Maybe DVC is listening. There are 11 new dining discounts, 15% off the new Epcot Segway tour and VIP seating for the Flower Power Concerts (with room key & member card) listed on the Member Site. Haven't read the details myself but thought others might be interested.

Now there a thought for saving costs, what if Disney would only give members discounts if they had their blue members cards. Wouldn't that be a huge savings, that way members who give out their points or rent them wouldn't be giving away discounts which in reality just becomes more of a cost. Even if I give my family member my points to use, why should they be entitiled to the discounts also? I never understood why they would let non-members get the same perks as members, even when I rented, my cards said members. But I fellt funny utilizing it.

i just read and printed them out for our trip..........
looking forward to the dining discounts, do you think easter is a major holiday, we have ps at cape mays on easter:confused:

Well, I don't think Easter is a major holiday but milions of practicing Christians probably do. :cool2:

Easter is a 'busy' time at WDW...as is any time kids are out of school.

Thanks for the heads up Pam...the official site was so useless i've stopped bothering over the winter. Now if I can only remember my username and passwd.

OK, so Spoodles and Kona I might actually use.

Easter is a "major holiday" per Disney. Last year we went to WDW for Easter. When I was making my PS they asked for a credit card number for every PS I made on Easter day. The CM explained that they do this for all major holidays. When we went back for Xmas this year, it was the same thing. Credit Card numbers for everything on Christmas and oddly, HOB in Downtown Disney required one for Xmas Eve. (The rest of Disney didn't).
When I made reservation for Father's day, they didn't ask for a credit card number. So I'm assuming Father's day is not a major holiday.

What's the chance that this is directly related to Mr. Jim Lewis' taking over and listening to the membership...?:scratchin

Thanks Pam but I still don't see that discount on annual passes for DVC members that could be on the list. When something like that shows up, I'll believe they are listening.

I recently filled out the survey at the site, which asked what you want to see more of at the member site. I decided to take the opportunity to tell them more of what I wanted to see in DVC. You could be as specific as you wanted. I said they should add more member discounts at the site to give a little variety once in a while! (I know--it's just a coincidence)

It appears they aren't the only ones with a listening problem!!--the subject has been addressed repeatedly........:smooth:

Ditto on the discount passes. Meaningful discounts have a cost associated and I just do not see it happening.

We're using the discount on the Segway tour in May and I was excited to see about the VIP Seating for the Flower Power concerts.

Wow. A lot of our fav's. For our May/June trip, looks like we'll be able to squeeze in:

Chefs de France for lunch
Artist Point.... AAaauuuughhh, salmon.
Hoop dee doo.... a never miss night of fun.
Planet Hollywood
Spoodles for breakfast
Fantasia Gardens.... annual family tournament. DW will be defending champ.
