Hey! I went to the Aloft when I went on the Disney Wonder on March 27th and loved it! Just wanted to know if anyone else had been in there aswell lately and wanted to know how you guys liked it too! I am also headed on the July 17th Wonder and hope my same counslers will be onboard!

I've never been in The Aloft, but The Stack, in my opinion, wasn't all that great. The only thing The Stack was cool for was meeting people... After the first night I pretty much just hung out with everyone on Decks 9+10. We also chilled in the Deck 7 Aft since no one ever goes there... :teeth:

The aloft reminds me more of just like a "Hang out," (states the name) and it had a very comfortable atmosphere so I hung out there more then I had previously in Common Grounds when I was 13, but now I am 14 and found the aloft to be a much cooler place. There was a room in the back where there were bean bags and listening stations all around. There was also a place where you could get sodas. My friends and I had fun playing Dance Dance Revolution and going downstairs to where there was another section of Quartermasters and we played the Dance game down there aswell. They gave us free hats in the end and all of us wore them the last night. We too also had fun walking around deck 9 and 10. We would also go on "caffine runs" if we were bored, where we would go and get soda and then bring them up to the Aloft. To me in the pictures, the Stack reminds me of more like a dance club, is that how it really is or does it resemble the Aloft?

Cuz... the aloft has parties at 12 every night and that's a dance club.
I didn't think the aloft was a hang-out spot cuz of the cussing rules and the PDA rule and all the other stuff... When I was on my cruise they didn't have DDR... which I am a master at =) I'm like one of those crazee azns (that's what they call themselves) who can do all of teh songs with AAA's backwards... lol I'm learing to do the songs backwards but so far i can only di it on standard, not heavy....

But anyways The Stack really wasn't all that great...

Hey! Well what I meant by dance club was like the lights and everything but not so much the couches and posters, brick walls, and other stuff like that. There wasn't a party every night there, only two if I remember correctly. The one maxium capacity and the one at the end of the cruise, but I may be wrong. This was my 5th time on the cruise and the same rules applied for us as in CG as were in the aloft. It didn't really bother the teens who were mostly in there when I was, out of the 220 registered on the ship (One of the largest numbers, but it was a packed cruise being Easter and Spring Break). In there we had 6 PS2s, Dance Extreme and DDR2(Which I have at home) and we also had a challenge for an hour during our day at sea. One of my friends decided to put his foot on heavy while I was on the mat and I wasn't so great at it, even though I usually get AA on standard at home. lol. But I have been practicing for my upcoming cruise and maybe I can do heavy by then, hopefully. :) Congrats on your triple A's, I got the game in December and haven't really gotten to that level yet! Funny thing is, I still talk to all of my friends from the cruise and since then they have all gotten DDR for themselves to play at home hehe! I am sorry to hear the stack wasn't that great, and I was going to go on the Magic this summer because I am from FL and since my school gets out May 27 we were not able to go on the repositioning cruise and since the West Coast cruise does not go to Castaway Cay we voted out of that lol. So now were headed back on the wonder for our 6th time and this time it isn't just going to be my mom and I but the whole family of my aunt, uncle, cousin (8), and my grandparents who I had to warn ahead of time I may be up in the Aloft most of the time lol. Did you participate in Wild Side on Castway Cay, when I was there I had and it was alot of fun just to let you know! :teeth:

If your having trouble moving from standard to heavy like I was when I started, picka fast song (175 BPMS and up) and beat it on light 3 times, standard 3 times, then try over an dover till you beat it on heavy. The more heavy song you play, you'll notice the slower ones are the harder ones... I have the X-box version of the game, so I don't know if it has the same songs, but My first song I passed on Heavy was "Candy." Also, on the ps2 version, do you have to unlock certain songs like MAX 300, and Paranoia Rebirth (I know you have Paranoia Eternal... it's on every DDR game I've seen *fun song*)

And on getting triple A's i can only do that on light, double A on standard, and single A on heavy... I've been talking so much now I have do go play it! LOL

And about Wildside... I've only been a teen on the cruise once and a hurricane forced us to miss Castaway Cay... But it was for the better since we got 1/2 off our next cruise which was the repo cruise! its like 9 grand for my fam of 6 to go on it... and i missed 2 weeks of school \/\/o0t \/\/o0t

btw... 9 grand is the cost of a family of 4 to go on a 4 day cruise

Hey! Thanks for all the tips about DDR I'll try that out and see if it works doing the 3 songs on each level. I don't know how to unlock certain songs so I don't know if those songs are there or not, sorry though. That really stinks you missed Castaway Cay, and we came close to that because it took us an extra hour to dock becuase of the wind. It's cool you got a discount on your next cruise and usually being FL residents and since it is usually just my mom and I we can get good rates, like half the price for the western cruise! Though we haven't gotten FL rates the last time and this time coming up! That's also cool you got to miss 2 weeks of school!

But the next time you go on the cruise, I totally recommend Wild Side, it is the only excursion I did since I like to usually stay on the ship in Nassau, but this time I ended up getting off and went shopping. And it's alot of fun and you get to go snorkeling, biking, and kahaking ( which we didn't get to do becuase of the wind) There was alos a speed boat excursion at Nassau where you go with the teens and counslers on a boat and take a tour of the island also you can look out for dolphin spottings, but iI did not get to do this because of technical difficulties.

I was gunna do teh wildside thing anyway, but now it sounds even better! Hopefully I get a good workout to cuz we can't go 2 the gym on the ship... gheyness! I guess I'll have to settle to running laps around the ship lol

Hey! It's really cool you are doing Wild Side! Just to let ya know, when my friends and I weren't in the Aloft we would have fun walking around Deck 4! It's a mile if you walk around it either 3 or 4 times (sorry I forgot) and I would even walk it during the day if I had nothing else todo! While walking we would talk, dance, and do other stuff like that to have fun! :) P.S. the time in which we would usually walk was around 11pm so there were only a couple of other people there, plus there are deck chairs with cushions so we would take breaks and relax for a few minutes too!

I'm going on the Magic in Oct. and I can't wait to go to the stack. Can anyone tell me more about it? Is anyone going in Oct.?

Hey PG Sweetie, I am sorry but I can't help you out with this one because I have never been in the Stack, but I am sure the activities are not much different than those in the Aloft! Have fun on your cruise and I hope you find your answer!

If you're going on the magic make SURE you are there the majority of the first day if you want to "hook up" with anyone since, by what I've found, nearly all the guys are immature, and the mature ones have g/f's the first day... the last 3 times I've went on the DCL, I got a g/f the first day and was pretty much the only couple till the last day and we were the only ones that had any, um, "fun."

If you don't plan to "hook up" with someone, The Stack has a alot of stuff going on, including constant movies, Playstion 2's, Art stuff, Cards, and dances in the night.

I highly recommend "hooking up" with someone since we could go see movies, plays, etc together and pretty much do whatever we wanted. You could always do all this with a group but group dating in pretty boring in my opinion...

i just got back from my 4 day cruise, and it was lots of fun. i did'nt do any of the excursions, but still did alot. in aloft you got mp3 listening stations, 6 plasma displays for watching movies, music videos and playing ps2, they got 2 computers loaded with games, and an interner cafe computer you have to pay to use (75 cents a minute). the counsellors i had were great, and we did lots of fun little trivia stuff. we had 2 dance parties, and we did kareoke one night (although the song selection sucks) there's lots more to do, i found that 4 days was'nt enough.
