Hey Vera Bradley Hipster fans - to mini or not?

I just took a look and it looks like ALL the colors in the backsack are $22 each!

The new Fall patterns are out...not sure if you can buy them yet. I also saw a preview of the Winter collection. Here are some links...

Hopefully the links will post and work. The 2nd link has both fall and winter patterns. There are also some new style bags. I believe the new fall bags and patterns are on the Vera website, also!

Has anyone tried the Travel Belt Bag? I know it's kinda like a fanny pack but I want something that I don't have to think about carrying.

I just looked at the travel belt bag this weekend, and it's like a small wallet on a strap. It looked like it wanted to be an under-the-clothes money belt, but since it's Vera it's quilted and bulkier. Seemed small to me.

I wish I had a store near me. I only want it for money, CC and cell phone. I may order it then. Sounds like what I am looking for.

I love my back sack but yes, it does have fine straps. May not be all that comfortable if loaded up. I love my Hipsters ... they are really comfortable to carry. Although we carry a back pack with supplies for my son I don't think I could fit my stuff in a Mini.

I'm going to buy my first Vera Bradley piece (a hipster) for my upcoming Disney trip! I was wondering if anyone knew of any codes that I could use at verabradley.com? TIA! :goodvibes

Don't have any codes for the VB website but you may also want to check out www.ebags.com. They have 2 patterns listed for $29.74 and a few others for $35.70 right now ... pretty good prices if you ask me.

Well the mini-hipster is a bit small, even if you have an average sized digital camera. The mini-hipster might be good for a little girl who wanted to carry around her own autograph book, etc. I was debating bringing my vera backpack, which will hold quite a bit more.

I used the code below on ebags.com yesterday and got a mini for $32.46 with tax included, free shipping:

CATAPLPH8

Thanks for your help! I just ordered a hipster off ebags for $42 using the free shipping code. It was cheaper on the Vera Bradley website, but with the free shipping at ebags, I think I got the better deal.... now I just gotta wait until I can use it in August!!!!! :yay:

EDITED TO ADD::: I just received confirmation from ebags that I was credited with the 110% price match for the Vera Bradley price! So my total price was $34.30! WooHoo! :woohoo:

I'm planning on using my old style Hipster at Disney but I'm kinda intrigued with the new saddle Up bag. has anyone used it for the parks? Would it be too big?

Loriann....

I am not sure about the Saddle Up bag. I have not seen it in person yet. :( It looks like it would be strange to side carry, so I'd be one that would have to try it on first.

I just ordered the STTT, Lanyard, and ZID in JB yesterday... I keep buying JB because it's my favorite and I really want the large duffel - but I keep placing small orders because I don't want to splurge yet. I just need to splurge and get it over with. LOL

Completely random, but I found this thread through the Vera Bradley facebook page. Pretty funny how there are so many DISers on there!

I got the mailbag in Purple Punch for our trip in August but I am thinking of going back to the hipster. Don't get me wrong, I love the mailbag for everyday use but I am thinking it's going to be kind of annoying with the flap when I want to get my camera out (I take tons of pictures!). But we'll see.

Funny how it can be a small world - even on the internet. Now if all of you were on AGFMB (American Girl fans message board) - then it truly would be a small world. :rotfl:

Anyways... about the mail bag - is it true that when you load up the front flap - even slightly - it weighs down the whole bag and makes it look funny? Just wondering. I heard that, and that's the only reason why I haven't purchased that bad - that and I don't like flaps - but I *could* get over that if I liked the bag well enough. So, what are your thoughts on this?

I LOVE my mail bag, but I'm still trying to decide whether I'll use it in the parks. You really can't put much in the outside pocket - like your kttw cards and money. If it gets too overloaded it does kind of bow outwards. I think I'll have to load it up and try it before we go. It is really cute, and I love the pattern I got (BR).

Thanks alot for getting me addicted.

I went to a local store and bought the mini hipster in Mod Blue for 40% off. Then went back for a small change purse and eye glass case to match.

Have put the mini through a few weekend shopping trips and love it.

Order the weekender and a toiletry bag with free shipping.:rotfl::rotfl:

FYI: verabradley.com is having a one day 'Summer Stimulus' sale on the mini hipsters...all retiring patterns are just $18 today!
