It's 1250 sq. feet and asking price is $98,000. It has really nice cathedral ceilings, open floor plan, privacy fenced, walk in closet in the master. I don't really understand it b/c homes in my area that are the same size are generally selling for about $10,000 more. :confused3
That would be like a mansion compared to my little house (I'll see if I can find an online pic). Mine was $90K 5 years ago, and with the boom, I could probably get a little over $200K now.

If I sell mine and move, how soon could you be out? :goodvibes

cute right?

the problem is that I already have a contract on another house but it is contingent on the sale of my house and the people who's house I'm trying to buy has a contract on a house and everything for them has to be closed by november or they can't move at all. It has made me want to do this :badpc: to something.

Ash, you're house is beautiful. I cannot believe the prices in your area. I thought our area was one of the lower ones. That house would sell for about $170k here.

You are a great decorator, you can tell you are an artist.

And that is a GREAT price for a home, I live in a 1000 SQ FT house in the not most desirable part of town, and it would sell for about $150,000. I would buy your house if my job would let me work from home!

My husband just said we should move the house to another part of the country :rotfl2: I wish that would work but oh well.

That house at that price would sell the first day it's listed here. I work in a real estate office and there is a huge shortage of decent listings here. Everything is either wayyy overpriced or small fixer-uppers.

Okay, here goes nothing...

That's my house -- all 936 sq. ft. of it. 80' x 100' lot, fenced, above ground pool, central air, gas heat, new appliances. I could get over $200k here, but if I moved it onto Long Beach Island (the beach resort town about 20 minutes south), I could probably get close to $400k if not more.

Sweet Angel - your house looks a lot like mine, but we don't have a garage. We have a carport that was converted to a screened porch. We even have the same picket fence.

Wow, it amazed me to the difference of property values in this country. I don't know why everything is so cheap here.

I had a lot done to it last year -- the air/gas conversion, the siding, windows, shutters...it used to be faded yellow asbestos shingles. DBF put up the fence all by himself (and it actually is complete!!).

angel, i think that your house is really cute too. i don't have a garage and i know that is one thing that is hurting me, but still $98k is not a lot of money for a house at all especially one in a nice little patio home community in a really nice area with great schools and in this kind of condition.

We have a huge detached garage that you can't see in the picture, 1,152 sq.ft., full basement, a little over 1 acre, half wooded, half cleared (bears included :teeth: ). Our house would sell for anywhere between $150-$170k.

DH's sister lives in SC, and he tells me she has what we would consider a mansion (yes, an exaggeration, but just a little) for less than we paid for our house. It is strange how the prices differ so much.

you have a really pretty yard. our lot is really narrow it is .11 acre but it goes straight back kind of like the house, but you know for someone who doesn't like a lot of yard work...
