Blackout dates on hoppers

I'm posting this here as I think it might get lost in my other thread which started on a different topic....

I purchased Canadian resident tickets, and in the app, and at the bottom of my tickets it has a blackout calendar. It shows the days before May 16 blocked out (fair enough, as the tickets are valid between May 16 - December 31, 2025), but also shows blockout dates from December 19th onwards! No mention in the fine print about this, nor on the ticket email confirmation I received, nor even if you go on the website now as you can still buy these. I called them and they're confused. They put me on old for a long time and came back to say they couldn't see any blackouts and that maybe it meant there is no availability that day, and that I should keep checking back. But that makes no sense as there';s no availability for anything past late October as reservation dates aren't even up for then yet, but those dates are green on the blockout calendar. It makes me pretty nervous as we always go at Christmas - anyone seen anything like that before? Not too keen on waiting 2 months to find out that our tickets can't be used then... :headache:

I am not familiar with blockout dates on multiday tickets, that's not common practice with standard US tickets. There are blockouts on special ticket offers such as the US 70th offer that's only valid on certain dates. Standard multiday tickets do not come with blockouts though. This might be a unique feature of the package or ticket type you booked.

Yes, this has not been my experience either. But if it is, it definitely needs to say that in the ticket restrictions and it says nothing about blockout dates, and says the tickets are valid through December 31st. I'm alarmed that when I phone, they also say there are no blockout dates, yet it is clearly marked that way on the ticket in the app.

Multi-day tickets are good for 12 days after first use. I’m guessing that Dec 19 is the last day you can activate them and use for your first day since 12 days from that date gets you to Dec 31st.

That said, tickets hold their value so if you need to extend the dates you will still get credit towards new tickets. I have done this and was just charged the difference if the price was higher for my new dates. You can do all of this on the Disneyland site.

OK, now I am worried. There is no mention of blackout dates on the fine print for these tickets, but the first day in the blackout calendar (and the 19th is not crossed out when you go and check using a regular ticket):

I just called. The CM was confused, and again went away for a bit and came back to say it didn't appear that these had any restrictions, and I should just wait a couple of days to see if the 19th opened up. Also said that if they don't I can call back and exchange for regular tickets! I said I would ask to have them refunded if that were the case, as nowhere on these tickets did it indicate there were blackout dates, and in fact says they are good until December 31st, which would be very misleading. He said they wouldn't make any exception for that as these are non-refundable tickets!

I have purchased Canadian resident tickets with similar promos before and have never had anything like this happen.
