Leaving for HH and still trying to decide where to dine. I have seen some posts mentioning Scott's fishmarket. Can anyone tell me if they enjoyed their meals here and what the price range is. I've also seen "Crazy Crab" mentioned more than a few times.Anyone know how the food is there?

We dined at Scott's last year and it was good. If Crazy Crab is the restaurant out at Harbour Town, we've been there as well. I remember they also had good crab there. I don't remember prices but I do know we were not in "sticker shock" at either place.

Our all time favorite is the Salty Dog. I had some fabulous crab legs there last month.

Have a great trip!

We make a point to dine at Scott's at least once each trip. They offer a 10% DVC discount and have a nice menu selection. Best of all, it's only about 75 yards from the resort. :)

They have a fun outdoor bar, with live entertainment thru the summer. You have the option of outside or inside dining.

Enjoy!

Scott's has the best Conch Chowder we have ever had, and they have a pretty nice t-shirt too! We went there late one afternoon and sat at the small bar outside. Seemed to be a few locals mixing in with us which was nice too.

I would definitely choose Scott's over Crazy Crab. If a trip to Harbour Town is in your plans, you can check it out (or maybe the Quarterdeck at the lighthouse), but I wouldn't make a special trip for Crazy Crab. The Salty Dog at South Beach is another place worth checking out if you're already there (or just have to have one of their t-shirts), but I wouldn't make a special trip just for the food.

Hudson's, at the north end of the island is a good choice, IMHO. But there are so many places! When you check in, ask for the restaurant guide that has all the menus; most even have prices. That will either help, or totally confuse you. ;)

If you want Seafood, Old Oyster Factory (right across the water from DVC) is a great family place. The type of food is similar to Crazy Crab but much better. They also offer a 10% DVC discount. I'm 2 for 2 asking for both the discount and the fee salad (with coupon).

You can't beat being able to walk over to Scott's and sit on the patio with a view of the marina. Ah, what a life! My kid's even found something they would actually eat off the kid's menu! :)

Our favorite seafood restaurant on the island is The Old Oyster Factory. We make sure to go at least once each trip. We really didn't like the Crazy Crab at all and found Scott's to be just okay. One of our favorite restaurants on the island is Truffles. It's not specifically a seafood restaurant, but the food is wonderful!

We made a day trip over to HHI one Sunday when we were in Savannah for a conference and found that the Crazy Crab was the only place we could find open for Sunday lunch. Might be different now.
