Care Bears! Those cuddly teddy bears with emotions are back for the millenium generation. I saw a commercial for them last night.

Hmmm, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, and Care Bears. What's next? Rainbow Brite and Strawberry Shortcake?

Hey I saw some at Target last weekend. Had to look twice I was so suprised to see them. Grumpy Bear was always my favorite but he wasnt there. They had Bedtime Bear and 1 other one, sorry forgot which one it was.

Where will Care Bears be? Is this a re-make like He-man? I used to *LOVE* Care Bears. I still think the movies (#1 especially) are some of the best cartoon movies I've seen. Such sweet sentiment. I love the opening song for the Care Bear Movie (the song about Care-a-lot)

Raj, it was a commercial showing all the bears for sale.

I would guess you can find them in the usual toy stores (Toys R Us or Target).

80s cartoons are hot property right now! And I'm loving it! (do a webpage search for 80s toons and you'll find tons of stuff.) Strawberry Shortcake *is* coming back! I've seen new rag dolls and other memorbillia- plus new animated videos next year! Check out strawberrybonkers.com and strawberrycentral.com for more info! There's even a video clip from the opening of the new cartoon. I've even heard rumors that My Little Pony will return to toy stores yet again (they came back in 97 as well) and this time they'll actually look more like the originals! I'm totally hooked on all that stuff right now! I've decorated my dorm room with pictures of Strawberry Shortcake, Rainbow Brite, Popples, Care Bears, and My Little Ponies! I've even brought several of the actual toys from home. I want nostalgia stuff for my birthday this year!

There are 2 versions of Care Bears out right now- newer, brighter versions that come with videos are at Target and Walmart, specialty stores like Spencers and Carlton Cards have the retro style that look like the originals. You can see them at playalongtoys.com.

I've decorated my dorm room with pictures of Strawberry Shortcake, Rainbow Brite, Popples, Care Bears, and My Little Ponies! I've even brought several of the actual toys from home.

No offense meant to you angiebelle, but doesn't this bother your roommate? I think I'd go nuts if my college roommate decorated the room in all that kid stuff.

I LOVE the Care Bears. Growing up Care Bear was my nickname lol. And they definitely are back - I already have a lot of Care Bears stuff that I have bought in the last few months - t-shirt, hooded sweatshirt, robe, notebooks, pens, folder, stuffed animals, key chain, etc. I keep looking for new stuff - I can't get enough of it.

ohmigosh!!! my sister used to LOVE jem...she had all of the dolls and the roadster and the tapes and whatever else you could find that had jem on it...one of these years, i want to find all of the episodes on video/dvd and get them for her for christmas!!

LOL, scarlett873! I have 2 older sisters and we were SOOO into Jem and friends, we'd tape the songs from the shows and sing them over and over. We never had any Jem dolls, but we used our barbies and named the Ken doll Rio! LOL! That show brings back a lot of memories, I did actually buy a set of three videos off of ebay that has all the Jem episodes, in the correct order. I gave them to my sister for Christmas last year. It cost me a pretty penny, but the expression on her face was priceless. She has 2 little girls of her own, and I'm sure they are going to grow up with Jem and friends!

BTW, I remember the Snorks, and the Smurfs are sometimes played on Cartoon Network. NEone remember Munchee~Chee's, or pogo balls?

I just found my first Christmas list, and it had Mon-Chi Chi on it. I cannot remember for anything what they were though!!
