Hey Vera Bradley Hipster fans - to mini or not?

I have not had any problems with Ebags... but I have only ordered one VB bag from them which was the Daisy Daisy hipster - and it was the discontinued style. I don't have any other items in this pattern to compare it to. Hopefully someone else can help.

I have bought lots of accessories from Ebags in the VB line and never had a problem. They came new and with tags. The only problem I have every had with VB is that one of my straps broke on my Backsack--I really liked it to. I might sew it back on but I think it actually ripped the fabric. I purchased it for a few bucks at the Outlet sale so I think I will use it as a shoe bag or something. Love the new Bali Patterns.....still wishing for a hidden Mickey design one day

I have had mini for our WDW trips the last 3 trips. Will take the small backpack in October and try it.

Everything in these patterns are 25 percent off in the retail stores, along with some styles that are on sale in EVERY pattern (a few totes, a velcro'd wallet, and a bunch more I forgot.)

Oh, and someone asked to see the taxi wallet in action:

I just want you all to know that the spouse is looking at me like I'm a NUT JOB for taking pics of a wallet. LOL.

Not on the website yet. The sales girl said that they will be available in the stores, on sale, til like the beginning of July, when they will ship everything back to the warehouse and then those patterns will only be available online. So I'm guessing the sales on the website will start then? I NEVER happen upon the online sales at the right time, so I'm gonna make a trip to the store every few weeks until the spouse cuts me off!

Just bought a Mini Hipster at a local store for 25% off.

I looked at the Hipster (like the larger straps) but was too big. Last two trips to WDW never carried a bag to the parks.

This time wanted a small bag for tissues, lip balm, Rx sunglasses, hand sanitizer and ID (the mini has a clear ID holder in the front flap for the KTTW card.)

I saw a lot of soaking wet Vera bags all last week at the parks during the tropical depression.

Vera fabric may not be the best to take to Disney during the extreme weather like they had. Even our lightweight nylon bag that usually sheds water was starting to wick it up. So had to put that inside a Dis shopping bag every single day.

My absolute favorite is the Libby style. I love the ease of finding things (my stuff kind of gets lost in the bottom of the hipster, and I don't like that flap on the mini- hipster), the thin strap and being able to wear it cross-body.

I read a listing on eBay that said this style is about to be discontinued. Does anyone know if that's true? Or was it just eBay hyperbole?

I am also a big VB fan! What makes it worse is that I work in a retail store that sells VB!! Talk about a girl with too many bags!! My DH just rolls his eyes everytime I come home with a new bag!

I have an American Red backpack and I had trouble with it "bleeding" off when it got wet. I recently decided to spray it with Camp Dry water repellant. I haven't had a chance to put it to the test yet. I hope it works.

Thanks for the update on the retiring colors and styles... I sure love the tic-tac totes, I have yet to buy one though. I'll have to check out Libby and Hanah - I can't remember those off of the top of my head.

The 3 year old is... partially potty trained at best. He doesn't wear diapers, but we're having issues with going #2.

I am not sure about the mini, I don't personally own one. My thought though is that it is similar to a glorified wallet... so if you think "large wallet" that is about the ammount of space you will have in there - I"m not so sure that there would be room for even a diaper if needed.

Hopefully someone who actually owns one can reply - as I have only seen them in the stores.

I doubt the mini will be big enough. It doesn't really hold that much comfortably. Cell phone, gum, Zip ID Case with credit cards and ID, chapstick, and maybe a small brush is all I really like to squeeze in there. I can put the camera in for small periods of time, but it makes it heavy and the strap is really thin so it cuts into my shoulder.

It really just depends on what you want to take.
