Megan, I know what you mean about the candy. Between my mom, Mike's mom, Mike's dad and us the kids get way too much candy. They'll never eat all of it.

Yay Cooper! I hope he grows more! I need to measure Lauren again to see what she's measuring at.

What's funny is that everyone says they want to give the kids just a little something for Easter. That little something ends up being candy. We both come from large familie, so it ends up being more than what we can deal with.

I hope she gets tall enough too. Cooper is getting all excited about it now. However, I keep telling him he won't get to ride Soarin & TT unless he grows more.

So, a bit of bad news today. Our toy poodle Lily died this morning sometime. It did not come as a surprise to us. She has always had a heart murmur. When she went to the vet in December, the doctor told us she was in congestive heart failure. Her heart had enlarged to about the size of her rib cage. It pushing on her lungs, so she had a difficult time breathing. He prescribed meds for her in hopes of fixing the problem. Unfortunately, they didn't do much if anything for her.

The boys are understandably sad right now. I just wanted to leave you with a picture of our girl.

Megan so sorry to hear of your loss. She looks just like our little old lady, "Cinnamon". It is so hard to lose a family member...we lost our black lab three years ago...we all still call our new "Buddy" by our other guys name; we still miss his silly ways!

Sorry to hear of your family's loss Megan. We lost our black lab last June. It's better now but I still miss her like crazy. I hope the boys are feeling better very soon. Do you think you will be getting the boys another dog? People told me that getting another dog helps. We waited a couple of months. Josie still tells me every couple of weeks that she wishes we could get Hannah back-everytime she says it, it brings tears to my eyes.

I'm so sorry! Losing a pet is so hard and I think even worse when you have kids. We lost our black lab just over 13 months ago and our daughter (9) still gets upset every once in a while about. Hugs to you and your kiddos.

Thanks! I think we were okay with it because we knew how sick she was. We almost expected it. It doesn't make it hurt less though.

Thanks Leanne! I remember reading in your TR about losing your dog. The boys are doing ok. They were initially really upset, but they have come to understand that she is okay now. We already had another dog. We also have a miniature schnauzer named Daisy.

I can totally relate to what you and your family are going through right now. She was as much a part of your family as anyone else. I still think about, and miss my Jasmine from time to time. You have our complete sympathy, and take comfort in the fact that she is no longer struggling and there is no more pain for her. She was a fantastic puppy, and we will miss her! I informed Alisa this morning, she was also very saddened by the news. I hope that all of you can get over this with as little sadness as possible.

Megan, Sorry to hear about your furry baby passing away. Our Golden Retriever named Honey passed away last summer. She was only 6, she developed a tumor in her heart and was having similar issues coughing, trouble breathing, along w/ fluid around her lungs and heart. There was nothing they could do for her and she was in a lot of pain so we put her to sleep. I was heart breaking for us. We still do not have another dog and miss her so much at times. My thoughts and prayers and with your family.

awwwww very sorry for your loss, i know it will take some time, but think of her in a better place now, it was very difficult when we had to put our dog down few yrs back, but now we know she isnt suffering anymore

My childhood dog was named Lily too!
We just had to put my 17 year old cat to sleep a couple of weeks ago. It's hard losing a furry family member.
Hope everyone is ok. I'm sure she had a good life with you guys.

Megan, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Lily. Our 14 year old cat had to be put to sleep in October b/c she had a huge stomach tumor. Even though she was very sick, it didn't make it any easier.
