My short answer is "yes." The longer answer is "depends." If the weather is decent (pretty good chance of that), then there is biking all over the island on dedicated bike trails including to the Beach House. There are yard games scattered around the resort: bocci ball, giant checkers, horseshoes x 2, corn hole, basketball, and a putting green. In Murggie's Den, there is a pool table, and there is a second one over at the Beach House along with a second corn hole game, foosball table, and ping-pong table. Moreover, there is crabbing or fishing from the pier (no license needed), activities such as tie-dye t-shirts, guided nature walks, swimming at two pools (yes, both the main pool and the Beach House pool are heated), hot tub, hammocks, and a general sense of being able to let your older kids have free rein of the resort since it's small and somewhat isolated. The 3-year old can play in the playground located between Bldgs 22 and 24.
The island itself has lots of activities from mini-golf, to fishing charters, to kayaking/paddle boarding. The last two can be booked and depart from Shelter Cove which means you can walk to them. Obviously, there is the beach, though in March the water will likely be too chilly to stay in long. There are also lots of shops and cool places to eat. All in all, most who visit HHI are surprised at how much fun it is to just relax, kick back, and revel in the low country vibe.

Yes...yes, they are terrible. Bad enough to base a Saturday Night Live skit on them! Some are worse than others, but even the best are only passable. The refurbishment at DHHIR was to have been completed in 2020 but got pushed to 2021, and then that was pushed into 2022. Two test rooms have been done--a 1BR and a studio, and the big couch is going away. There will still be a smaller, pullout loveseat of unknown quality, however. At least it will be new! The total resort refurbishment is supposed to start in earnest this year, though I suspect that won't happen until after Labor Day.
