He's coming home and we're going to the World! Aug 2011

We have a reservation at Hollywood & Vine for 8am. (debating on keeping it)
Head over to TSMM for FP and to ride it back-to-back with the whole family. Then we will walk over to ToT and ride with child swap, grabbing a FP if our window is open. Head around to the new Disney Junior show and see the characters. Hoping this is time for the LMA show and we can go straight over to that.
Grab a snack, maybe a CS lunch. Go to RnRC for child swap, but let dh and dd ride it twice. Then try to get one more ride on for ToT.
Is the parade worth staying for?
Take a break mid afternoon back to the resort to swim and cool off, change for the evening, and eat at POP. Then plan on going back to HS for a night time ride of ToT. Anything else we could do in the evening? It is not a Fantasmic night.

I think your plans sound good. I've never been to the new parade at DHS but we enjoyed the old one a couple of trips ago. Since it's a non Fantasmic night you may want to check over at the Animation Building in the late afternoon, on non Fantasmic nights they sometimes have lots of different characters in there. We are going to try this on our first day at DHS, I am crossing fingers that we'll get to see some that we've never seen, like some villians!

Hey Holly! Hopping over from my July PTR! popcorn::popcorn:: Yours right now, I might have you email me a packing list as mine is written out on my grocery list tablet and not very organized at all :rotfl2:

Tusker House for Breakfast~ So very very good. Be warned though, you mostly get your interaction with Donald outside before they take you to your table. They take your picture with him, take you inside to your table, take your drink order and leave you to brave the HUGE breakfast buffett! There are lots of good things on the menu though and I dont think anyone in your family will be unhappy. The jungle juice is sooo good though!

WCC~ I've done breakfast and lunch here and will be doing them again on this trip. I can tell you the lunch skillet was AWESOME! The cornbread was like a light and airy cake and left me wanting more and more (although there were other good things as well that made it impossible to only eat the cornbread). The potatoes are mashed redskin taters with some of the skin left on and need little to no flavorings as they are perfectly salted and peppered! Kids can get shakes and they are bottomless (if they spill they will bring another one out in a "Spill proof" cup) and are very yummy! Make sure to arrive early to wander around the WL and take it all in.

Ohana~We've done both breakfast and dinner here! The pineapple bread is DIVINE as well as the POG juice (tastes similar to the Jungle juice they serve at Tusker House). They will keep bringing you food so long as you ask for it too. Normal Disney fare of waffles, bacon, sausage, eggs, potatos, fruit though but it's all very good!

Cant really comment on the others though but HTH :thumbsup2

HS~ Take your kiddo's to let off some steam at the Honey I shrunk the kids playground! There are things that squirt water and if you touch the huge dog's nose it "sniffs". Have some fun on the Streets of America. I havent heard to many good things about CS in HS though. When we do it in the morning we are going to take a break and either go to the Poly for CS or eat at Roaring Forks for lunch. The only thing I havent really done at HS is do The Great Movie Ride, ODD found out they have an animation class and she wants to try that one out so we might just have one of us go with her.

Hi, glad to have you jump over to read,
Happy to do that (packing list) for you, no problem.

Thanks for the heads up about interaction with Donald being more before the meal than during. dh is really on the fence about it so maybe we will cancel it

Hi Tracy and Bill! I am enjoying your pretrippie too!
I am so excited to go back to Disney, dh had said not this year, but then his deployment got extended 90 days and he really wanted a family vacation, so where else would i ask (beg, cry, demand) to go?

Animal Kingdom! I love this park!
Tusker House reservation for 10:10 (dh wants to cancle this and I am leaning that way also)

Enter at rope drop and send dh to EE for fast passes while kids and I walk to safari, meet him at entrance and ride KS. Do the Jungle Trek while we are there. Depending on the heat, may go ahead and ride KRR on our way to EE. Ride with child swap, and check time on fp to ride again.

Want to do Rafiki's Planet Watch, train ride, Conservation Station, etc. as we have never explored this corner before. Lunch over at Restaurantasaurus. Play time in the boneyard for the kiddos. Check the time for the Nemo musical. We really enjoyed it last time.

Back to fp for EE and ride KRR. Maybe ride the safari again if I can convince them to wait in the line (my favorite ride, can you tell?).

We want to do the meet and greet trails. Plus any characters we come across. Do not plan on sitting down and seeing the parade. Call it a day here and go back to resort to swim if time, change for dinner. Head to Epcot for Teppan Edo and stay for Illuminations.

Great to-do list.

Is it really worth doing the pre-order of the photopass CD? I wonder if the fact that we will not be travelling with children would make a difference if they are likely to take our pictures or not?:confused3

Spring Break is going great!
The weather has been nice with just a little bit of sprinkles today, but that didn't keep us down. Mini report this weekend after we get back!

We like the photopass so we can get family photos without asking for some stranger to snap one and hope it is a good one.

Spring Break is winding down already, unbelievable. We gearing up to travel tomorrow to spend Easter with the rest of my family. Looking forward to Sunrise service, what a great tradition.

pictures when I get home of a little of our trip

We did the train and conservation station. Dh and I enjoyed the surgery going on. DDs were disappointed in the "petting zoo" area...I don't think I would recommend doing this if you are short on time.

My girls loved Teppan Edo.

What is Hobby Lobby? I'm curious...

We have the same fans. We were good with using one as a family. Plenty of water fountains to fill up. I suggest the sharpie with your name.

Were you able to take advantage of the current ticket promo going on for military? I saw it on Disney's site under promos yesterday.

How old will your kids be during the trip? I am thinking that you might want to cancel (if you didn't) the H&V ressie unless your son is really into those characters.

Also, you can ask the photopass photographer to use your camera in addition to the picture on the photopass card. I have found that the ones on my camera are just as good as the photopass ones. One photographer even took pics of a horse with my camera while waiting for the transportation to go by. =)

Hey there, I've been busy with the kids home for Spring Break and just catching up on everyones reports. Plans for MK sound great, Splash is one of my favorites too!

Great find on the fans, I saw those the other day at Walmart and meant to pick up one, we have 2 WDW ones but with 4 kids they tend to fight over them so I want to get at least one more fan and I don't want to spend the $18 or whatever it is now in the parks for one! I picked up a little water mister thing at Target last week for $2:50 that it pretty cool but when I went yesterday to get more they were gone.

Glad your enjoying your Spring Break, it has been rainy alot this week so my kids are driving me a bit stir crazy:upsidedow Hope you are having a great weekend and can't wait to see pictuures!
