They did this on the resort board and I think it is hysterical. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=187537

I know there are some true literati out there who will jump on this...so here we go!

Dear DCL Agent,

Castaway Club member GoofyDisney here. Remember me! I cruised for my first time last fall. Oh yeah. The tall beautiful blonde, with the handsome husband and gorgeous daughter. You know...we sat at Sunny's table and had Salvatore three times in Palos. (He said to mention his name by the way.)

Well, we are coming back to the Magic. We'll be there Saturday. We would like to request the Walt Suite. I know it is usually booked a year in advance, but you wouldn't mind doing us this one little favor. And Christophe said that if we needed anything, we should just mention his name.

Yes, we can't wait to see the Walt Suite. Ava was our housekeeper last time, but since she worked on Deck 5 we might not see her again I am sure. She said to tell you hello!

We would also like to request that you go ahead and set up our Ressies now. Palos every night, kids in the nursery every night with Marianne, a massage every morning with Nicole.

Also we want Water Boy for the VCR, and we'll keep it all week. I hear its the tape everyone wants, Petro said it is really hard to come by.

We'll come by the terminal Saturday around 10 am. We would love to get on right then. If you could just tell Ray at the big Mouse ears that we want to be first, that would be great.

Can't wait to see you (insert name here) and all our close friends on the Disney Magic. Maybe you want to come on up to the room and we'll have Ana the photographer come and take a picture of our group by the piano. I am sure she won't mind since she practically followed us around the whole ship last time.

And lastly, if we could have all this using the same Fall Fantasy rates we got for our Cat 12 last year. That would be awesome. Capn Hans said he would have no problem cutting us a break since we were so nice and all!

Have a great day. See you Saturday!

Dear DCL agent,

We are very excited about our upcoming cruise on the Magic! This wil be our second cruise with DCL, and last year was wonderful.
To make this cruise even more magical, I have a couple of modest requests.

I love to take lots of video of our vacations, but found myself 'living through the viewfinder' last year. I was thinking; with so many photographers on board, could we have one assigned to take video of us all week? That way, I get to be in some of the video too! Make sure it's someone good - I hate amateur video.

Also, our kids felt overwhelmed in the lab last year, and never got to use the computers or the Playstation video games. Since we have a TV in our stateroom, can you have a Playstation hooked up in our room for us? A computer with internet access would be a nice plus also. Thanks.

We enjoy dressing up at dinner, and always conform to the ship's policy about formal nights, no shorts or tshirts, etc. Much to our dismay, alot of people ignore this policy. We found this disturbing and would like you to remove these non-conformists from the dining rooms so they do not distract us. Send them up to Topsiders where shorts are ok.

We are also avid pin traders but were not happy with the limited selection of pins on the CM's lanyards. They all had the same unwanted stuff. Please make a note for the week of our cruise to have all CM's stock their lanyards with limited edition and hard-to-find pins so we can do some trading. They don't need any junk on their lanyards as we have plenty of that to trade to them.

We also enjoyed the back to back days at sea on the Eastern cruise, but thought we would miss it on the Western, so could you please ask the captain to skip Key West or else just cruise slower so we can stay out at sea longer? Thanks.

I guess that's it for now. I imagine I'll think of other things as the time approaches, but let's just start slow with these small items.

Thanks for your help,

Beano and Family.

P.S. Don't forget to apply the Fall Fantasy rates to our booking!

Wow! You are guys are so imaginative.....these are really funny! :D

Dear Disney Cruise Line,

We are booked in connecting inside stateroom on the Disney Magic in October. We got a really great rate, but we are hoping for an upgrade. Since we will be on the Eastern itinerary, and everyone else seems to be taking the Western Itinerary that month, we figure the ship will be really empty. One of the cruisers in our group is a senior citizen who always hogs the bathroom, may we please request an extra gratis stateroom for her so the others in her room will not have to use our toilet? We also need to know our restaurant rotation in advance so we can be sure to choose upgraded outside cabins closest to the elevator that will serve the restaurant we will eat in the most, since she has mobility problems.

One of our cruisers is a 21 year old who hates any kind of strange food. Could you please notify the restaurants and have them put in a supply of Tonino's cheese pizza and applesauce. He will also occasionally eat geen iceburg lettuce and bottled Wishbone blue cheese dressing (NOT the chunky kind).

My two DSs are in two different age groups for the kids clubs, sometimes the clubs schedules do not mesh, plus there are activities that each wants to take part in that their age limits. Could you please contact me so we can rework the Kid's Personal Navigators so we can allow them to attend their favorite activities?

I also just do not see how we can make reservations for Palos and all the other special events, please have a concierge contact me in advance so we can schedule before we leave.

.......(all this sad but true...I wish......)

Dear DCL,

I am sorry to call back again so soon, but I forgot something. The last time we stayed at WDW was the week you cut park hours and did away with Early Entry. The employees were so depressed after you did this we did not get towel animals in our room for the rest of the week! Please make sure our cabin upgrades are in a GOOD towel maker area, plus our DSs would be thrilled to be chosen for the towel animal making "family of the day". We would also like to keep the towel animals, so be sure and leave lots of extra towels so we may do this. I figure it is the least you can do since one of my DS's favorite Teddy Bear was gathered up with the dirty sheets on a previous visit and never seen again, despite the heroic efforts of your lost-and-found department.

Dear Disney Cruise Line:
My request is just a small one, but I keep coming back to see if it has been fulfilled, and so far I'm afraid that it hasn't. Each time we return, I keep checking the door of stateroom 5650 to see if there is a plaque identifying it as the "Barb and Tony Suite." While Walt and Roy have been properly commemorated, the door of my favorite stateroom remains blank. Oh well, we will have to keep coming back monthly to check on the progress of my request...#21 in two weeks, and then we'll be checking the Magic in May (although it really only needs to be done on the Wonder).

Dear DCL Agent:

We will be returning to the Magic on July 6 and have a few minor requests. This being our first time on the Western side, we would like a personal guide to give us all the inside tips on doing our own shore excursions. If that is not available, we would like a discount of 50% off of all DCL sponsored excursions. The next request is quite simple. I am an avid movie fan and would appreciate having a bag of hot buttered popcorn with an ice cold soda waiting for me at the Buena Vista Theatre entrance within 10 minutes of movie start time. Of course after having that delicious snack, I will need to make arrangements with the ship's personal trainer to meet me in the spa for some vigorous workouts - please have him call me for times. My last request involves having my bags picked up the morning of disembarkment instead of the night before. It is an inconvenience to be without my luggage and I would hate to have an embarrassing moment, such as standing in line to leave the ship in my PJ's. I'm sure my fellow cruisers would appreciate the avoidance of such an incident also. Thank you for providing wonderful customer service.

Your Loyal Customer

Dear DCL,

We will be taking our first Disney Cruise on the Magic on May 4th. In anticipation of this momentous occassion, I was hoping that you could take care of a few, teensy weensy requests. Since you are Disney, I would think that these would be very easy for you to fulfill.

First of all, we'll be traveling with two small children. They get cranky when they have to wait in long lines, so we would like to board first. If we're not there early enough to board first, you can just let us skip to the front of the line when we get there. Since the kids will want to take a nap by 1:00, our room will need to be ready right away.

About our room...we booked a Cat. 5 guarantee and were really hoping we'd get upgraded. After all, we've got two small children and could really use the extra space a Cat. 4 - or better yet one of the Cat. 3 rooms - would provide for the pack and play. I'm not asking that you do anything out of the ordinary and upgrade us to the Walt or Roy suites (although that would be nice), just get us a bigger room that's close to the elevators and won't be too noisy. I hear that you'll feel less movement in the center of the ship, so we'd like to be midship. But, most of the stuff we'll be doing is aft, so we'd like to be on the aft side of midship. Since we've got the two young children with us, I'm assuming you'll make sure that there are non-smokers on either side of our verandah so that the children don't have to inhale second hand smoke.

There's some shore excursions that my husband and I would like to do, but we don't feel comfortable leaving our two small children in the nursery while we're off the ship, so we'd like to request that a CM come with us to provide babysitting while we're on the excursions. We'll let you know what shore excursions we'll be doing when we board the ship.

My husband and I just celebrated our 5 year anniversary at the time we booked this cruise, so we'd like to re-celebrate on the cruise. You can provide our complimentary bottle of champage when we dine at Palo on Wednesday evening. (You are making note that we want our Palo reservations on that night, right?) Since we're traveling with two young children, we'll need you to make reservations at Flounders for us as well.

Thank you for doing everything you can to make this cruise memorable. My two small children and I appreciate it!

Dear DCL agent, Walt and Roy,

I have addressed this letter to everyone in hopes you will get together and have a conference to approve all my requests. Disney is about "magic" and "dreams" and I think it is the perfect place for my daughter and I to make a memory to last a lifetime. I do have a few requests though, and I am sure you will have no problem meeting them once you understand my "circumstances".

I am a divorced mother of a 9 year old DD and we will be cruising on a 3 night Wonder trip in July. My poor DD's father hasn't bothered to see her since she was 8mths old. As you are aware, all cabins are price on double occupancy. This is quite an expense for a single parent, don't you think? I am currently working two jobs to pay expenses and keep my daughter in gymnastics. Did I tell you she is a competitve gymnast (we will get into that in a minute). Back to the subject at hand, pricing and cabins. I can't imagine my 9 year old will eat as much as two adults in a cabin. Because I have to pay the double occupancy status, I can only afford to book the lowest category cabin for us. Could you possibly go ahead and notify the Wonder that because of our circumstances (single parent, two jobs, etc) we will be upgraded to the Walt or Roy suite. I am not picky, either one will do. My daughter will be thrilled when she gets to invite her friends to our suite, it will be the one chance she will have to "show off" a little, if you know what I mean. It is hard for children of single parents. Having the help of the concierge will me this an enjoyable experience for me, I am so used to having to do EVERYTHING myself. I can leave all the details to the staff and just relax, they do accompany my DD everywhere, right???

If the Walt or Roy suites are not available for this cruise, we are flexible. An upgrade to the 7 day cruise in a Category 2 or 3 cabin, the same week would be acceptable. Of course, at no additional charge, remember, I am a single parent.

Okay, now on to the gymnastics part. As you know, gymnasts must train consistently to maintain their strength and stamina. This trip will take my DD away from practice for a time. I was thinking you could rearrange some things in the fitness center and have some gymnastics equipment installed for her. Of course, a qualified coach would be at her disposal to avert any injury situations. If the coach is hard to come by, I am sure one of HER coaches would be willing to accompany us if you could get us a complimentary cabin.

This will about do it for us, I won't ask for any "small" requests, I wouldn't want you to think I was asking for the MOON.

I know once you consider my "circumstances", you will agree these are only minor changes and will have no problem helping out.

Sincerely,

Two Job, Single Parent, READY FOR A VACATION!!!!!

WAY FUNNY!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait for more! :)
