HI ALL!
I already bought my TIXS for April out of BOSTON last Sunday and was looking for my Friend, and found that Song is Flashing Cheap Flights randomly at all times of the day. Example this morning I surfed to Song and saw that my flight was not online, at $79 each way, but at $299 each way , tonite I rechecked and there were three flights varing in price from $79, $114, and $134 depending on the times going south only.
On the return the flights they didnot show my return flight but had one at $79 at another time , BUT changing the departure to a day or so earlier the price dropped from $299 one way to $79! :cool1:
So give a look see if your interested in the April 2006 School Vacation time instead of waiting for SWA to release flights.
Also suggest to keep an eye on Jet BLue who tries to undercut Song. :scratchin

I'm flying from the NY/NJ area and I've been checking for April 2006 for a while now and nothing has happened.

Thanks to your post, I checked Song and I've just booked 4 seats out of LGA leaving 4/8 and returning 4/14 for a total of $165.40/pp. I think that's just awesome ($74/each way + tax). Was going to wait for SW but then I'd have to travel to Philly or Islip and I'm not sure the fares would be significantly better to warrant the longer travel.

Now all I need to do is book the vacation itself. Will have to contact a couple of agents and see what I can do. I'm going to have APs for our whole family (we're DVC owners so we get the discount) but I'm wondering if it's worth it to buy 1 day park passes for everyone, get the dining plan, and use the passes as a credit against our AP renewals for next year.

So many decisions! But I've got the air covered! YAY!

HI ALL!
11am thurs, Song lowered the $79 flight to $74 and opened more flights at the lower and moderate fares. Suggest you check the number of seats available on each flight , usually below 48 empty seats the fare increases.
Jet Blue is not responding as of this post, so eyeball them for a return fare.
So mix and match the two Airlines ,they both issue One Way fares.
Good luck! :sunny:

I've been checking for May 2006 flying out of Hartford, and the prices are going up. Right now they are $230 roundtrip, and normally you can get them for $150-160. I'm gonna wait and hopefullly the prices will come down.

A couple weeks back I got round trip tickets out of Boston to Orlando on Song for $175.40....BUT..I had to go from tuesday the 17th (?) to the next tuesday. It was worth it to us since prices all around those dates were over $600/round trip!

HI ALLl
IMHO: I think Delta/Song is aware of us DISers and others who SURF looking for DEALS! Thus DING from SWA may have prompted Delta to feel the impact of randomly posting unbelievable fares. Since there is no DING at Delta or Jet BLue. Jet Blue IMHO has not got the drift and will loose us Disers. My post was for active surfers. I do understsnd that alot of Disers don't have time to SURF so thus the post.
The Fare war IMHO is just about to start even though the Majors just announced a $20 fuel charge to Tixs?
If you like action on dealing this FUN! :rotfl2:
Good Luck! :disrocks:

I also found some terrific fares for February break '06 on Song from BDL. $500 one day, $300 the next. Unfortunately, my DH perfers PVD. :confused3 I've turned into a compulisive fare watcher.

When you are looking at flight options for Song, are you using the Delta website? Or is there another website?

I am looking for tickets from Boston to MCO from April 20-24th, and can only find $225 as the lowest for one person round trip.

I know I can do better! Do I wait for SW to come out with their rates??? When will they come out with April rates? :confused3

I've been watching Song's rates for months for my December trip and I just wasn't ready to commit to their $79 each way fare. I was able to get $49 in February out of Hartford. I checked this morning and they were offereing $59 each way out of Boston for the dates I needed so I jumped on it. I hate Logan, but I'm also on a tight budget. I was starting to panic about rates though, they seemed to keep going up. I'm relieved now that I finally have a flight booked! Oh, and somebody asked about the website. I go to flysong.com.

Thanks for the info Rachie....DH and I also don't like Logan. We try to fly out of Manchester whenever possible!

You can check Song only filights at www.flysong.com
I just booked our tickets for April vacation, 250 pp round trip. Jet blue wants more than that for a one way ticket. It's possible that there could be cheaper fares, but I also have $500 in reward points on the credit card I used, so my out of pocket cost was 500 for 4 round trip tickets :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Now I just have to get through next winter.

HI ALL!
I have for 7 years have tried to get to WDW in April during NorthEast School Vacation and never was able to get cheap airfare because I waited till the end of August and by that time all the cheap Tixs were sold out on Delta.
A good fair for that week was for more than $250 per Tix Round Trip!
I even used United from MHT to ORD to West Palm and then drove to WDW, this included taking the Kids out of School one day early.
With SWA and Jet BLue in the Game now it seems that Delta/Song realizes that they have to get one step ahead. Easter Week is the toughest TIX PRICING. I suggest to surf everyday Song morning, noon, and 10pm est.
Also if you are on the fence whether to buy a one way Tix, Song now has a one day cancel policy , 24 hrs to think it over or find a better fare.
Once SWA goes beyond Dec 2005 the fares could get interesting but SWA goes FFFFAAAAASSSSTTTT!!!!!
Jet Blue had not matched Song as of this post.
So as suggested by fellow Disers, go down on Song return via Jet BLue.
Logan is finishing their Parking Lot construction and getting from either Airline is good.
A Heads UP: Logan now uses a Kios parking tix system where you pay for your parking in the terminal BEFORE you get to you car, there is a 1/2 hour grace period from the time you make payment until the EXIT. WE like the "just drive home " premise where you don't have to stop at a toll and wait to leave the lot.
Hope you get the fare you need and want! :cloud9:

I'm getting worried because I've been told it is expensive to park at Logan, compared to Manchester or Hartford. But I've already booked my flight so I have no choice now. Do you know how much it is to park onsite per day?

I too have been checking fares for April spring break out of NYC on Song. Is anyone concerned that Delta may file for bankruptcy before October as i have heard? If so, what happens if you have tickets for a future flight, as in April?

I am also looking at Bos/Mco on Song .....not for Easter but during Spring break time. It seems as though Song has a lot of flights to and from Mco. Anyone have any fear that Song is going to sell all these seats at the great prices and then cancel some of the flights? It seems that in a couple of other airports Song has really cut back or pulled out altogether. And JetBlue cancelled that early am flight, making their first flight out at 10am. Am I being paranoid? Any thoughts about this....want to buy tickets within the next month or so..... ::MinnieMo

There are some 59.00 flights over at Song right now. I was looking at November, BOS to MCO. Go check it out, you never know.

Well, we are flying during April vacation weeks (from Boston to MCO), and I have been tracking the prices online. I, too, was worried about the seats selling out, so I booked my flight (April 20 leaving, April 24 returning) for $225 roundtrip. :)

Then....I checked last night....and the same flight was $160!! :earseek: Ahhh! O well....what can you do, right?

and ended up booking LGA/MCO for 4/8-4/14 at $165/rt pp last week. If Delta files, I think that things will continue, as many airlines have done this and worked through the bankruptcy. There might be schedule changes and consolidations, but this also happens all the time. I booked Song out of LGA for our November trip (NJ Teachers' Convention week) back in March and found out a couple of weeks ago that our flights both down and back had been eliminated and pushed to the earliest flights out/back. Not acceptable so I switched to JFK for a slightly earlier outbound but a later return so I'm actually better off. And I don't care one way or the other which airport (found parking at JFK very easy when we travelled in June).

I check the website regularly and if something changes, I contact them and reconfirm. I just don't see the entire airline (both Delta and Song) disappearing at this point. But I do anticipate schedule changes.
