Hey, Moms out there!

Golly, Y'all!!! I am still not having any luck. This is funny but, it's irritating at the same time!:crazy2: :headache:

for our last Disney trip I made custom shirts for my kids - packed all up and put them somewhere logical - THE NIGHT BEFORE I LEFT - I never did find those stupid t-shirts before we left - my mom found them several months later after we came home - and I am not even sure where!!!

Just say 'I don't want to find them any more'. Leave it a couple of days and you will come across them.

Works sometimes for me. :teeth: :teeth:

Last thing I was looking for was the keys to the safe. Searched high and low SEVERAL times, gave up and low and behold it a couple of days later my hubbie found them. He being the one that cannot find anything in a cupboard unless it jumps out and says 'here I am'. :rotfl: :rotfl: Needless to say he was really pleased with himself for finding them.

Check the empty shoe boxes in your closet. That's where I hide all kinds of things.

Seriously did you buy anything else with these items? One time I found my keys in the back of the pantry where I had put the bag of potatoes!!!

I've been looking for my camera for the last few days, so I know how you feel. I thought I put it with all the travel stuff I was getting together for our upcoming trip, but it wasn't there.

After much frustration, I found it this morning. It was in a bag of totally unrelated stuff in a corner. I have no idea how it got there.

Just think if the most illogical place for it to be and maybe you'll find it.

I do that all the time and every time while I'm hiding the thing I think, "I can't possibly forget where I put this." And then I do. Do you have a basement? Sometimes I put things under my summer clothes, in the pantry, in DH's stuff, behind dressers. I like the hiding things in the suitcase idea.

I leave things in the trunk of my car if I don't want anyone to see them.

Please let us know where you hid every thing.

If it makes you feel any better, when we were gone for 2 weeks to WDW, my DH hid the extra car keys, and we never did find them. Had to go get extra made. He has hid things in the pockets of his suit coats that he never wears anymore.

How about looking on top of whatever the highest surface in your home is-- On top of a bookcase, armoire, china cabinet... :confused3
Do you have any kind of out-building like a storage bldg. or garage?
Or, did you maybe take it over to a friend or relative's house for safe keeping?
What about your office? I often leave things there until I'm ready surprise DS.

OR decide you need to find something else that you can't find and go looking for that instead....then you'll find the cameras and such. Unfortunately, you won't find the NEW thing you are looking for though.

i'm a back of the closet girl... how 'bout in the car, i've been known to leave stuff there too... or maybe under the bed? behind the dresser? in a shoebox? in yours or dh's dresser (another of my fave places! LOL!)? maybe got packed away w/the winter gloves/hats? or did you accidentally use them already and forgot?

GOOD LUCK!

My house is too small to hide things and not be able to find them, but my mom and sister do this all the time. My sister bought me a bunch of things for my baby shower back in December, and she still can't find them. I'm sure they'll turn up one day.
Did you check all of your closets, basement, storeage places?

This is just a little update for anyone who is curious. When dh got home from work, I told him that I thought I put the cameras in our walk-in closet. I asked him whether he had seen them and he says he didn't remember...but, maybe he threw the bag away; he doesn't know for sure!:earseek: What!!! OMG! He said just go buy new ones. I'm hoping I'll find them somewhere still. My dh is the king of getting rid of "junk" (ie. toys). Well, our house is not cluttered; neither of us can stand clutter but, I would think he would have looked in the bag before he would toss it.

ditto

I have 2 hiding places: the trunk of my car and my hopechest where I store blankets, etc. if it's not there, either I or hubbie accidentally tossed the bag!

Good luck sleepyone! This thread cracks me up. I guess the saying is true: you lose half your brain with each childbirth. :scratchin I hide things all the time and spend hours looking for them. Same holds true with passwords. I'll have a passowrd like "Mickey Mouse" and wont be able to remember it!

I've done something like that...LOL...did I type Mickeymouse, MickeyMouse,mickeymouse,etc...

I have a little plastic dresser inside my closet where I store all my hair stuff and lotions- one drawer for kids things! At Christmas, most of the toys stay in the trunk of my car. ;)

If you don't find it, just go to the dollar store for a few things. :teeth:

well, I've always found the easiest way to find lost things, is to go out and replace them. If I were you, I would go buy new stuff, and keep the reciepts. If your husband didn't throw the originals out, they should show up in a day or 2.
