Hey DL Pros...tell me your fave DL & DCA eats

ADRs can be made up to 60 days in advance. Call 714-781-DINE. For BB, it is recommended that you make an ADR as soon as you know when you'll be dining there. They do fill up.

As for the comparison with San Angel, it is dark and boats are floating by, but the atmosphere is not quite the same. It has a bayou feel, with fireflies and croaking frogs.

Oh, thank you! Fireflies & croaking frogs? Sounds perfect for us. My daughter tends to get a bit nervous on Pirates in WDW...but it's interesting because she wants to like it because her brothers both love it. This place sounds like it will suit her, as she will not actually be on the ride. Then, we can take turns riding and she will feel like she still had a distant pirate experience.

*Carnation Cafe on Main Street: Loaded Baked Potato Soup(delicious creamy soup..tastes exactly like the name implies), Chicken Pot Pie (served hot and yummy), and Pomegrante Light Lemonade (refreshing and not too sweet and not too tart either)
*Cafe Orleans in New Orleans Square: Monte Cristo Sandwiches(greasy salty savory with a touch of sweet thanks to powdered sugar and berry dipping sauce), Mickey Beignets(deep fried dough doused with so much powdered sugar you gotta be careful not to inhale deeply when you take a bite! love the 2 dipping sauces: one taste like melted vanilla bean ice cream and the other is a berry dipping sauce), Pomegranate Light lemonade here, too! :)
*Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen: bag of fresh hot beignets! yum, beware the piping hot hot chocolate...I'd leave this out with the lid off for 20 minutes to take the scorch off of it
*Corn Dogs: I usually get mine from the cart by the Plaza Inn at the end of Main Street. The soft drinks there aren't great(I think the mixture is off or something), but I like the dogs
*Mickey Pretzels by the Coke Corner with cheese dipping sauce
*Rainforest Cafe in DTD also has really good burgers and fries. The mixed drinks are tasty, too

It sounds like we have similar taste...Cafe Orleans & Ralph Brennan's are on my list! Thanks for the detailed descriptions...I am practically drooling.

your drooling..HA you should of seen the "foaming at the mouth" i did when i saw the RBJK menu!

If you want to maximize the POC connection, when you check in to be seated request a "waterside" table (one of the 12 tables right next to the water). If there is an additional wait (usually is) you will be quoted an estimated wait time - sometimes it's 30-45 minutes, sometimes it is "right now" so it's always worth asking. If you want to be sure of waterside seating with no wait, make your reservation for 11:30 am, check in by 11:15 and request waterside seating.

We did this for our lunch but we were told to check in even earlier! We ended up checking in about 11 for our 11:30 lunch reservation. We did get a waterside table and the atmosphere is amazing.

Okay, then I am definitely going the early check-in route!
Thanks :goodvibes

I wish there was a place where menus from DL & DCA were posted...like the way all WDW menus are on the ALLEARS site...*sigh*

Lorelai, maybe I'm missing something, but they do have the DL and DCA menus at allears.net... in the disneyland section. (I tried posting a link, but it wouldn't let me because I don't have a post count of 10 or greater yet.)
