Hhi Visit Sold Us On Dvc

Just returned from a week at HHI. Stayed in a 2 bedroom villa (wonderful!!) and had ball. What a great place! It has a great atmosphere and tons of activities for the whole family including my 4 year old son.

Thursday we had the DVC presentation and we were sold. Paperwork should be here soon. Can't wait! Question - the only incentive we were offered was $1500 off. No one discussed $5 off per point and still keeping current year points. Can anyone tell me a little more about this?

If you haven't tried HHI, check it out. It is absolutely beautiful and very relaxing.

We are BWV owners who just added on at HHI. I knew we wanted/needed more points, but I waited until the announcement for BCV on Feb.3 before I made up my mind on where to purchase. Different resorts have different incentives, so when they announced that BCV would have only $5 per point(making it $70) per point, we decided to add on at HHI because we were offered $10 off per point by selling our first year's points back to DVD, thus making it $65 per point. Even though BCV's incentive allowed you to keep your points, we have a June trip planned, so using the points at BCV would not be possible until after Aug.1. I am really kicking myself right now, because I added on Feb. 8, 5 days after the incentive at HHI went from $13 per point to $10! Even though I thought about BCV, adding on at HHI made more sense, as we usually drive to FL from NC, and HHI is about halfway between the 2. With an 11-month advantage, I can add a night or 2 on one end of our trip to WDW at HHI! I am glad to hear you enjoyed the resort because I have never been there.

We joined DVC with HH as our home resort after we stayed there 2 years ago. My idea of vacation is relaxation and you definately get that at HH! We absolutely love it. We aren't going back this year as we could only take on vacation this year and its to OKW. But, starting next year, we will be making an annual pilgrimage to HH and OKW!
