The sleet is now coming down (for the last 30 minutes). We already are on a two hour delay!

KOP is such a cool place! I sure wishI could join you. Talking about an expensive shopping trip!

Tracy...we will be in Florida at the same time. We will be at WDW, Naples and Sarasota though.

JoAnn ~ differentiated instruction....don't they make all this stuff sound new? Heck I have found that they keep giving us the same methods with different names. Kinda like fashion!!!

Alot of friends have this flu/virus and it doesn't sound pretty - i feel sorry for you, plus, if school is closed, you can't even have fun at home while sick, everyone is with you...poor guy.

We are looking at one NASTY storm for today/tomorrow.....we'll see.
Not sure about Joannster though, hopefully she will also get a day off...don't think Trace or Lucy will get the day off....they don't close universities.

I think Debster will be hit too....hopefully she doesn't need to go out of the house

Don't even wanna talk about Florida right now, but, if i think about it, WE only have to wait 6 weeks till we go again too.

You guys can have this "stuff"!!!

The top of my poor 20 ft. river birch tree is touching the ground! Seriously! I went to CVS to get the kids some valentines and there were trees broken all over the place. My weeping willow in the back yard has broken off twice! About every five minutes we hear a tree snap somewhere (we have a small woods behind our house). This place is a mess!!!

at 4:30 PM......but, the storm is going to get worse before it gets better....i believe right now we are going to get 3-6 inches with alot of ice tomorrow.

Tyler did have an early dismissal today, and I was about 45 minutes from here....good friend brought him home....i had to take Bryan for his physical for his job....we got home just as the snow was getting heavier.....now we wait for Bob, who should be home around 6:00.....poor guy, I took his car because I felt safer driving it, now he must bring home my little Saturn (he spoils me, doesn't he?)

That puts me working through May 28th now (I think).

All I care about now is that the runways at Indianapolis International are clear come 6:20 Thursday night!!!!

My valentine scheduled me a massage in the spa at our Vegas hotel Friday morning!!!

John still has a fever and sounds TERRIBLE! Poor baby!!!

BTW LOOOSE........I love your little "Ship of Thieves" thingy!! How cute is that? Debi and Lynn need one too!!!

Hey all! We're all icy around here!! I think it's getting snowy now but there's a lot of ice too! Still no announcement about tomorrow's school (I need a day off!!) Sorry about John, I hope he feels better by Thursday! Ken is supposed to fly out tomorrow, it doesn't look good! BTW, I'm on my new laptop....watching my taped View!! (Ken got a candle! )

I haven't called the Rents yet, i'll call tomorrow!!

We were going to surprise Ken on his 50th birthday with a surprise visit from Tara (in May), BUT SHE TOLD HIM TODAY!!!!!!!!!!1 And you wonder why I make the inappropriate comments about my children!!

anywho, i havent had a chance to read lately, ive been in california and all that jazzy jazz so I hope all is well with everyone!

Disneyland was so much fun and it was great to see some of the old roomies again.

I'm praying for lots more snow tomorrow. I have a test that I would love to miss =)

Update on OUR weather this Valentine's Day - I have NEVER seen so much sleet in my life....Tyler has the day off, I don't but I'm taking it as a vacation day - NO WAY am I going out there....I can't stand up in dry weather (NYC) - what would I be like in this stuff!
Honestly, though, this storm is NOT anything to kid about...it is dangerous. I'm just wondering if the mall will open today, and Bob must go to work

One of Bob's friends at work has tickets to Jersey Boys today - I have NO idea if this bus is running....I feel so sorry for her, but I feel more sorry for people who MUST go out in this. Hospital employees, e.g., what the heck am I gonna do when Bryan must go to work in this, starting next week....I'll be a mess, yep, I'm complaining when he doesn't work, and I'm complaining when he does....it will be a long day and I will probably be on here all day long.

What is Ken doing today with the flight, Joannski? Did you finally get a day off? I heard Philly airport is running about 50 % capacity.

Jennster: any news on your flight tomorrow - i have a feeling you'll be fine - are you in school now?

Ken's flight was cancelled so he called and was put on a connecting flight at 11:30am.......he should arrive at around 5pm. He already left so I'll call him soon and check on him.

I'm finally off for the first time this school year (nothing like being off on a Wednesday.) I just have to clean now, a few soccer parents are coming over tomorrow to plan the Varsity team fundraisers.........so I have a day to get ready now!!

I haven't heard from the Rents, so I'll try to call today! Lynn? Deb? Jen?

I am home today. After the ice stopped we got about 3" of snow on top of it! I took Mark to work today because our driveway is so steep and I doubt he could have gotten his car out.

JoAnn ~ I hope Ken gets to FL o.k. You are going, right? When do you leave? I hope he does well in the race. I admire him greatly!

Debi?? How's the shop going? How's the family? I noticed the nasty weather in NYC (since I get to see Regis and Kelly!). Looks nasty!

What a week! If I work tomorrow I will work a total of two days! The airport seems to be doing fine. The flight we are taking tomorrow night is leaving on time tonight, so I think that's a good sign!

I thought Lynn was somewhere "exotic"!! Hope you had a great time! I'd love to hear about it! I have always dreamed myself of going to Italy and Sicily. My great grandfather immigrated from Sicily, so I find it fascinating!

Welcome back Lynn!!! Tell us what you saw in Rome!

I am going to attempt to go out soon, I've been cleaning all day!! Ken is on his way, he had several delays and flight changes but he should be in the air now. The rest of us are going Friday night (I didn't take off for this trip.) We have off on Monday so it's worth it! Ken is racing his first marathon on Sunday morning. GL flying tomorrow, Jeni, it should be over by then!

The "Rents" are touring Fl, they are in Cocoa Beach today, they're heading to Naples for a few days and then coming across to visit Tara and all of us! They said the weather is just so-so but certainly better than here!!

HB to Ali & Luci ........it's coming up ladies!! I forgot I have to go to Jess's banquet on the 25th, so how's the 24th looking for KOP???

Me again!! Ken finally took off at 4pm! He was on the plane at 12 and HAD TO WAIT THAT LONG TO DEPART!

Anyway, he is now in FL...........Tara is out with her "roomie" on her Val Day Date.............I have a surprise for Ken when he arrives at the apartment!!

FOUR hours! that is WAY too long to sit on an airplane, unless you know you are heading to Florida

Poor Bob, had such a horrible day - he had to be at work at noon, got stuck in the driveway, finally got out of drive with the boys' help, but got soaking wet while trying (and still has this terrible cough/cold)....gets to work around 12:30 - at 3:00 they close the stupid store! MAN, what a waste of time....
then, the poor guy had to push someone else that was stuck in their parking lot at the store and got all wet again...Bob will never get better...he MUST go back to the doctor...we are both suspecting pneumonia.

I didn't go to work today, even though staff was required to be there - heck with them, took a personal day....WELL, tonight I told Bob to drive me up to the university to check out the parking lots for tomorrow - NONE of them were cleared yet - how the heck was staff supposed to report to work today....

7:30 and going to bed to read....it was NOT a good day with the oldest, he was SO moody I couldn't stand him...nasty....maybe it was from the shots he got yesterday....he needs another one tomorrow...i'm moving out if this continues, since it doesn't look like he is going anywhere!
