Hershey Park and Armish Country?

sight and sound is worth the trip in itself.....one of the best things I/ve ever seen.:goodvibes

I've heard this is awesome! Quite a production they put on (so I hear)...it's pretty pricey though..would y'all still recommend it for the price and the length of the show?

When we went last summer they had a family ticket special, we paid $99 plus tax i think for 2 adults, 1 teen , 1 child. It was so worth it, and the people were nice, they seem to be very genuine also, the folks putting it on even offered to pray with anyone who wanted prayer after it was over. The gift/ concession items were also more reasonable than I expected. We drove up there from Gettysburg, and we went to the QVC outlet and other shops in Lancaster area that day, then went there for the evening.I think we are going to Myrtle Beach this summer instead, because we are a little worried w/ the oil spill, that eventually the beach might be affected...but I keep saying"but I really was anxious to see Sight nSound again"...lol..so yes I think it is worth it totally. Check their website for specials before you go.;)

You don't want to come and see them they aren't the greatest. Believe me i live around them but i live in ohio :headache:

Wow. That wasn't very nice.

I did both and had a great time. We camped inbetween Hershey and Lancaster County.

I enjoyed Lancaster County a lot. Very beautiful area.

we were just at Dutch Wonderland last week and the park was empty, it was great! My kids are 4 and 3 so for them it was great, my youngest couldn't go on a few rides but they had a blast. Your older kids will be bored and might be too tall to ride some of the rides. I wouldnt spend the money on that park. Hershey has lots to do and if you go to chocolate world you will fill your time better. have fun!

forgot to add that the other suggestions for lancaster area are great - and we love dutch wonderland but i do think your older kids would be bored. especially if they went to hershey first.

thinking of stopping ate hershey chocolate world for the tour on the way to somewhere else.... is it worth it? or is it boring? the kids are 11 and 17,and I don't know if they'd care about this, they have no interest in the park itself-
or,is there a really yummy buffet or restaurant that is 'authentic' to the area? like Dutch/Amish style, but we'll be heading thru on a Sunday,so I know 'real Amish' places won't be open, whats a good place for a great lunch?
