Hey! July 30th, 2005 cruise to Mexico DISfriends!

The best I can determine... we're to stay at the Fairfield Marriott on Harbor Blvd (Anaheim) from 7/27- 7/30.... They said it's across the street from DL :confused3

OK... what's with this snow...??I thought it never snowed at the Jersey coast..!! :cold:

that's why they have Newtown, and Kutztown, maybe Indiana... :teeth:
those folks love the snow :flower:

Philly's having their Flower show this week..It's a great event...! :flower3:

OK, Mr. Bill, get this straight - people in Kutztown are sick
and tired of this cold and snow. For goodness sakes,
we've had enough winter. It is snowing as we speak
(Friday morning). Maybe it is our onion snow (ever heard
of that one?!).
My university students and faculty return on Monday, oh joy!
Lucy

I believe,if my Pa. Dutch heritage doesn't fail me...., I believe they planted the onions earily, so that the onions would keep cool when it snowed..!! :confused3
I don't remember really....!! :rolleyes1 I'll bet JoAnn knows... :goodvibes

She probably has a better story than I... :drinking:

Not to worry "bout Monday Luce,It will probably be a snow holiday... :bitelip: :bitelip:

Sorry - sunny, blue skies, and 88 degrees here in Arizona. Just finished getting the pool ready so the girls can swim this weekend. :sunny:

The weather here is almost the same as for Leslie (gouodux)...78 degrees. :sunny:

Hey, that reminds me...guess I should post the information I collected for everyone. I'll work on that next.

Ok Dad....you're in trouble now...... :earseek: ...be afraid, be very afraid!

We will be in DL at the GC from the 27th to the 30th....I think it would be fun to meet for a dinner or something if it's not too complicated. There was a restaurant somewhere near the hotel/parks that we went to that was pretty good.....What does everyone think?...I know we probably all have a million plans for those few days.... :moped:

I'll be in Santa Monica in about a week and a half, how's the weather been?

Hello Arizona (guodox?)...what's your name? What I wouldn't do for some pool weather right now! :smooth:

Downtown Disney has some great restaurants and the GC is situated right there. I know there's the Rainforest Cafe, Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen, House of Blues, several italian restaurants...those are just a few to mention.

It's been hot here. Actually sent my son to school in shorts yesterday and today. Yesterday it was 78, today was about 75. It's slated to get cooler as the week wears on--I think the high for Wednesday was predicted to be 65 or so....much warmer than the East! Strange to think it's snowing where you are and people here are wearing shorts! :sunny:

Ah the Pennsylvania Dutch! We have two communities here that follow the traditions of P.D. My DH is from NE Ohio where too many of these traditions are followed!

Snow! Phew! I am so sick of it! Yesterday DS11 and I were running errands. It was snowing sideways (quite a wind). As we were driving, it was blinding, then NOTHING! So weird. It's been that way for three days. Snow one minute, then sunny the next. So like Indiana. They say if you don't like the weather here, just wait an hour...........it'll change.

Well, my Hoosiers are out of the NCAA BB tournament, so I can go to WDW and relax tomorrow and not worry about the NCAA tourney pairing! But, DH and his Texas Tech team are looking good, so that means he will live at the ESPN club and DS7 (8 next week! :bday: )DD5 and I will be left alone. WDW......a good place to be left alone! DS11 is traveling with his dad, so it will seem weird to be at WDW without him (a first for us). But, I will seem a little light handed as well! Next week looks like :umbrella: down there some, but I will take a warm rain over snow anyday!!!!

Jo Ann ~ I will be anxious to hear about your CA trip. That sounds cool! :goodvibes
Anyone seen Lynn??? :confused3
Bill I would love to see the flower show! Doesn't that just get you so psyched up for Spring? :flower:
Lucy you must have quite a time keeping professors in line. I worked in the history department at Indiana State when I was in college. What a job! I learned a lot about organization! ;)
Lisa How far from LA are you? I got an e-mail from a friend in LA yesterday who also said weather was awesome!
Leslie welcome to the best Mexican cruise thread on the boards!!! :disrocks:

Well it was snowing, but now the sun is out! See what I mean????? :confused3

Jenny-I'm about an hour south of LA and an hour north of SD. Our weather is awesome, not our best but pretty good. We're all wearing shorts today! :cool1:

Ok, I'm alittle jealous about the CA weather right now! I can't wait to get there!

Have a great trip Jenny!

Still trying to get to the Flower Show.............it's the last day! :flower:

I never got your message...

Oh, no no!! :sad2: You might have missed my "call" for information back on page 21, post #308. I never got your info and I only posted people's info who said it was OK to post it publicly. I didn't want to post anyone's info publicly if they didn't say it was OK as some people on other threads mentioned concerns with privacy.

The info I was looking to compile was your name, spouses name, occupations, name and ages of any children with you, cabin number, dinner seating, where you're travelling from and any other info you want to include. Everyone ended up no only listing their kids ages but their own too (that's purely optional :teeth: ). So, give me your info and I'll repost the group list.

Sorry about the confusion there!

Lisa

Thanks lisa..... the list sure helps keeping all the players straight...

I have a question... How big /long can these threads get to be...??

It's a shame you Ca folks are experiencing all that great weather...using sun block, shorts, down to one layer of clothes... :rolleyes1 ...bummer ...!!

Thx Lisa! Nice job with the list! :teeth:

I believe the thread can be as long as you want it to be. Some are 90 pages or more!

Glad the list is working for you all! Anyone who's not listed, please either PM or post your information and we'll add you to the official list as long as you're fine with it being "publicly" posted!

Yep, our CA weather is realling killing us :rotfl: . Had to pull out all our shorts...he he he.

I loved the list - was looking up cabins yesterday - but one
of JoAnn's cabins isn't on my deck plan - wonder if she is
staying with her dad :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

As much as our weather is absolutely lousy in the east (cold),
I'm so happy for the "California people" - it is about time you
had sunny weather. I'm also a fan of the weather channel (my
DH says I live a very boring life - I can watch that channel
for hours!) and California has been suffering too long.

The Arizona pool thing did hurt - we are trying to get rid of our ice!!

Hope more DISers respond to our list - it really helps to get to know
everyone before we meet on the cruise.
Lucy

Hey...!! that's no problem... we just stash my lovely daughter out on the veranda... pirate: it's warm enough.... :hyper2: really, if it has to be ,I can deal with it....!! :drinking1 you got it all wrong ...we have awarm ,loving relationship :tilt:

gee whizz ...another weather channel person.. I'm one and I'm told ,about half of the Grandchildren are addicted

Missed the part about occupations. So if your interested . . . . . .

Leslie - Psychologist
Shawn - Regional Manager for Nordstrom

Don't remember the exact cabin number, but we are on deck #5.

Don't believe ANYTHING dear ol' Dad implies ;) .......he lies a lot! :smooth:

I'm sure my room #s are slightly wrong, I have to check on them and give the correct ones....I believe I am two doors down from the "old ball and chain!" pirate:
