HHN 15 Trip Report

[Metro West]

Here's what we did tonight:

Demon Cantina: Very cool house. Lots of great scenery and actors. Don't miss this one!

Body Collectors: Not bad. It was fun but not worth the 100 min wait!

Where Evil Hides: Very cool. Again, lots of great scenery and actors. Since this is one of the houses at the Studio, there weren't many people waiting. Another don't miss!

Cold Blind Terror: Didn't do much for me. It was too much like Disorientorium from last year.

Blood Ruins: Didn't do much for me. It looked cool on the website but I didn't like it.

We didn't do The Skool or Terror Mines so I'll check those out next week.

The wait times weren't bad. Hulk and DD were 15 mins and Spiderman was a walk-on. The longest line for any house we did was 100 mins for Body Collectors...even though the sign said 45 mins.

It was really crowded but I expect it to calm down once they start having the off peak nights. I'm heading over again next week!

where exactly do you wait do you enter park through US or IOa and what do you 1st and then second I need exact details of what to do I don't want to waste time being lost where should we stand to get in the 1st house at may be 5:45
I will be there sat oct 22 so will be crowded on a sat and can only go once

Here, I'll copy my post from IOA Central

You need to show your AP to get into the party zone but it's kinda weird the way they do it.
Between Jimmy Neutron and the Boneyard is where you enter. Those who do not have an AP go to the left, into the line for the event, which is in front of huge green fence doors. These people are now in the front of the line for the event.
Those who have an AP can go to the right and go into the party zone.
It's a DJ spinning tunes, you can go thru the Batrun maze, there's a bar, and a food stand.
So I went into the party zone, went thru the maze, then got in line. I was near the back, and ended up waiting 20 minutes per house.
You'd be better off arriving there at about 5pm and waiting near the front of the doors sitting on the ground.

And you wanna know what's really funny? After you pass the guards, you can walk into the party zone. There's nothing stopping the people from going over. It's just that as you walk up, the guards tell the people without the APs to go into the left line, and they stay there, which actually turns out better because they're closer to the front.

While I appreciate you excitement for HHN and your desire to capture photos of the events, you really should refrain from taking flash photography inside the mazes. Having been behind someone last year who insisted on taking flash photos, you cannot imagine how angry the scare actors became.

In addition to being unsafe and unpleasant for them, you also ruin some of the enjoyment for people going thru the mazes around you.

I agree. If I would have waited an hour to see those houses and then someone took a million photos I would be upset. It is nice to see them, but Maybe half the photos would have been nice too!

Are waits long with Express Pass at HHN? Going two nights last wkend in Oct. Want to get it all done and getting nervous reading about all the wait lines. Going on a Thursday and a Sunday, but still right before Halloween. Already have Express Passes and are hoping they will save my butt!

As long as you have the Express Passes for the nights you're going, you should be fine. As a rule of thumb..the closer to Halloween..the longer the lines. Have fun!

just got back
went last night oct 22 HHN stated at 5:45 from US and did 5 houses and Bill and Ted at 7:30 then did the Skool and demon Cantina with a fast pass at about 8:00 then did the other 5 houses with fast passes and then did Terror Mines again later and demon Cantina 4 more times and Bill and Ted at 10:30 got front seats with fast pass left at about 1:50 am it was good we liked it
