Just added on at HH and have decided to take our first trip in January '02. Does anyone have a specific room or building that has a nice view, and/or is close to the pool?

More questions to follow......Thanks.....Johnnie.

#27 and 24 are close to the pool and have a great view of the marsh. The only shortcoming with those buildings is that parking is a little ways off. (Not a big deal IMHO).

There are only 2BR villas in those buildings. If you have a 1BR or studio- I'd suggest building 11 or 13- and ask for marsh view.

Here is a <a href="http://www.members.tripod.com/~ttowery/hhmap.jpg">map</a> from Tommy Towery's great <a href="http://www.members.tripod.com/">HH site.</a>

Have a wonderful trip!

Doc,

My family and I stayed in building 27, Villa 2722 to be specific, this past summer. Yes it is close to the pool and eveything else near the pool. Farther away from the main building. As a side note, building 27 is a "smokeing permitted" building.

Thanks, we had booked a 1BR, but given their location and the fact that we have a 2 and 4 year old, I think we will change to a 2BR. I would like to request to be closer to the pool. Bldg 11 (I'm assuming is the lodge) and 13 will be an extra chilly hike for a pool dip in January. Also the tot lot and store are by the pool. We will request 24, or 27. Did you notice if the rooms in 27 were real smokey smelling??

Is there any advantage to the lodge rooms??

Thanks.....Johnnie.

There are some advantages to the Lodge Rooms.
1) Parking under the building in unpleasant weather, late at night and easy access.
2) Elevator is a real plus if you have a lot of stuff to haul.
3) Luggage carriers - lots available to roll on to the elevator and into your room.
4) Close to the office for any one-on-one advice or questions you need answered.
5) Big Murggie's Den for the fireplace, games like checkers, newpapers and TV. (coffee, juice and a snack are offered to guests, check with front desk on times)
6) Some rooms have great views of the inlet, lots of dolphin sightings and marshland birds, turtles, rabbits, fish.

Hope this helps.
