I didn't choose to be homosexual.
im 14 and found out at about 10 that i was different. when someone explained what homosexuality to me i knew that i was gay.
i think its horrible that some people verbally bash homosexuals for something that we didnt have a choice over.

How do you coach someone at chess? I've never played it competitively - are you allowed to give instruction during the match? Or just in between?

Just in between. The main way to help them is to review their recorded game with them. (There's a shorthand method for writing down the moves). I also give them instructional material at practice.

I would love to coach them during the match -- the old SNL skit with John Belushi comes to mind.

It's horrible when people bash ANYBODY who doesn't have a choice about what they are, or a situation they're in. I'm pretty sure you'll find plenty of "protectors" around.

To the OP: I've always wondered this question. I mean, if you think about it, take away the prefixes 'bi', '****', 'hetero', you're left with 'sexuality', and, if one is a birth 'right', then why isn't the other, when it's all the same?
