Hey, Moms out there!

I did something stupid! I bought disposable cameras and a few other on-the-road surprises for my kids a while back. Well, I didn't want the kids to see what I had bought so I HID the bag....from myself apparently!!! I have no idea where I put it ! I thought the bag was in my closet but, I can't find it! Maybe dh moved it? So, where do you hide your kids surprises?? Maybe, your hiding spot will jog my memory??? I can't believe I did this! *scratching chin*&*shaking head*.

I use my cedar closet to hide things cause it locks...

I've hidden things in the suitcases. I figure I won't accidentally forget something I bought months in advance if I find it when I get ready to pack for the trip. Good Luck!

Something like that I would have put in a suitcase. However, around Easter one year I stumbled across Christmas gifts I had hidden on the top shelf in the bathroom closet I'm sure they will turn up.

Honestly, I hide things in THEIR rooms (closets, dresser drawers, etc). They NEVER look there.

Also, laundry room, kitchen cabinets (the ones that no one ever goes into) and med, cabinets,

How about under your bed, another place in the closet (if you have) on the top shelf above where you hang your clothes, Hall Closet, or in your closet tucked behind where you may hang dresses or bathrobes....

Some of my favorite hiding places.....suitcases, garment bag, inside a big ginger jar, laundry hamper, in purses and totebags, in the storage bins where our out-of-season clothes are kept, china cabinet, shoe boxes and filing cabinets. I've checked all of these at least 20 times, so when you find your stuff please post where you found it so hopefully I can find a couple of my seldom used credit cards. I wanted to put them somewhere hidden but easily accessible.

Try your dresser drawers. I like to hide things there. (And I know they are there because I look in there everyday!)

I usually hide things in the linen closet behind the clean sheets ~ I have yet to see someone besides me change a bed in this house so that's a safe bet for me
But, I have been known to lose things when I try to come up with a "better" hiding place and I know it's extremely frustrating ~ good luck!!

I'm 20 and I had the hardest time trying to remember where I put my SS card! It took me a whole day to find it because I didn't keep it in my wallet.

In shoeboxes in my closet, under folded sweaters in my closet, in my car trunk, in my glove compartment, in the box that holds my scrapbooking supplies, pockets of jackets in my closet, my dresser drawers, in purses, in empty tampon boxes in the bathroom cabinet (no one in my house is gonna look there!), in my hurricane supplies container.

Do you know how many times I have DONE that! I did it with DD's school supplies one year at the end of the previous one - here let's put this away and we can use it next year since it's in perfectly good shape - fast forward to close to next year - WHERE *IS* that thing?

My hiding places probably aren't "normal" ones so who knows if your house is set-up this way. I have a master bathroom from our bedroom. I hide things in the cabinets in there. The other place I hide them is we have a finished basement and the bedroom in there has a big closet plus storage space under the stairs. Those are a couple other places. My "headboard" has 2 drawers on each side, I use those too, since they are basically big empty drawers 99% of the time. LOL!

I know how you feel! I have been known to find Christmas presents I hid the next June because I thought I found some great new hiding spaces and then I don't remember at Christmas where I put them! (And the really sad thing is, we live in a 1100 sf house, there are not that many places to put something!)

Well, that's what I thought once too - lol!! I put my everyday placemats and flower arrangements up when we decorated for Christmas. I even remember thinking what a good place I had found to "put" them. However, after Christmas that year they were no where to be found. That was about 8 years ago and I've still NEVER found those darn placemats!!
