Lucy making her OWN tickers........what is this world coming to!!:lmao: :lmao:

Oh, Debi! I have been thinking of you guys! This hurricane thing is awful! What are your plans as Lucy asked??:sad2:

JoAnn - hopefully you have your house secure and all is well there. I cannot imagine the frustration.......

Lynn - My students teacher is coming to the Surrey area, but has not been assigned yet. She will be there in late Oct. Need a good American??:rotfl2: She seems very talented, mature and dedicated. Hard to find these days in a 22 year old!!!

Thx Jenny.....I'm so jealous about your ST!!! One year, you and I are going to Lynn's school to observe and guest teach!!!:cool1:

We need info, Debs....what's up with the hurricane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:scared1:

LuLu, are you going to tell us how things are going???:confused3 :surfweb:

Ok, I have to share some Lynn & Keith stories..........

3. I think it was our second night (formal night)......we all go into Rockin' Bar D, Lynn, the girls, Mom are all dancing...........I forgot where Keith was?.....Ken & my dad are just chillin' (b/c they were so happy they didn't have to dance).........Keith walks in...........Ken pushes him up to the dance floor........Keith starts dancing with us...........one of the CMs grab him and he DISAPPEARS WITH HER....the next thing you know, he's on the stage with 4 other guys dancing as "Nsync"......next they all take off their jackets.....now they're barechested......next we find out THAT KEITH IS PORTRAYING JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE!! HOW FUNNY IS THAT? :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

more memories to come..................:woohoo:

ROTFLMAO :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: What a visual!
Debi

Still reading....

Crazy news...........as I was sharing Lynn & Keith stories.........I discovered that we were robbed at our shorehouse this week! The detective and police officer just left..............apparently, it might have just been neighborhood kids or perhaps, some crack addicts...........now Tracy & I are scared to go to bed!! Yikes.............:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Sorry to hear about that, it is such a lousy feeling...hope you guys are alright.

I am trying to read what I missed the last few days and look at JoAnn's pics at the same time, guess I should do one or the other to catch up. Like I said, still reading and responding as I go along...more to come.
Debi

Ok, finally got this all read. I was in Pennsauken, NJ all weekend, we had a show down there, so I have not been on the computer, other than to check Dean's path. The show was not all that great, more of a stampers show than scrapbooking, but at least I made my money back, plus a couple hundred dollards. I probably will not do that show next year, as it is a lot of work for only a little bit of money.

Tomorrow we are heading down to Arlington National Cemetery. My SIL father passed away in June, he was a major in the Army, and is being buried at Arlington, with full honors, so Alex (maybe Briana) and I are going.

Briana had her senior pictures taken this morning, I can't believe my baby is a senior.

Now, as for the weather. As of right now, we are still in limbo. No sense calling DVC until after the storm hits Cancun, which is projected tonight into tomorrow morning. Continental was offering you to be able to change your flights if you were booked through the 21st (tomorrow). As of last night, Dean was heading straight for Cancun and Cozumel. But you have to remember, they are used to this. 2 years ago, they had a devastating Hurricane Wilma, which hung over the island of Cozumel for almost 2 days, major damage. That was right after our cruise, you remember how upset I was. So last night I was crying, thinking I am not going to get to go on vacation. But as of this morning, the storm seems to be tracking a little further south, headed more toward Belize. I have been watching nothing but the Weather Channel, and my "new friend" Jim who is stationed in Cancun said this morning that it looks like it is heading about 160 miles south of Cancun, which still means that they will get tropical storm winds and rain. So it looks like we should be able to get there, I will know better tomorrow night/Wednesday morning. now, the bad news is that I checked the 10 day forecast, and it looks like a lot of rain for the area for next week, that is depressing. Hopefully, that will change, I am praying.

Well, that is the story. I am going to be very depressed if we don't get to go away, or if the weather is lousy when we are there. I am so looking forward to "wasting away in Margaritaville" on the beach, and not in my room!

Now I will try to go look at JoAnn's pictures.

Debi

Hopefully by Saturday, the bad weather will blow away............:surfweb: .........

I'm sure Lucy will keep checking for you. (TWC):happytv:

We have now secured our shorehouse, it's like Fort Knox, I don't expect any further trouble.........I suspect two young boys who are of a questionable origin, I spoke to their father and he was very defensive. My next door neighbor, is always on her back porch, is now watching for me as well.......

Young people do not have enough to do in the summer and they make poor choices!

I have to add to the blog, my editorials of the pictures....hopefully this week!

Jenny, I went into work today, I'll have 28+ students
this year....our school is bursting at the seams........I'll have to try Lynn & Keith's motto......"GO WITH THE FLOW"..........This will be a challenge b/c as mentioned earlier, I'm not the go with the flow type!:sad2: :teacher:  :guilty: How's school going??

Jim is my friend too - as Bob has told all of you - the Weather Channel is my favorite TV channel. Cancun looked beautiful this morning, absolutely gorgeous. I also heard it will make more of a hit on Belize and Cozumel.
I am wishing the Bolusi Family good luck on their plans....you guys deserve it!:cool1:  :yay:

28 STUDENTS OMG!!!!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: That's what it was like when I started some 24 years ago. I had upwards of 35 in those days! In the past 5 years or so I have been 24 or less. Right now I am at 23.

School is o.k. My student teacher has been a blessing at this time of the year. She's instinctive, which is always good.

I like Lynn & Keith's motto.................mine is "Life ain't no dress rehearsal" so I live it just like that!!!!!!!!!:woohoo:

Lucy watch the weather channel???? :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

you have a problem with the weather channel - WHY can't there be Fantasy Weather (instead of the football)?:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

You guys are starting to have college-size classrooms, honestly. How can these students learn in such big classes - oh, yea, I almost forgot....they have YOU as teachers, excuse my stupidity:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Lynn, what are the classroom sizes in your school? I hope smaller.:teacher:

Well, noone is sitting in the family room so I'm going to turn on my TV...to the Weather station....I'm only doing 'this' for the Bolusi's, you know.:rolleyes1

Yes, Lucy, keep watching......I'm alittle nervous about what I heard today...I might start watching too!!:happytv:

It's worse than 28 kids b/c during Science I will have a least 2 more kids in each of my sections and it's all hands on small group work......I'm freaking out right now............. :teacher:

one more week........then..........SHOWTIME!!!!!!!!

Debs: you MAY go.....you have my permission - I THINK you'll be ok.... seems like the hotels will be ok, the beach MAY be a little small, though.:beach: It will make for some good pictures (hint-hint-hint).
AND we all thought the Med would be interesting:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

WOW, turns out the Williams family had the MOST boring vacation....
Jenny has the explosion in NYC, Joann and Lynn and Alice have the adventure of the Mediterranean, you guys will have the aftermath of the hurricane.:flower3:
Ah, I think I'll stick with b-o-r-i-n-g.:scared1:

MAN, this rain is depressing. Looks like we won't see sunshine until tomorrow.
SO, bryan leaves for work around 7:15 and tells me his windshield wipers don't work:scared1: ....will I EVER stop worrying:sad2:

Tonight is parent night! However, I have to attend Mallory's at 6:00, Marshall' at 6:45, then my presentation is at 7:30. Poor John has a football game, but will I be there????????:rolleyes1 :sad2:

Hope everyone had a great day! 6 days down and 174 to go!!:lmao:

...your countdown VERY ANNOYING!:furious: :furious: :furious: :furious:

SO, this retirement thing....when do I rest? Isn't that the definition of retirement? I just cleaned the 21-yr. old's room:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: ....we WON'T talk about it:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
THEN had to run tyler to high school to pick up that stupid lap top...of which he has to use a LOANER again...long story....I'm not happy again. Had to waste one hour for that. NOW it is 4:30 and I'm not ready for dinner.....
Why does it seem like I never complete a project....:confused3

I've also had it with the cold temps and RAIN.....this is NOT hurricane district, why doesn't it stop raining?

Saturday, NYC and Rent! :cool1:

MY COUNTDOWN????:rotfl:

Was there an Annoying/Countdown fight today??

I'm back from school and my BTS haircut (& color, of course)........been working each day, it's so nice and relaxing...........

Watching TWC :happytv: , hopefully, they'll have everything cleaned up by Saturday!! I guess it's now past Cancun and crossing over to the West Coast.......

What's with all this rain!!! It was 60 degrees today.....it's still summer!!!

GL with your parent's night, that came up awful quick!! Yikes!!

It was nice of you to clean his room, LuLu.......:sad2:

for the END of school! (174 more days to go!)...that is what was annoying!:scared1:

for the END of school! (174 more days to go!)...that is what was annoying!:scared1:
Oh, I completely understood that!!:rotfl2: I usually go to school the first day and say, "179 days to go!!"....then I stop counting until April!!

According to TWC, Cancun was spared........:cool1: ...........:wizard:

Looks like we will be going since the store shifted further south, not much damage to Cancun or Cozumel. Have also been watching TWC (tv and online) and just checked this morning, and they expect all resorts to be back in business by today...I am just going to call DVC this morning (for piece of mind) just to make sure everything is ok. Micco sent me a website with a webcam right outside our hotel, and it looks beautiful this morning.

So Alex is working for me today and I only have to work tonight and tomorrow. Then Friday the girls and I are going for lunch and massages (I have a whole spa pkg that Micco bought be for Christmas - massage, mani, pedi, and haircut - so I will be doing that) and they got the massages for Christmas too from him.

Yesterday we spent the day down in Arlington National Cemetery. A little history for the girls as well, Briana has never been to DC, we did pass by the Capitol, White House and Washington Monument, too. I really want to take them there for a long w/e, Micco and I went when we were in college, and I haven't been back since, but I enjoyed it. The ceremony was with full military honors, the casket was pulled by four horses, with the riderless horse (boots backwards) behind. There was a military band, as well as a bugler playing taps, and a 21 gun salute. Then we went to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier where the Callaghan family laid a wreath in memory of their father. It was quite touching and a beautiful ceremony. But now I know what they mean when they say a staff sargeant is barking orders at you, because the man doing the ceremony sounded like he was barking. It was a rainy, misty day all day, kind of fit in with the whole mood of the day. It was a very long emotional day, but I am hoping that my SIL can now begin to heal, she has been through a lot recently.

Will check in with you guys again before we leave.

Debi

I actually just got a little excited. Just checked the 10 day forecast for Cancun, as of Monday it called for rain every day (there was not even a sun in the forecast), now it is showing scattered or isolated showers up until Wednesday, that is a better looking forecast. The sun is partially showing in every day. Maybe I won't have to spend my whole vacation drinking margaritas in my hotel room. :woohoo:  :woohoo:  :woohoo:

Debi

Ok guys, we need 3 more teams in order for our league to not get disbanded by 12:00 midnight tonight. I got 1 more person to join, so we just need 2 more. If anyone knows anyone who wants to play, just go into the website and hit invite your friends, and add their email to it. C'mon let's get going. :confused3
