whatta day:woohoo:
Bob's family was coming for picnic lunch
SO, Lucy puts on her cooking hat and off she goes! :cool1:
new recipes - LOTS of food....I started to panic about 30 minutes before they got here because I was still mixing up the food....it was SO GOOD!.

of course, ask me what Tyler ate - chips, a hot dog, and watermelon.
I made: homemade chili sauce for hot dogs, ranch pasta salad, caesar salad, mushroom topping for hamburgers, cheesy potates, baked beans, choc. chip cookies, choc. cake with peanut butter icing, cut-out cookies in shapes of patriotic symbols (which of course included the shape of ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo head!) and a new recipe - a strawberry roll....
and Tyler eats chips! :furious: :furious:

back to work tomorrow - and JENNY is almost finished. Speaking of Jennster, man, Jenny, we were watching the news with the family and all of a sudden there appears a very injured Cincinnati Reds player - what the heck happened.:confused3

Following the thread for this week's sailing - there is a picture of Kathy with a celebrity (sorry, I'll try to get this right - Joey Fontaine? - he was on Dancing with the Stars):cheer2:

Just practicing my new skill of multi-posting!!:rotfl: Anyway, well done, Lucky!! It's okay about the food, I'm sure Bob & you enjoyed it, right? That's all that matters!!!:cool2:

Lucy not sure Keith's work is a bit of a problem but i'll let you know as soon as I do. I saw Kathy with that bJoey person too who is he?

YES, there was a pic of Kathy and Joey Fatone.........he was formerly in a boy band known as NSync (with Justin Timberlake) and recently he was on a TV program called "Dancing with the Stars!" It sounds cheesey but it was actually a good series this year and Joey came in second place and then flew to the Med Magic to sail during this cruise.....I've heard he's fun to cruise with....you know....high intensity, sociable! Did you guys notice that Kathy had a cane in the picture??:confused3

I.......yes, school is out! I have to admit it has been a rough few weeks for me, mostly personally. I had a little "mammo scare", but after more extensive tests, all is well there. Mark and I neither functioned for about two days on that one...:rolleyes1 The "other" thing today is over...e-mail to follow, so now.....

VACATION TIME!I do have to go in tomorrow and finish up my checklist since I didn't work today like everyone else, but that will be a breeze!!!:woohoo:

I love this time of year. I am sitting on the deck in the porch swing and watching the neighbor's grandkids swimming in their pool while I cook a couple of steaks on the grill....laptop in hand.....:dance3: Finally very little to worry about!!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

As for our injured Red...as bad as the video was he was just released from the hospital with a head and neck contusion with an appointment tomorrow with a neurologist for further checks. It did look scary, glad I skipped the game and took the kids to King's Island Theme Park.

Mark took me to hear my favorite player, Bronson Arroyo, play his concert Sunday night. It was a great show! Great Mother's Day gift dear!!:yay:

I now am here to support those of you still in school....:rolleyes1

Jennster, I guess you need to support me for NINETEEN MORE WORK DAYS (not counting weekends of course):cool1: :cool1:  :woohoo:

I meet with my personnel office on Thursday, to discuss my continuing health benefits...my eye and dental coverage stops when I retire (never liked that dentist anyway! - I DO have dentiphobia....look it up girls, it IS a word:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: ). Seriously though, Bob must pick up the dental health insurance because I am ALWAYS breaking a tooth.
Friday I meet with the state retirement guy to sign all my papers:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Then I just sit back and relax for a few weeks - what are they gonna do, fire me?:rotfl: :rotfl2:

look what I found on a thread: (I'm constantly reading the LIVE threads)....you MAY want to consider this (I'm NOT joking about this one)....I'll be back later!:grouphug:

the things you don't think of. . .

A special note to this trip for those that will be cruising later on, and I think other trips as well, is to bring toilet paper. You will not find it on these side trips

I read this and I'm scared!!:scared1: :scared:

Whats so scary just bring tissues we always have them in our handbags don't you?

You know guys just take a travel package of "wipes". I usually carry them still even though the kids are older. :thumbsup2

Well, my first official day off work and I wake up at 6:30.......:coffee: When I work, I can't drag myself out of bed most days!:rolleyes1

I was playing last night and couldn't believe the rates on the cat. 12s available on the Med. Also, I got an ad this morning from my Disney Visa offering the repo in Aug. for $1100 and $699 for the 3rd and 4th guest! I couldn't do it since I will already be back at work, but it sounds like a heck of a deal!

When do you leave Lynn? Are you taking any side trips prior to the cruise? When do you leave JoAnn? Are Bill and Alice going too?????

Come on Jen you know you want to come and play we, Joann, Alice and I ( plus respective other halves and family) sail on the 28th July and return on the 8th Aug. Many new families seem to be booking and taking advantage of the great cat 12 rates, it would be wonderful to see you and Mark again... what's stopping you?

Lucy?

Debi?

Lynn, Keith, Ken, Joannster, Bill, Alice, Muhaha, etc. etc. - DETAILS please.:cheer2: ALL I ask is maybe someone could order a MM bar just for me, take a picture of it while you are enjoying it on the ship, and ALSO - think there is anyone out there who could visit the ice cream place up on deck (I know it is NOT called Scoops anymore)....anyone:banana:

Personally, Jennster, as much as I would LOVE to have that many sea days, doing the transatlantic, their weather sounded awful, i don't really wanna do it. (BUT, I'm doing the Panama Canal). ENJOY YOUR SUMMER, GIRL.....16 more work days for me! I have my 'exit meeting' today at 10:30:cheer2:

unfortunately my recent unplanned expenses have forced me to go to work on July 23rd through Aug 3rd. So, while you cruise the Med., I will be teaching summer school! I wish we were more "worldy" travelers or we'd be there!

Trying to catch up this morning, haven't been on here in a while, even to read.

TracyAlex is taking a summer bio class too. 4 days a week from 8:30 to 11:30, she hates getting up. But she had to catch up since she was down in Disney last year.

We have changed our plans from Disney this year, and are now going to Cancun August 25th to Sept 1st. Things got messed up with Alex and she is no longer a CM (long story), so we decided we didn't really want to pump any money into Disney this year, we did enough of that last year. This is the first time we have done a trade with DVC, so I will let you know how it is. The hotel looks really nice, and it is right on the water. We have never been to Cancun, only to Cozumel (which we love) 5 times, so I hope we don't miss Cozumel too much while we are there.

I have not been reading the Med cruise boards, I refuse to do so. For me, it is too depressing, knowing I should have been on that ship this summer, but will not be. As far as Kathy is concerned, why do you guys still talk about her...I mean she has removed all of us from her life, I am sure she doesn't care what we are doing...why do I have to care...I know this sounds very cold, but at this point, this is how I have to feel. I made an attempt on her birthday in January to call her, left a message, and she never called me back. I was very hurt for quite some time, but now feel if I remove myself from the situation, it won't bother me as much. It is a shame, because I really like Kathy, Ted and the kids. I am sorry for what happened, and that she chose to dis ALL OF US like a child over something stupid (that I wasn't even a part of) instead of talking it out like an adult....there I have said my peace.

On a lighter note, the night before last the Elton John concert from MSG on his birthday was on, (my sister-in-law called me and told me, I didn't know it was on). So I put it on around 9:20, and tivoed (sp?) it. I don't know if anyone has seen it yet, but at the end of the show, they are interviewing Paul McCartney, Ozzy Osbourne, then Bernie Taupin, then it goes into him singing Your Song. Right at the beginning of your song, they cut to MY BIRTHDAY CARD, and you can see ME!!!!!! I was so excited....   I am forever immortalized in an Elton John concert video, how cool is that?????? This is the second time it was on, I am sure they will play it again, so if it's on again, you have to check it out. You can't miss my Happy 60th Birthday Elton card.

We had some people over Sunday for Briana's birthday, what a gorgeous w/e here in NYC. I can't remember a Memorial Day w/e like this in a long time...now we are in for some hot weather....

Jenny Congratulations on finishing another year, enjoy your time off, you deserve it....have a margarita for me girlfriend....:woohoo: :woohoo: I think I am going to cut back to summer hours starting next week, this is my slow time of year, it has been dead so far this week.
Joann When is your last student day?

Well enjoy the day all.

Debi

...oh, and by the way, while some of you are cruising the Med and some of you are in Disney, we will be here, home in NYC....but will be thinking of you...
No plans for that week.:sad1:

Why no longer Scoops what is it called now?

Happy Birthday to Brianna

Wow I know someone famous!!! An Elton John DVD that's so cool.
