Hey! July 30,2005 Cruise to Mexico Reunion Thread

Have a sip for me! WTG!!!! How exciting!
I know, I'm guardedly excited (it HAS to be better than Germany!) It's a short trip but for how much I saved, it's worth it (plus I can't get off any more time than that....):cool1:

I left the game in the 5th as it was COLD!! The damp air made it feel miserable. Since I went home yesterday with a sinus infection I thought it might be better to get inside. So, I brought the kids back to the hotel, got them some hot chocolate, and now we are wam and comfortable!:lovestruc Oh yeah, we were getting beat too.....go ahead and abuse me now Phillies fans!

I have no idea what happened with the game, but can you believe you're still getting sick?:confused3 I was outside last week with that soccer clinic and my ear has hurt all week..............ridiculous...................we need warm weather!! Tara has taken off, I'm still waiting to hear about her arrival, she should be there by now.......I'll keep you posted...........:surfweb:

I went to my mom at the nursing home last night, tried to find the game on the channel scheduled, and there was a stupid wrestling thing on....couldn't find the game on any channel and i assumed it was cancelled (rain)...
man, am i upset she couldn't see it.

NOW, today i'm doing that grocery demo thing from 10-4 and can't turn on the game for her (this is the only thing she has a problem with - knowing how to find a channel, it is sad). I was on my hands and knees last night cleaning the guest bathroom for this sleepover...MAN, did i ever damage my knees and hand that i had surgery on....i am in great pain and must be on my feet all day long.

Gotta check on-line who won the game last night.....

 Sorry Lu, remember what I told you before..........now go hug the kids.................:goodvibes :confused3

Tara has landed, she didn't sleep on the plane so she's alittle loopy, she said her new "flatmates" are nice and helpful and she's shopping for a pillow right now. She's meeting her good friend from Miami (really NYC but she met her in Miami Ad school) for dinner and I know she'll be really psyched to see her.

We had quite a few tears on the way to the airport, apparently, Jeremy and she had a tearful goodbye. (It's starting to seem a little serious) Now, she wants me to buy her a RT flight to Chicago in May so she can see him for his Bday (are we the biggest suckers, you've ever met in your life?)........:confused3 I told Ken we're not doing it but he already promised her while she was crying!:headache: :rolleyes1

Hope your day gets better (it's supposed to be 60 degrees today!) Have fun Jen!

Dad can't get on for some reason, I'll probably see him today (and try to fix his computer again!)popcorn::

I'll look after my adopted daughter don't you worry Joann, you can save her airfare and go to Italy to see Tracy instead!!!!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Weather is good at present but we're expecting snow and sleet this week sorry Tara!!!!

Thanks, Lynn, I do appreciate it!:grouphug:

Hey all! Man I totally crashed. Mark and Marshall slipped out and went to breakfast and Mallory and I were totally unaware life existed!

Another game against the Phillies today. Maybe my Reds can come through this time.

Have Tara check in and let us know how her "London experiene" is. I have thoroughly enjoyed her "German Rants"! I'd say that with Lynn and Keith in England, Tara is "at home" now! That has to be a relief knowing someone is there "acorss the pond" if she needs something! Not to worry now Joann!

I feel for the kids being apart. We lived apart for 7 months during our courship (about 3 hours apart) and it was hard. I can't imagine being in a DIFFERENT COUNTRY than my beau. But, as they say, "it does make the heart grow fonder". They will definitely know the strength of their relationship now......

BTW - check out my new/few entries in my blog from Spring Break and Opening Day of baseball.

It appears next weekend we are going to my MIL/FIL. I get off at 11:30 on Friday, so I am just taking the day. We are going to leave Thursday night. They live just about 1-1 1/2 hours out of Pittsburgh, so Mark, the kids and I might go over and see the Reds play one evening. Mark really misses his mother. She is still fighting an infection in her foot and may lose it. She is really missing the kids, so it really works out nice for everyone.

O.k. Can't you all just see Lucy hanging out in the grocery store pushing pound cake? Or like the lady in the granola commercial accosting the poor hiker in the middle of the woods as she pushes her cart down the trail???:lmao: :lmao: So how was "social time" today Lucy???

haven't been in touch this weekend
i'll explain why tonight
off to work

jenny - it was butter and bread i gave out (BORING) - needless to say, noone wanted it

today onion dip and chips - better

sleepover is over for this weekend (another one next weekend) - no cops, that i know of

i was totally exhausted from being on my feet 7 hours yesterday
same today
i crashed about 10:00 last night after folding laundry - making snacks, giving lectures to boys, and threatening them

made them monkey bread this morning
heading off
this job is NOT for me - only committed to 4 more times in the store and that's it!
like working at schools much better!

Sorry, Lucy.....it sounds tiring...... Jess is home, Tara's in England, it's been much easier communicating with her so far. Hope all are well today!

We've had the strangest day I woke up to 4 inches of snow and a blizzard. then later in the morning we had hail and then by teatime there was no snow left not a cloud in the sky and I served afternoon tea in the garden to some friends who called in!!!!!

I've just started 2 weeks off of school
We'll be in Disneyland Paris next weekend.

Jenny you are not funny when I go back I have 13 and a half more weeks to work until the end of the year.
I get one more week off in May I work 5 weeks have a week off and then work 71/2 weeks.... 5 weeks it's not right!!!!

Jenny has a great schedule.....we have about 10 weeks to go........

I'm sick of cold air....no more winter!!!:goodvibes (Tara's flatmates made her tea when she got there!);) How's LuLu today?

is hurting again...her knees are swollen from standing all day
(wonder why my mouth doesn't hurt from talking all day:lmao: :lmao: )

it is only 7:30 and i'm headed to bed with an Advil PM...and a good book.

We made it thru the sleepover....i warned the boys that most of them have been grounded by parents (all but one---the boys and I were trying to figure out a way to get this kid in trouble so he would fit in with the group....
I'm so bad!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: ) in the last three months and they don't need to act stupid tonight and be grounded again because parents eventually find out what they do (as one kid shook his head 'no':scared1: :scared1: ).

This morning i made them monkey bread for the boys before I went to work. Now next weekend is another sleepover but there are only 2-3 boys that are very good kids that only care about video games and could care less about making trouble. Then tyler officially turns 16 (this Wednesday) - he hasn't been talking about going for his permit at all...my theory? it would be just another test where he would need to study:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

We only have 44 more days of school!:woohoo: :woohoo:

I feel so much better that Tara is in England and close to Lynn and Keith:hug:

Darn Phillies:furious: :furious: :furious: :furious:

Well, I'm glad Dday is over for you, Lu...and Dnight for that matter...16, yikes!

Yes, Tara is getting settled, her first day is tomorrow....think of her, I hope she does well.......:thumbsup2

Jess is home, she's decided we need to go to US this summer, if I ever book it....I know we're moving to a condo to pay for everything!:confused3

Of course TrayTray is home, doing wash, going food shopping, no breaks around here.......:cool1:

Tomorrow night another parents' meeting for the soccer team.......:cool1:

At least the next :) 10 weeks should go quickly.......:scared:

and tired! But, the weather today was spectacular. It was one of those days where the sky was beautiful and the air smelled so fresh! Perfect baseball weather.....

Now it's :laundy: time. We have to be packed and ready to leave Thursday night after my P/T conferences end at 7:30 for the 6 hour drive to the MIL/FIL. I am getting too old for this lifestyle!!!:rolleyes1

It was a SPECTACULAR spring day today!:hippie: I actually enjoyed recess duty today for a change! It was 70 degrees and a beautiful blue skies.

I just wish the "blooming" season was over so my allergies would quit driving me nuts!:rolleyes1
