I need some insights from HHI lovers. I live within driving distance of HHI, but I have a very hard time seeing the value in using my
DVC points for a stay there. A few factors for me:
- I get to go to other nearby beaches somewhat frequently, and someone in my extended family owns a beach house at one. So HHI feels less "special".
- The resort isn't actually on the beach. The other non-beach front places to stay at HHI are quite a bit cheaper. Part of the value of DVC at WDW is the premium location and convenience, so it feels like HHI just falls a bit flat on that.
- There aren't any other Disney attractions around, so I'm not sure what sets it apart from other beach stays.
I'd love to hear what you love about Disney's HHI, what your favorite things are to do that you can't do if you're not staying at the Disney resort, and reasons why I should use points here instead of WDW. I'm sure at some point I'll book something just to try it out, but I'd appreciate any insights you can share.
