We had fun at Blizzard Beach, sometimes we want to be able to spend more time there and try everything! We may go in the fall when the crowds are less to get to experience more! Hopefully, we won't have the same problem we did before of the link up with our friends!

Yeah, I think I have a bunch of pizza plans for our September trip! Pizza on the way down, pizza at DTD, and I'm sure somewhere else while we are there!! :rotfl2:

The Disney water parks are a lot of fun. It's been a few years since we've gone to one because there never seems to be enough time. I really need to plan a 10 day trip to get everything in!

I'm glad you finally found your friends. Many years ago, we waited at the entrance of Universal Studios for friends for almost an hour. They were not answering their cell phones. They were inside the park riding rides. Needless to say, I was mad at myself for waiting for them.

Looking forward to reading about Harambe Nights!

Yeah, I agree, I remember a trip we took back in 2006, we happened to get engaged on it, but it was 9 nights, that was EPIC, we actually got to spend time in both water parks! Nowadays that never really happens because we only get weekend type trips mostly!

I am glad we decided to actually do things while we were waiting, that way we didn't actually waste a whole bunch of time. we just kept making it convenient to stop back by the lockers and check the phone! We are totally gonna have to plan better next time for how we are going to meet up! It will save a lot of headache in the end! :headache:

Since you travel to WDW in the fall & winter ... What do you pack? For example would you wear leggings with a low boot for the evenings? Or dresses and cardigans? Or both cool clothes and warmer clothes? Do you bring a jacket, sweater or coat? We've never been to WDW in the fall & winter only April through August ... So what do you wear clothes wise and shoes ect.?
Thanks in advance : )

Well, it is a little difficult to say. In early Fall, Late September/Early October, it is still pretty hot, but sometimes in the 70s at night. So I would still pack summery type attire. I do start checking the weather about a week out so I can get a better idea if I need to pack multiple options. If you go in January though, I have been there with it snowing before! When I was running in the Half Marathon in 2010, it totally snowed on us while we were running, and the rest of the time there, it was very cold and rainy. So definitely need warmer clothes. It is a little tough to decide, it is a little easier on us since we don't have to fly because really I could just pack as much as I wanted and it wouldn't matter. What month are you guys going? I may could give you a better idea based on that?

I know!! I am a horrible person! I deserve the grief!! Seriously though, let me tell you, we did find one person to take a photo of the two of us, and it was the absolute worst photo of us I had ever seen. (Sorry if the gentleman who took the photo is reading this TR):sad2: It was so bad, that I just deleted on the spot in case I needed more memory on my card. I never delete photos like that, but this one I did. I really did want to get one, but after that one, and how much we had eaten, and how tired we were, I just got lazy. It is totally my fault, and I will not promise you something else that I cannot keep! SO, with that in mind! I PROMISE, that I will get a photo of us somewhere in the vicinity of Grand Floridian of us dressed up together, when we go in September! If I break the promise again, you never have to read another one of my PTR/TRs :rotfl2:

On the bright side, we do have lots of photos of us TOGETHER on the entire rest of the TR! So hopefully those will be enough to tide you over until September!

Okay, I am appeased! ;) Especially with the great Blizzard beach photos! Yay! And I will always read your PTR/TR's but they'll have to and with 'and Amber is the greatest!' or something along those lines :rotfl:

I can't wait to hit up Typhoon Lagoon on our trip! I have been wanting to hit up a water park in forever! In fact the last time I did was in Disney back in 2005!!

The pictures are great! A bummer though that you guys kept missing each other but atleast you found them eventually!! AND since you didn't mention it yay for not getting a sunburn!!!!

We love Blizzard Beach - definitely don't remember so many photopass photographers, but that is definitely cool ... and makes sense since a lot of people don't have waterproof cameras and probably don't get as many photos as they would like

Bummer about not meeting up with your friends as early as was planned - but at least you did see them and at a minimum could stop worrying!

Looking forward to hearing about Harambe nights!

Will be at WDW from November 9-23 so for two weeks ... The thing for us is coming from the mountains of Utah it will be between 15 degrees up to 32 degrees when we leave for Florida so I guess anything cold wise Florida has we can handle : ) I'll for sure keep my eyes on the weather since I have it on my iPad and iPhone. I'm just a little too much into my clothes ... Yeah one of those people with the shoes, purses ect. (( wait your kinda like that too so you get it )) So I want to have the cute dress with shoes & purse or the cute jeans & sweater with cute uggs. Actually now I'm more worried about being too hot than too cold now ... So summery clothes with cardigans?

Yay, I am glad we were able to come to some type of appeasement! I am really glad looking back that I have those photos from Blizzard Beach! We did have a great time, even though we weren't there for very long, and it was nice to have those Photopass photos to see!

Typhoon Lagoon rocks!!!! Definitely my favorite of the two! Crush & Gusher!! Wheeee! Love it!! Eventually I want to have a large enough group to get one of those premium cabana type things! We only usually ever go with just the two of us!

:worship::worship::worship:No SUNBURN!!! :worship::worship::worship:
I am proud of myself for being so diligent with the sunscreen! I think I am finally at the point in my life where it has become more of a habit that a having to remind myself to do it thing!

I didn't remember that many Photopass Photographers there either before, but also I guess we never really did look for them?? This time it was like some sort of Hidden Mickey game, like find the Photopass Photographers! It is definitely a new experience stopping at them whenever you see them!

We are really glad that we finally did get to meet up with them for at least a little while, but on the bright side, we will be spending time with them at the Food & Wine festival and MNSSHP in September! Harambe Nights day coming right up! I was so busy yesterday that I didn't get a chance to post!

Yay, we will be there during that time frame too!!! We are gonna be there the 10th-15th of November!! You should definitely be fine with summer type clothing with some options for cardigans and stuff during the evening! In November I would definitely be more worried about being too hot than too cold. If the weather is good we should have day temps in the 70s! I will keep my fingers crossed for us!!

We had made it back to the resort from Blizzard Beach and it was time to get ready for tonight! We would be attending Harambe Nights!!! We did plan a little bit of park fun before hand, which interestingly enough, turned out to be a somewhat once in a lifetime experience...:faint:

We had parked our car in Zazu, which was definitely fitting, considering that was my Disneybound for the event tonight!! I had a two-toned blue cardigan, white shirt, yellow shorts, and orange Magic Band!!

ZazuElevator_zpsfad97352.jpg

Jeremy was dressed as Rafiki, which I am not sure if you will be able to tell from the photos, but it was put together like this, light gray vest, gray shorts, white shirt, dark blue Magic Band, gray shoes with light blue shoestrings, and he was supposed to be wearing a red belt...well, he forgot that part...Way to go Jeremy, just mess up the ENTIRE outfit GAH!!! :scared: Just kidding, it wasn't that big of a deal!

We hopped in the car, for some reason we drove over, I don't really remember why actually? I didn't write it in the notes either, so anyway, we drove over and from the looks of it, there weren't many people doing that...only one car going in other than us?

HarambeNightsParking_zps00569a14.jpg

We had a fastpass to ride Kilimanjaro Safari..Oh RIGHT! That is why we drove, we were trying to make it to the fastpass and didn't know if the bus would come in time! Now that we have that straight, we barely made it to the fastpass, in fact, we made it there late, but within one minute of it not working! I think this was the longest line we had to wait in the entire time we were at WDW! It took about 10-15 minutes for us to actually get on the ride, then we were on our way, this ride takes top prize for the most interesting Kilimanjaro Safari we had ever been on! It started out normal enough, we were cruising along checking out some animals!

BongoBehindTree_zpsb2dd86b1.jpg

Those silly Bongos always hiding from us! Oh and I love pelicans! We have them around here, my favorite thing to do is watch them dive for food!! They are just so cool!

PinkBackedPelicans_zps5d942d2a.jpg

Hellooooo Hippooooo! I see you looking at me!

HippoLooksAtMe_zps332b1969.jpg

This giraffe looked sad to me, I can't figure out why, kind of like, I was eating...can I not just eat in peace please? When we pulled up it looked our way, but then after a minute or so went back to eating!

GriaffeChillin_zpse69f84fd.jpg

Ugh, Wildebeests! They have such a bad wrap for me after that whole stampede thing in the Lion King! They are still nice to look at, and photograph!

Wildebeests_zps86b1c62d.jpg

Ahhh Flamingos! Who knew that the little island they stay on is a Hidden Mickey?? Raise Your Hand?? Anyone? This brings me to another point. Disney Nature films! Has anyone seen Crimson Wing? It is like so sad!!! It makes me sad just thinking about it now! If you do see it, you won't be able to look at Flamingos the same way again, or at least I can't! :offtopic:

PinkFlamingos_zps24f2a843.jpg

I just love the Masai Giraffes! They have such beautiful patterns! I also really like the darker color they seem to be!

MasaiGiraffe_zpsc4f73cd6.jpg

Moving on to the elephants! The juvenile ones were having a trunk war!! It was so cute how they were wrestling with them! I wonder if that is like a thumb war, do you think they count down beforehand...1, 2, 3, 4, I declare a trunk war!!

YoungElephantsPlaying_zpsb30aa738.jpg

Oh how I love Bonteboks!! These are my absolute FAV animal on the safari!! They have the most beautiful horns! And the white faces! Ahh, I just love them! It is so sad that they are extinct in the wild  At least there is still a pretty decent sized population of them around, maybe one day they will able to get released back out there.

MaleficentHornedBantabok_zps22521145.jpg

Now, for the moment we have all been waiting for!! I am trying to figure out how I want to preface this story! So, most all of the time we have been on Kilimanjaro Safari, the Lions have been rather hard to see, they are usually laying down, or hiding, or just not the easiest animals to see on the safari! We started pulling up to the Lion area and what do you know, one of the Lionesses was walking around??

LionessWalking_zpscf17433a.jpg

We were like Wow! So fun to see that, that never happens! She was walking over toward the end section of the rocks, oh and look who is over there! Why Hello Mr. Lion! How are you today?

KingOfTheSavannah_zpsd2a52f3c.jpg

What you couldn't see from there, was that lying down right beside the male lion was another female lion...so when the other lioness started walking toward them, they got in sort of a verbal disagreement, and were rather loudly growling and snarling at each other!

GroupOfLions_zpsc6d75f01.jpg

So the lioness who walked over sort of won out on the altercation and the one who was already there just sort of gave up. She just went about her business.

LionsLovin_zps97cdfab9.jpg

At this point, everyone in the safari truck, was all like awww, how cute, they are so sweet!! :crowded: At this point in time, a song from a little movie called "The Lion King" comes to mind.

"I can see what's happening..."What"...And they don't have a clue..."Who?"...They'll fall in love and here's the bottom line...Our trio's down to two."

"The sweet caress of twilight...There's magic everywhere...And with all this romantic atmosphere...Disaster's in the air!!" So as most of you will clearly understand...this was about to get interesting for our poor Safari driver...

LionForeplay_zps4d7b5b19.jpg

No more photos!! How awkward would it have been if I just kept snapping away at the unfolding events??? Umm Nooooo! :scared: Our driver was literally stunned speechless, as was I think everyone else in the truck! That is definitely something we never expected to see on a safari!! hence the title of my trip report! Definitely not appropriate behavior for Disney Lions! Funnily enough, it was pretty much a truck full of adults, because I think most of us were going to Harambe Nights later. The people two rows back from us sat near us later on, we had a good laugh about all of this later on in the night.

Needless to say, there may be a new Simba coming to Animal Kingdom in the future...:faint:

I thought I commented on the bb update but maybe I didn't? I might be cray, but it looks like it was a fun time! I have yet to get to a waterpark at Disney, it's on the list for during the program, but I'm not big into waterparks so it was never really a priority lol!

Glad ya made it to AK in time, and WOW! Bahahahahaha that is a hilarious and funny story about the lions, oh my goodness, I guess there are things like that that happen that Disney can't control :rotfl2:

We always have a great time at the water parks! They are themed so well, it is a nice way to spend an afternoon for us! I hope you get to go during your program!! Even if you don't like water parks, compared to other water parks these are awesome!

Yeah, the Lion Incident of '14 was definitely something we are going to remember for a looooong time! We all felt so bad for the driver, because literally, she was so embarrassed and had no idea what to say to any of us afterwards, so the rest of the safari was pretty awkward!!

Cool you'll also be in WDW during our trip : ) So now I get your travel report title LOL one thing disney can't control is nature itself whether it's the weather or mating season in the wild ... Nature finds it's way! We haven't done the safari in many years since my kids went with us, and the grandkids maybe once with them and after that they always wanted to ride ride ride so looking forward to going on the sunrise safari this November.
Your outfits sound cute and I can't wait to see picture of you two at harambe nights ( sure I'm spelling it so wrong, oh well you get it )

Yes, nature is definitely something that they can't control, on that attraction most of all I guess! That's so awesome that you guys are going on the Sunrise Safari! It sounds like so much fun! You didn't spell Harambe wrong at all! That is exactly how you spell it! Are you planning on doing a trip report or just enjoying your time there?

Our safari truck had pulled up to the exit area, therefore ended the most interesting Kilimanjaro Safari we had ever been on...so far anyway!

We started walking through Harambe Village and started noticing the signage for the event tonight!

HarambeNightsEventBanner_zps99961dae.jpg

For some reason this trip, I started noticing a lot more things that were around me, signs I had never seen before, food I hadn't noticed, I definitely started paying a lot more attention to all the details around the parks!

HarambeVillageSign_zpsb247d48d.jpg

Our next Fastpass was for Expedition Everest, and since we had been so late to Kilimanjaro Safari, we were hoping to make it on time there! We still had about 10 minutes or so, which meant we had time to stop for a photo with the Tree of Life on the pathway from Africa to Asia!

TreeOfLife_zpsb069ecd5.jpeg

While we were standing there, a little bit of Magic popped up through the ground!! It was Stitch!!

ItsStitch_zps5943a3cf.jpeg

We said goodbye to Stitch and kept walking toward Asia and Expedition Everest! Before we made it over there, guess what, we saw another Photopass Photographer!! Lucky us!! More photos, yes please!!

TwoofUsAK_zps1adb5b0e.jpeg

UsEverest_zps96e777f9.jpeg

Even with those stops we still managed to make it to Expedition Everest on time for our Fastpass! The wait here was nothing like the one over at Kilimanjaro Safari! We basically just walked completely through the line!

EverestShrineYeti_zps2054f292.jpg

We hopped on the train and I took the time to take another little selfie. This is the first time I think I have ever really taken selfies, I think it comes from not usually having too many photos of myself on these trips, and this time I wanted to make sure that I had plenty!

AndreaSelfieExpeditionEverest_zps0b6ac9e5.jpg

Ok, I think this ride photo wins the prize for this trip! It is just so funny, I love it! All of us on this one definitely knew where the camera was!

ExpeditionEverest_zpsc9483f28.jpeg

With Everest checked off of our list, we were headed to our last Fastpass before Harambe Nights officially kicked off! We also managed to make it just in time to that one!

FindingNemoTheMusical_zps715928ef.jpg

We got inside and found our seats just before they started letting everyone else in! Whew! I am happy that we made all of these fastpasses before the 7:00 start time of Harambe Nights!

Love your Disneybounds.
Your couples photos are cute with the amaze backdrop.
Score, priceless ride photo of EE. Love the expressions.

Love your disney pictures and so nice you really were able to get so many photo pass pictures taken this trip : ) you both look adorbs! But oh my goodness that EE ride picture is priceless lol
A great idea to take more selfies on your trip so you can be in the fun more and we can see you! We took so many on our California trip a few weeks back but mostly because the grandkids are always doing them and their quick at it ... Hey Meema take a selfie with us on front of splash mountain, click click and moving on lol
