Hey Mom, Do I get to be the line leader again? A PTR…(My TR has started! - 6/1)

I can totally relate to what you and your family are going through right now. She was as much a part of your family as anyone else. I still think about, and miss my Jasmine from time to time. You have our complete sympathy, and take comfort in the fact that she is no longer struggling and there is no more pain for her. She was a fantastic puppy, and we will miss her! I informed Alisa this morning, she was also very saddened by the news. I hope that all of you can get over this with as little sadness as possible.

I know you undestand. Bryan has a lways said that he considered Lily to be his firstborn. She sounded really bad this last week, and Bryan and I keep saying that it's better for her now. Thanks Randy!

Megan, Sorry to hear about your furry baby passing away. Our Golden Retriever named Honey passed away last summer. She was only 6, she developed a tumor in her heart and was having similar issues coughing, trouble breathing, along w/ fluid around her lungs and heart. There was nothing they could do for her and she was in a lot of pain so we put her to sleep. I was heart breaking for us. We still do not have another dog and miss her so much at times. My thoughts and prayers and with your family. :littleangel:

Thanks for your sympathy. Sh had a lot fluid surrounding her heart. It kept pushing up against her lungs, so she had a very tough time breathing.

Megan, I'm so sorry for the loss of your little furry Lily. I know how much my Millie pug means to our own family, so I can imagine your family's hurt right now.

I have a rule that no one cries alone, so I'm crying for you. Hugs to all of you.

Thanks for not letting me be alone Michelle!

awwwww:sad2: very sorry for your loss, i know it will take some time, but think of her in a better place now, it was very difficult when we had to put our dog down few yrs back, but now we know she isnt suffering anymore

Thanks! It does make things easier on us knowing that she is not suffering anymore.

My condolences to the family on the loss of Lily. :sad1:
My childhood dog was named Lily too!
We just had to put my 17 year old cat to sleep a couple of weeks ago. It's hard losing a furry family member.
Hope everyone is ok. I'm sure she had a good life with you guys. :flower3:

We're okay. Thanks for your thoughts Abby.

Megan, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Lily. Our 14 year old cat had to be put to sleep in October b/c she had a huge stomach tumor. Even though she was very sick, it didn't make it any easier.

Thanks! We expected it to happen sooner or later, but it didn't make it hurt any less.

On a brighter note.. we only have 6 more Thursdays until we leave for Disney!!!!

I hope you and the family are recovering well....

Looking forward to running with you (not really, but I'll give it a shot) on May 1st!!!

We are all doing fine right now. The boys ask about Lily every once in a while.

The boys have been pulling links from their countdown chain all week. We will be leaving for WDW 6 weeks from today.

See you tomorrow night!

Hi Megan!

I came over from Leanne's TR...

This quote made me a little sad...I had to cancel my May trip (would have been down there at the same time as you all!)...and seeing it in that perspective makes me miss it!

Also, I am so sorry about your sweet puppy. My two lab mixes will both be 9 years old this year...and they are larger than most labs (combos of great dane I think and German Shephard)...I know that is getting old for them. I will never be easy.

I haven't had a chance to read your entire report, (I will when I have a little more free time)...but where in South LA are you? I am originally from the NO area (westbank...Avondale...my mom still lves there, have a brother in DesAllmands, a sister in Lafitte, and two sisters in Marrero, and dad is in Westwego...also various cousins and aunts and uncles in the Houma area (mom is from there).

Yum...crawfish! I miss my fresh seafood! It was so funny to me to go to the grocery store for the first time here in TN and look at the shrimp, it freaked me out a little bit to see them with no heads and a lot of them were pink...that was just so wrong in my book!:rotfl:

I am looking forward to going back and reading the whole thing.

Lynn

Hi Lynn! Thanks for jumping on. I'm sorry to hear about having to cancel your trip. That would just break my heart. Hopefully you get to get back to the WOrld sometime soon.

We are from Houma. Small World huh!

Yeah...they shouldn't be pink YET! I would definitely miss the seafood if we ever moved away from here.

I'm so sorry about your dog. I know how hard it is to lose a pet. She looks like such a sweet dog in the photo. Hopefully you will feel better soon.

Thanks! SHw as so sweet. SHe was a cuddler. I remember being pregnant for Sam, she would stay next to me in bed to kind of watch over me since I was on bedrest with him for almost 10 weeks. SHe never left my side the entire time. She would cuddle up next to me when I slept. She was very attuned to what was going on with Sam.

So, we are going to move on to happier things. I don't want to be so down in the dumps on here.

We have a big weekend planned for now. First, a while back, Bryan made a deal with Sam that every week he was on green light at school for the whole week he would get to go to McDonald's as a reward. Well, he was on green again every day this week, so we are likely having McDOnald's for supper tonight.

Tomorrow morning, I am going to New Orleans with Bryan's sisters to go shopping. I think I might have to visit the DIsney Store just because I can. :goodvibes Hopefully, we'll stop for soup and sandwiches at Le Madeline for lunch.

Tomorrow evening, we get to go back to New Orleans again. Bryan's birthday is on Sunday, and he wants to eat at Zea's :cloud9: with his friends and family. Also, we have plans to watch the movie Date Night after dinner.

Sunday is Bryan's actual birthday. What dooes he want to do? Stay in the recliner all day and watch the final round of the Masters. Not my cup of tea, but whatever...it's his birthday. I'm sure the boys will also ask to bring him out to eat, so we'll see how that goes.

We are officially at 6 weeks till departure. I just got an exciting thought! Since we are beginning our drive to WDW on this day, I will be in FL at this time 6 weeks from now. :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes We still need to book our hotel in Lake City. I found a great deal at the COuntry Inn off I-75 that seems to get some great reviews from Trip Advisor. The room had always priced at $92 for the night. I checked again the other night. The price for the night of May 21st dropped to $66. We need to book very soon. The rate is good until May 1st.

Sounds like you have a fun weekend planned. We took DD to see How to Drain a Dragon last weekend and she now wants to get all of the dragons that come with the happy meals. So it looks like it will be McDonalds for lunch tomorrow for us too.

Have a great weekend. I am so jealous you get to go to a Disney store. They closed all of them around us about 2-3 years ago. The closest one now is about an hour and a half away.

The boys are looking forward to getting the dragon toys tomorrow. I know, tomorrow? Bryan came home and asked the boys if we could do something else for dinner, and he would bring them to McDonald's for lunch tomorrow. We went to Hooter's instead.

I rarely get to the Disney Store. I don't get to NO enough to get to go.
