high school has the terra-novas (sp?) and elementary has something starting with a PS.....whatever. This is what i worked on last week at the high school - organizing the terra novas.

Did SOMEONE forget to tell the Phillies and the Reds these were REAL games today and not practices! :furious:

Joannster: Terra Nova's are high school state-wide tests (the ones before the SAT's.....) NOW I must reschedule an orthodontist appt. I made for Tyler six weeks ago (for this Wed.)....kids are NOT allowed out of school during testing unless it is an emergency. :sad2:

Today was positively depressing - cold and wet, the entire day. :sad1:

Day one of six state testing is over..........not too bad......

Actually, pretty funny, a kid came in with a two foot pencil and asked if he could use it today.....you have to laugh at that stuff!! :rotfl2:

Hope all are well, Jess is packing for WDW tonight......so jealous!! toorrow is supposed to beautiful around here............ :thumbsup2

and I am NOT laughing :furious:

for the 3rd time in a row this season, I just finished chasing recycling items all over the street, plastic and this time also glass :furious:

I apologize Mr. Earth, but until this wind STOPS, it must go in the garbage....what is a person to do except sit outside with her recycling till the truck comes by (i am fortunate to have recycled my cardboard and newspapers this morning)....this is NOT fun, but I'm sure the neighbors are having a great time watching me (also picking up THEIR items) :scared1:

Well, for Tyler's 16th birthday, next week, he wants TWO sleepovers :scared1:

One this weekend with certain friends
and one next weekend with other friends
Bob and I HATE sleepovers, but it is cheaper than a huge party (which we offered him, like his brother's party, but he said he doesn't like them)
Next weekend I'm looking forward to - only 3 guys who play video games the entire time

this weekend is another story.....WILD bunch (nice kids though), but I must sleep downstairs this weekend by the front door in case someone in our neighborhood shows up (the ONE who threw a party while we were in Chicago)...he is no longer invited to any of the kid's parties, so i don't trust him to show up at our front OR back door. :sad2:

This Saturday also is when I'm one of those cute

I had one of those days! I was everywhere running around! Dental appts, meetings, ec.

Marshall's class went this afternoon to hear Bill Clinton speak on the campaign trail. He was at Assembly Hall, where IU plays basketball. They didn't get back until after 6 p.m. because he was so late in arriving. Marshall said he was glad he got to see him since he had been a president, but it was BORING! :rotfl2:

It was a good experience for him. He has now seen TWO presidents, Clinton and Bush 43. That's pretty good for a kid! Mark and John have seen 41 and 43. Mallory and I have only seen 43.

So what's on everyone's agendas for the weekend?? Yes, we see the Phillies on Friday-Sunday. I am not expecting too much! How long is Tara home still JoJo? What is everyone doing? Is Bob working this weekend, Lucy?

Sleepovers???????? I DO NOT do sleepovers!! I hated them as a kid! :lmao:

Tara is leaving Friday night, she's flying to London overnight.......still working on affording visiting her.......it will take some creative financing! :scared1:

Then we're going to visit Ken's brother, Friday night....that should be fun......Jess is in WDW until late Saturday night, so we have one free day! :woohoo:

I finally went to the doctor today. My allergies were out of control and I developed a sinus infection! YECK! I got an allergy shot and some antibiotics. Mark and John were complaining about something smelling in the house and I have no clue what it is!!! :confused3

Heading to Cincinnati tomorrow after work for the Phillies/Reds game. It's supposed to be nice.....in the 60s this weekend! :dance3:

Not sure it I am taking the laptop....we'll see...

Miracle of miracles.......I booked London (but no Rome).........just for Memorial Day weekend, I was able to save more than half of the price of the airfare with membership miles as well..........it will just be Sat - Mon, a very short trip, but that's all I can do b/c Tara will be home before the end of the school year! :confused3

I'm going to tea in England!!! :cloud9:

I'll be looking for Mary and Bert at the park and we'll be flying kites........and riding carousel horses....... :thumbsup2
