Exotic places - I consider Staten Island an exotic place - seriously, I don't get out much, do I?
I am really a country girl, and don't leave home much

You know, this snow was fun, while it was happening, but now it is ugly.
Because the ice is so thick, there are no parking spaces here at the university....you can't clear anything from streets....I'm in need of spring, real soon or my trip to WDW, which will be March 30 (too far away)

Anyone wanna talk?

I'm back!! We got in around 1:30am last night.........boy do I have stories!!!!!!!!!

First, I agree about the Mandy song......it is truly my favorite memory of BM! Sounds like LV was great!!!

Poor Ken lost his luggage in the Valentine's Day storm! On my way home (Ken was already home) it was my duty to pick it up. We arrived at MIA 2 hours early and got in line at baggage claims......after 15 minutes, I left Jess there and went up and checked us in...........after 30 minutes more, Jess was still in line.........I found an AA person who sent us on a wild goose chase where we finally found his luggage, by then it was less than 60 minutes until take-off........we checked in his luggage and had to lug it around to the TSA agent, who literally checked the clock (it turns out we had 2 minutes to spare!) On top of all this, I can barely walk from my HM recovery............. all I can say is that I'M NOT MOVING TONIGHT!!

Mom and Dad should be on the train right now.............they slept over with us the night before the race and someone had a little snoring problem (so Ken & I were up the whole night!)Aside from that, it was nice to see Tara, Jer and the other ladies.........we didn't rest much and the weather was only 50s but it was still quite an adventure..........

Unfortunately, we missed the season opener of Amazing Race and everyone knows that tonight is the first American Idol show!

Sorry about the snow, but AT LEAST YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO THIS WEEKEND!!!

everyone is FINALLY home, well, ALMOST.....

WOW, I shouldn't feel too badly for not being able to fall asleep last night until 10 PM....when you old ladies were awake much later...and then had to go to school???!!!!.....cranky teachers today

I am driving bob crazy (as if that is something new!)....Bryan must drive to different hospitals in the Lehigh Valley this week for his training and I have myself sick that he will get lost or not make it on time....when will I EVER stop worrying about the kids

I mean, Debs sent her daughter off to WDW for a long time, JoAnnsie sends her daughter off to M-I-A-M-I - how do you girls survive and not worry about the kids, minute by minute ...oh, yea, I KNOW, you are much younger than me and your stress level is MUCH, much lower

Well, after all is said and done, I'm FINALLY getting an MRI on my knee.....after all these NYC falls, I believe I did some damage because I'm having alot of pain, plus I DID twist the bad knee Friday night. I'm going tomorrow night at 8:00....who knows what they will find (HEY, maybe some old bones )
I've GOT to heal soon, it won't be long till I'm in WDW!

And, I don't know if I told you, Bob was FINALLY diagnosed WITH pneumonia (x-rays finally showed the pneumonia)....BUT, since this started about 4 weeks ago (when he came home from Florida), and he has been on antibiotics several times, and the doctor FINALLY decided to do x-rays (don't get me started with THAT doctor, believe me, Bob and I don't see the same doctors!), and they found the pneumonia, but, thank goodness, he is FINALLY healing.

Seriously, sorry to hear about your knee, Loosey, and again sorry to hear about Bob, but, YES, HEAL for your upcoming trip................our little mini-WDW trip was so refreshing...........I love the way you're pampered there!!

All I'm going to say is GOOD NEWS TODAY.......I can't comment on why (because of the LURKERS) but................ I think you get the drift................

Yes, the rent's are back.... what a great experience... using the Auto Train from Va to Northern Florida......it sure beats driving.... !! Met some neat people and met some ^%&^% ...!!
the highlite of the visit to Fl was seeing all the GD's in one place
terrific people those kids Sitting at the Clevelander was fun, checking out all the "SIGHTS",I suppose another great moment was being at the finish line,( in the cold rain) as our favorite "competitors" crossed the line..( I have pic's but don't know how to post them) The GD's were very supportive,and it was fun after the race too
Hey.... Our Congrats to the "Racer'S" I'm told ,Ken's time qualify's him for both the Bosten and NY races,I wouldn't be surprised if he continued training in either place...what the hell ,go for it... I'm not sure what Joeannski's qualification would get you....
Miami Beach is unbelievable,the hi rise condo's knocked my socks off
I'll bet ,if it had been warmer, and I had my thong on,there would have been some sights to see on the beach too By the way, who had a snoring problem...?? I slept like a baby,once you guy's stopped giggling
one last note... The train north almost clobbered a car stuck on a crossing somewhere in SC....we sat for 2 hr's while that problem was corrected, it resulted in a 4 hour delayed arrival...I still it beats waiting to be "DEICED" for 10 hours...

I have not been on in a while, back to normal, heat back up and running, and was able to have my All Day Crop on Sunday.

Car died yesterday, now it's in the shop and I am driving this UGLY Chevy HHR. Briana ought to love her ride to school tomorrow...she might just want to take the bus Briana has a cheer competition tomorrow out in NJ.

Other than that, all is quiet here.

Only LUCY would think of you gals during my MRI last night....I almost started laughing....OK, I've never had one of these before, and I never want one if they would need to put me all the way in that machine....my face was out of the machine...anyway, the story.
They put earphones on you so you are distracted by the loud banging, vibrations, noises. After it was over, took 30 minutes, the technician asked me if I was OK...I said I only had ONE complaint....the machine made TOO much noise during Barry Manilow's "I write the songs"....honestly girls, that song came on!....BOY, did that make me smile and think of all of you

Sounds like NOT a great weekend for me...Saturday morning we must help make sandwiches at the high school, for a music fundraiser, sadly enough Saturday afternoon I must have an appt. with a funeral director for my mom, funerals must be planned when a person is in a nursing home....isn't that depressing?
Sunday we are supposed to have icy weather......not a great weekend for me.

John just called all excited. Our HS boys basketball team just completed a perfect 20-0 season. The Indy news stations were there and all. I haven't gone this year. I didn't go when they lost, so I certainly won't start riding the bandwagon now! I hate when people do that!!!

Our big news of the day.........Mallory has been selected to model in an American Girl Fashion Show in Cincinnati. I took her for an audition last month and really didn't expect anything. But, she was selected. She has a fitting and photo shoot in March, then the show is in late April. It's a fundraiser for a children's medical assistance program called Aubrey Rose Foundationhttp://aubreyrose.org/ She is SO EXCITED! Mark and I have mixed emotions. Neither of us are fond of these kinds of things, but the child loves the stage, so I guess I am doing her a disservice not to include her.

I was relieved to see that they showed last week's Grey's first last night. Mark had set the DVD recorder wrong before we left for LV, so we didn't get to see it! What did you guys think? It was full of surprises!!

Off to Cincy in the morning to get my car worked on. Hold the boards down!

For pete sakes, girl, you were AT LEAST exercising, while I'm sitting on my big fat duff with a very painful knee/leg .....BUT, I'm worried about Ken, why are you NOT feeding that poor boy....I may need to report you!!!!!

NO news from doctor, Jenny. The MRI was only taken at 8:30 Thursday night, but I'm in such pain right now ...probably all about the bad weather we are getting Sunday/Monday ...let me know what 'you got' so I know what 'we are getting' JoAnnster MAY have a delay on Monday....and Tyler Now I must start worrying, and I do every minute, about Bryan driving in "it"...ah, hospital classes don't cancel He worked in the intensive care yesterday for a few hours, but back to classroom again for a few days.

NO, I didn't watch Gray's Anatomy, nor did I tape it....oldest son and I were 'having it out at the time' and I was stubborn and went to bed I'm SURE none of you know what that is like!

Got my car fixed....finallly. Just got home. We got a little sleet and rain last night. Today is just ugly and dreary. Sleepy weather. The kids and I slept on the way home (Mark actually drove, a rare thing...I like to drive). He's asleep now watching Ohio State and Wisconsin basketball (#1 and #2 in the country).

I don't anticipate in schedule changes here as far as delays tomorrow.

We leave for WDW and spring training in 12 days!!!

After the day I had today at work............I'LL TAKE BRYAN AND TYLER!!!

Wow, JenJen, I didn't realize how soon you are escaping........everyone's going to WDW except us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I finally got my homelife in order (maybe) AND NOW I'M GETTING FIRED TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, we're giving state assessments and for some reason, I'M THE ONLY TEACHER IN THE SCHOOL WHO IS AWARE THAT WE ARE OUT OF COMPLIANCE........long story short..........Ken & I are moving to Florida...........WAY AHEAD OF TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Wish me luck, I'll be meeting with the "chief" tomorrow at 12:30pm.

Actually, Lynn, I need some advice, could you call me (JKJKJKJKJKJK)
