Oh my gosh, I did not know you were doing this! I will be at Hershey with my family for my DDs 13 bday get together. She is bringing 3 friends. So if you see a short lady chasing 4 big kids and a 6 year old, please yell "Hi Erin1700!!!!"

We went to HPark 2 years ago, 2 days after Christmas, staying at the lodge and had an awesome time relaxing
We love the lodge, i'd love to go back but have a credit at another hotel i'd love to use, as to not lose it before January

This year, we were thinking of leaving on Christmas Day - but we are staying at the BW Eden in Lancaster and thinking of doing 2 nights, PROBLEM IS, not much is open in regards to Christmas dinner - no, i don't blame anyone for being off and spending time w/ their families, so.. i have an issue.

Should I stay home the extra night and only do 1 night in the area and do sweet lights and candylane at Hershey?

Suggestions pls?

I wouldn't leave until the day after if I were you if places being closed is an issue. If you do that, you'd be more flexible to do the two days/nights you originally had planned. Did you consider something closer to the Hershey area as well? There are plenty of hotels/motels in and around Hershey, if you're not looking at the Lodge. Whatever you do, have fun!

I actually considered closer to Hershey - but I have a hotel credit at the Eden that I want to take advantage of.. I have to use it before January 2014.

I REALLY want to go to Hersheypark next year, along with Six Flags Great Adventure! This silly girl wants to ride all the roller coasters!
Maybe both on the same trip...nah, probably not happening.

Attention to all PA DIS-er's who are planning on attending Hersheypark's Springtime in the Park seasonal event:

I'll be having a meet-up on opening day, April 12th, 2014. We'll meet as a group outside Chocolate World at 9 a.m. Hoping there will be some DIS-er's attending that day, would love to meet up with others who have the same interest in Disney and parks!

Wish they were open during the week

Unfortunately, that's how it is right now with a lot of the seasonal parks. Weekday operations won't begin going into full swing closer to Memorial Day weekend. However you guys could still come out and make a long weekend of it. If you were to visit Hershey on the 12th, there is still plenty to see and do in the area, let alone Hershey as well.

Very true --- we have Monday and Tuesday only though --- not leaving until Monday early morning.

Reminder that this Saturday (4/12) is the "Springtime In The Park" meet-up.

Time: 9:00 a.m. outside Chocolate World - we plan to do the Chocolate World ride first and then make our way down to the gates.

Park hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. this day.
