Yes, I've been to the Phillies new stadium. In fact, I'm thinking about going back on April 29th for Teacher Appreciation Night! :teacher:

If you are afraid of "albil", believe me, you are on the right track (especially the "Bill" part!) We are sailing with him, just try to make the best of it! :rotfl:

Awwwww ALBILL seems like a big ol' softy to me...nothing to be afraid of. (hmmmm, maybe you guys know something I don't? :confused3 )

Ok, if you're up for the CHALLENGE.............go for it!

We are in Miami right now and the weather is beautiful!! :goodvibes

Something I've been meaning to mention....did anyone notice ..? that the Phila. Phillies "crushed "the Cinn.Reds recently... did I read that right..?? :wave2:
don't mean nuttin...pre season...any time a Philly team win's in anything
is a major event....!! :rotfl2:
. :rockband:

O.k. I just get back from a week at WDW and find I have been "slammed" on the boards!!!! just kidding!

You will all be pleased to know that I needed my winter coat desperately at the Yankees/Reds game on Friday night in Tampa. We ended up leaving because we were miserable (coats were in the car in the Indy airport!!!) :sad2: . We got to see Randy Johnson pitch which was cool (that is the skinniest man I have ever seen!!!).

Saturday came through for us though. It was 72 degrees, sunny and a nice breeze. We all got sunburned faces! My DD5 took her oldest brother's Adam Dunn jersey and got it signed and personalized for him (had to go with EX for break  )

WDW was great! We saw Nolan Ryan at the ESPN club, which was cool for us baseball junkies! We did a lot of park hopping so the kids could ride the rides. Celebrated DS8 birthday at Chef Mickey. DS8 and DD5 did a pirate cruise for two hours at the Yacht/Beach Club. Two hours of no kids at WDW!!! ;) I would highly recommend this. It is new, but similar to the one at the GF.

As I laid on Lido Beach yesterday, I thought who needs a therapist? I could just lay here all day. I really needed that sound and view to get me through the next 2.5 months. I just dread going back to work after all the fun! We did notice this trip the amount of dolphins jumping out in the ocean. I told DH that I was glad we didn't pay for Sea World this trip. We had our own dolphin show!!!

Have a great week everyone!
So, Albill I won't see your Phillies in Cincy until September but a friendly wager would be good. ::yes::

JoAnn have a great trip!

Nothing wrong with going to a good therapist!!!

Otherwise we wouldn't be able to pay for these cruises . . . . . . :rotfl2:

Sounds like you had a nice trip Jenny! Glad you had some warmer weather :sunny: . Today was on the colder side (in the 60s).

We had a quiet weekend. We did have some of my college buddies over, reminiscing about our good old Irvine days (Leslie can appreciate that since she's an Anteater also). We were laughing about the TV program "The OC". Makes it seem like everyone in Orange County is wealthy and spoiled...NOT. Anyway, it was nice to see some friends who I haven't seen in a while.

Have a great week everyone...dreaming about our cruise... ;)

Boy do I need a therapist, seriously. Living with our 18 yr. old
son is getting harder and harder. Honestly, if you can give me
a session on the ship, i'll buy you a coke (of course they are free :rotfl: ).
I really do admire your profession.
Jenny, we are going to WDW in June for a few days....looking forward
to it. Actually today my 18 yr. old is applying for the Disney College
Program - we really need him to be accepted in this program, wish
us luck - he has no goals in life, and this would give him something
to look forward to.
This weekend was terribly busy - bridal shower shopping, bridal shower,
laundry, baking (well I had to relax somehow, didn't I?!). Unfortunately
my university is not closed on Good Friday, so no day off for me.
My 12 yr. old is off all week, lucky duck.
JoAnn, hope the weather is cooperating for you.

OK, I'm jealous of everyone who gets to go to WDW before our cruise! It will be a few years before we can make it back to FL :sad2:

Lucy-sending some pixie dust your way for your son :wizard: So what is the Disney College Program all about? Is it a four year college? Sounds like a great opportunity given it's Disney! Hope it all works out for him!

I bet JoAnn is having a blast right now!

Work wasn't too bad today. The kids were so quiet (not normal :sad2: ). I bet that won't last! 47 more days..........

I am really psyched about this cruise. I am really wanting to see the excursions. Somehow getting the info will be more suitable for me. I am kind of disappointed that Disney booked up all the dolphin excursions. They really jacked up the price too! Oh well........the transportation will be a valuable thing. Anyone else up for the dolphin excursion????

Oh Albill............where are you??? Not taking me up on that bet huh?? ;)

We'd love to do the Dolphin excursion but my youngest is too little. Someday in the future we'll do it :fish: . I saw on another thread that some of the excursions are booked already (not for our cruise but for some of the people who are within their 90 day mark)...that just amazes me! I also noticed on the Disney website there's only Cat 4s and 5s left for our cruise...of course that will probably change at the 90 day mark when the money comes do...it is a relief to have the cruise paid off. Now I'm just saving for the shipboard credit.

Well, my DS6 is on Spring Break for two weeks starting today, so that means the insanity began today in my house  . My two boys have the love-hate thing going, very frustrating. So, I'm in the process of booking up our days with at least one activity until school starts again. Good grief :earseek: !

Hey all! We are leaving tomorrow for home and then heading West on Wednesday! We were pretty lucky with the weather...it was mid 70s but alittle breezy. We're all burnt so all was not lost! ;)

Glad to hear of a WDW trip, we won't be there in a long time. We're hoping DL will do us for a while.

Jenny.............don't challenge him, you'll never hear the end of it!!!!!!!!! pirate:

I am ready to start deciding about excursions........I'm also tempted to just rent day rooms in each port and enjoy the beaches.........I have to check into that.

Also, I am really looking forward to hearing what the first few cruisers say when they sail about excursions.

Once this week is over.....it's back to waiting and waiting...... :hourglass

Actually, I had wrote up a beauty ...but I must have failed to mail it...
just as well, it was nasty note

Good to hear from JOANN what's her name....I hope you took care of my Grandaughters....!!

Jenny I'm working on the bet....!! Is that the only time the Phillies see the Reds ...in Sept..?? Listening to the experts, would have us believe the Phillies will be ready for the World Series by then... By the way let me thankyou for sending us Pete Rose :worship: I think he is the best ball player in my lifetime...He just had a few bad habits ...!pirate:

I noted some comments regarding 18 yr old's....When have they ever been anything other that a pain in the ..... :rolleyes1 been there....!!

I'm starting to itch for the cruise...,you guys are starting to get to me.. :Pinkbounc

It looks like summer will be here in no time, I'll get to try my 'ol thong before the cruise... :tilt: :tilt:

Ok, now you got my attention... I'm still trying to get used to seeing women in the "ol' thong" but I'm really not sure if I'm ready to see Albill in his ol' thong :earseek: . You might need to post a picture in advance of the cruise, just so we can prepare ourselves :scared1: ....

Well you can believe Brigantine would be shocked also....
Actually, the "Hemp" part tends to be itchy... :teeth: Who Ha..!!

If you can recall pictures of "beached" whales, that would cover any pictures I would have... :bitelip:

Well, with the holiday approching and all this pleasent weather,I've got to get cracking in the yard... :daisy:

JoAnn: your father is really grossing us out - please come home and
take care of him! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I had a really horrible morning here at work this morning and, during
my lunch, i read all these threads - really, really perked me up - you
guys are so funny. I'm starting to smile.
Took a walk after my horrible morning - helps a little bit, then,
these threads!, I'm totally cheered. :cheer2:

Bill, I just can't get over the "thong".

Albill............I agree with you on Pete. Great player and bad choice of "friends"! But you know the "druggies" will be in the HOF.. Enough of the soapbox!

Reds and Phillies play in Philly May 12-15...got any good tix connections??? :teeth: I actually know one of the scouts for Philly. We met at the hotel in Cincy a couple of years ago and he looks us up when he is in town. I love hearing about his job and interaction with players.

I am so glad JoAnn is having a good time........... :sunny:

Lisa do you REALLY want a picture of that thong??? :earboy2: I think the visual I have is really way too much information (TMI!!!) :confused3

Yes, maybe you're right... :crazy2:

Please don't encourage him!!

I'll do what I can but truly, he's hopeless! :love2: (jkjk, Dad!)

We're going to try for round 2, this time our youngest will be playing soccer at Cal State Fullerton, so we're going out to support her and enjoy CA. The weather seems alittle cooler than it's been recently. Rain is in the forecast for Thursday so wish us luck!

Best wishes to all, while preparing for the Easter holiday! :flower:

Cal State Fullerton is my DH's alma mater. The weather has been cooler and today it is raining. It's due to stop tomorrow and resume again sometime on Thursday...pixie dust :wizard: that it won't start until Friday. I have to say, although we perpetually need rain, I AM SICK of it! I don't know how the Seattle people do it. It puts me in a funk.

Have fun JoAnn...I'll think of you while you're here in CA!!!!

Sorry Jenny, I'm not connected for tickets, wish I was just for you folks sake.... I've never visited the new stadiums, I'm told they are beautiful....

I can't justify the cost for tickets, parking, food, etc. .... pirate:
Frankly, I've waited many, many years for any of the "Pro" teams to yield a winner...!! We got close this year... :rolleyes2 looks like the 76's are fading again..... :sad2: So now we wait and watch the Phillies..... oh yeah... the Bet...!! :rolleyes1 How 'bout you make me a offer I can't refuse...!!
