besides myself that year) this was when i booked the regular rip tours that were for 4 hours.

i was told in order to guarantee for us all to be together on the tour, i would need to consider booking the private tour.

so i did and have only booked private tours since then.
it is so worth it to me.

anyone can sign up with vip tours for a rip tour on one of the hhn nights.
the peak night tours cost more but last for 5 hours.
the non peak night rip tours last 4 hours.

with those tours, you have time before or after the tour to do the park on your own for the rest of the time.
you don't get express once your rip tour is over though.

peak nights are fridays and saturdays.
the closing time is 2:00 am
peak night hhn tickets and epp, cost more than the non peak nights.

non peak nights are wed, thur and park closing is midnight.
new this year is a non peak night of sunday with a park closing at 1:00 am.
if you look at the prices, that is why you see sundays with a higher ticket cost, including the epp..

when you book a regular rip tour, you pay for yourself only.

when you book a private tour, one person only pays for it.
i book the that tour and have the ones in the group pay me their share later.

have i confused you?

buy the s & s hhn ticket the day you are in the park.
show your day ticket to get the discounted hhn ticket.
do it early in the day, don't wait till park closing to buy it.
that line to buy tickets will be very long at guest services.

i was there during one hurricane, maybe it was 2005??
it was miserable with rain coming down in sheets.
a saturday night and the park had so many guests leave.
you could in a way call it 'dead'......

did not see as many scareactors but the houses were great!!
that made up for vacant scare zones.

Excellent! Not at all mac! I pretty much all ready had the idea... sort of... kind of...

Well, I guess... at least for this year the private tour is out of the question. It is just me, myself, and I! :)

Regular tour will have to do it... maybe...
Next year will see if I can travel in a different time frame...

Marquibiri :thumbsup2

go on the regular rip tour.
if you really like it, then you would love the private tours.

if the day house tours are available this year, do take it in.
it is worth the price.

you are in a group and given a general overview of the theme of hhn and how the houses and zones fit in.
you are given details of what went into the makings of them.

after the general portion, a tour guide will take the group inside 3 of the houses with the lights on.

you will see all the details put into it that you will not see when you go thru it at night.

another great thing about the day tour of the houses is for those that fear they can not handle hhn.

if you see what it is all about with the lights on, you will be prepared, sort of, of what will lie ahead for you in the dark.

i take lots of pictures of the insides of the houses during the day tour.

i can remember the first year they had this tour.
of course i took it.

the next year the tour was $10.
alas, those prices will never return.........

Can you buy the Express Pass also at the park the day you are going? Like the S&S upgrade? Or will these tickets sold out early? (going on a thursday in early october?!)

Can you buy the Express Pass also at the park the day you are going? Like the S&S upgrade? Or will these tickets sold out early? (going on a thursday in early october?!)

you can buy the hhn express passes in advance on the universal website or you can buy the express pass the day you want it.

the hhn express passes are sold by the date.
can't buy them and assume you can use them on any day.
they are date specified.

the stay and scream tickets are the discounted tickets to the public.
when you buy the day ticket, you can buy the epp for the same day at the same time in advance.
or buy both on the day you are there.

i have not heard of the hhn tix or the epp selling out for an early thursday in the years i have attended.

i see the change for tickets this year has added a new way to buy them.
Rush of Fear for one example.

multi day tickets are the way i go.....

the studios can hold a lot of people.
for them to sell out for the hhn tickets for the sept/ early portion of oct would shock me.

it just isn't as popular as the mid to end of october time period.

I think the ROF Pass is really going to increase crowds this year especially since it's such a good deal.

i know it will make a mess for sundays, but hoping thursdays stay tame with the crowds.

with the Saturday hhn ticket included in one of the packages....
oh my......

that will be wall to wall peeps.
even with the express pass to help deviate the long line waits, you still have to deal with using the Restrooms, drink stands, counter service places and just walking..

True...all of it. Sundays are my nights to enjoy so I hope it won't be too bad.

Now that I am living in Florida, I CANT WAIT for my first ever HHN!! Any idea when the Frequent Fear Pass with Express Pass prices will be posted?

Usually by the end of July to mid-August. I always wait and get my tickets in September once everything has been released and I've budgeted.

Last year express added $80 for the regular FFP. So figure about $80-$90 more for this year's pass.

Yes...I was there on Sunday night in 2005 when Hurricane Wilma came across the state. It wasn't too bad that night in Orlando but that was the storm which knocked out power to South Florida for weeks. Some people didn't get their power back on until almost Thanksgiving! That was also the last year HHN was held in IOA.

3. Based off other things I've read here, I'm seriously considering an Express Pass. Would they be likely to sell out prior to the night of? and if so, is it possible to pre-purchase the express before getting my HHN ticket at the gate?

I would buy it sooner rather than later. We learned our lesson one year when we didn't buy it ahead of time. Got to the park and it was packed. Waits for the houses were atleast 1.5 to 2 hours and all the EP for the night were sold out. We only saw about 3 houses the whole night and it was miserable.

Every year since then (I believe this happened to us on '05, possibly '06) we make sure to buy ours early.

I have a Premier Annual Pass and get a free ticket for one off peak night for HHN. Is there anything I can do with this, like upgrade it or something like that because it usually goes to waste as I buy a FFP??
Any passholders out there got any suggestions please??:confused3

Not that I know of...it's one of the perks of the Premier AP. It would go to waste for me too since I buy the FFP with Express.
