Here's what a little PIXIE DUST can do ....... a dining review+pics COMPLETED!!!!!

Still Day 25, Sept 8

Dinner at Le Cellier

We stayed at DHS until the early afternoon, when the evening shower hit and we wet back to Old Key West.

In the evening we drove to Epcot for our dinner at Le Cellier. We were there about 40 minutes early and asked if we should sign in then and were told it was better to wait as they were already running late and we would not be seated before our ADR time. So we strolled the area for some time, then went to see the movie in the Canada Pavillion and about 10 minutes before our ADR time we signed in and decided to wait inside the restaurant as it started to rain again.

As always the Cast Members entertained the waiting guests and time just flew by. About 5 minutes after our ADR time we were seated.

We ordered our Diet Cokes and were left with the menus to decide what we wanted to have this evening.

When our server brought out the drinks she also brought out the bread sticks. Sourdough bread, Multigrain bread and Pretzel bread! Yum!

IMG_3617.jpg

There was lots of butter to go with it!

IMG_3618.jpg

We decided to share our appetizers. I ordered the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup - Made with Moosehead Beer and Smoked Bacon. This is such a good soup. Thick, creamy and well spiced and ........... it goes well with

IMG_3622.jpg

the Spicy Chicken and Chipotle Sausage - with Roasted Corn Polenta and Sweet Onion Jam. Another favourite of ours. And if they say spicy, they do not lie!!! This is a very spicy sausage, but not only does it go so well with the corn polenta, but it is just out of this world dipped into the cheese soup! It was NOT us who came up with the idea, but one of the servers at LeCellier, Patrick, told us to try it and ever since we have followed his recommandation.

IMG_3624.jpg

My all time favourite main course at LeCellier! The Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon - with wild mushroom risotto, white truffle and herb butter sauce. The filet was fork tender and just melted away in your mouth. And the risotto was cooked perfectly this time too. :thumbsup2

IMG_3626.jpg

IMG_3627.jpg

Tom tried the Coffee-rubbed Kansas City Strip Steak - with hazelnut butter and cream cheese mashed potatoes. Another very nice steak and the coffee taste was so nice! And the cream cheese mashed potatoes are just out of this world!
He DID finish it!

IMG_3628.jpg

IMG_3629.jpg

IMG_3630.jpg

We both decided on the same dessert, again a recommandation from the server. The Le Cellier Mont Blanc Semifreddo with chilled Fruit Soup. It is not on the allears menu, but I hope they keep that as it was really yummy. A light frozen vanilla cream, covered in meringue and nicely browned on the outside. Sitting in a slightly tart "berry" soup! Such a good dessert, we both loved it and hope it will still be on the menu when we go to Le Cellier again in August!

So what did we actually cost Disney?
12 CS credits = $ 245,60 (12 CS credits remain)
Le Cellier = $ 92,10
16 TS credits = $ 582,20 (6 TS credits remain)
2 snack credits = $ 7,00 (22 snack credits remain)
all in all = $ 926,90
(only accounting for the things covered by the DDP!! Not covering any items purchased OOP)

Next up - lunch at Tangerine Cafe

Yum Yum! That semifreddo thing looks good, is it like a baked alaska?:thumbsup2

I am not too familiar with Baked Alaska, but to what I know there is cake underneath the meringue and baked in the oven.
This did not have cake and I guess it was Italian Meringue (cooked meringue) that was just flamed! It was not hot on the outside, just a little warm. But it was SO good and the sweet Semifreddo together with the slightly tart berry soup was just heavenly!

I love Le Cellier. Last time I was at Disney I got a stomach flu on the day I had a reservation there. I was not a happy camper!

LeCellier is one of our favourites too! I can relate to how you felt being sick on your LeCellier day! :scared1::sad1:

Great reviews as always. :thumbsup2

I had the filet with mashed cream cheese potatoes and the maple BBQ sauce on the side when we were there this fall. It was all very good but by then I was so stuffed I couldnt finish it at all or even think about ordering a dessert.

Le Cellier is still one of my favorites. :goodvibes

Day 26, Sept 9

Lunch at Tangerine Cafe

Breakfast was more Birthday Mickey Cake and then we were off to Epcot. Once the World Showcase opened we went in search of somewhere, where we could spend another CS credit or two.
We have always walked past the Tangerine Cafe, but there was so much praise here on the Dis, we had to try it.

IMG_3633.jpg

Chicken and Lamb Shawarma Platter - served with hummus, Tabouleh, and a Tangierine CousCous Salad with a Fresh Moroccan bread. This is quite a generous portion! And a good one too! We shared this and it was really yummy! What great use of a CS credit.

IMG_3635.jpg

It came with some yoghurt sauce.

Oh my that Steak looks wonderful!! I may have to pass over the filet for that steak in February! :worship::worship:

Okay...I'm cleaning the drool off my computer keyboard right now. My favorite soup -- the cheddar soup and the filet (although I don't care for mushrooms so I always get the cream chesse mashed potatos)...I am just in heaven looking at the food. LeCellier is a favorite and we go every year. The food has always been excellent and we've had the friendliest and most efficient servers there.

:lmao: Yes, LeCellier is such a wonderful restaurant! I love the cheese soup. Have you ever tried the sausage dipped into the soup - oh, that is heaven on earth! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes
I don't know if you have a favourite server at LeCellier, but ask for either Brandon or Patrick next time you go. They have both been there for years and are really worth it to ask for them! They are brothers!!!!! and ever so charming and will go out of their way to make this extra special for you!

Karin, I think I'm going to print out this picture and put it in a heart-shaped frame! I loved loved loved this entree.

In case you couldn't tell, I'm really enjoying your trip report :)

Glad you enjoy the report! :thumbsup2 for the filet!

Great portions at Tangerine Cafe!

We could easily share that portion! And it was super yummy too!

Now tht dessert looks and sounds YUMMY!!! I don't really care for "maple"so the desserts there are not for me !! But this is ME!!!

Try the semifreddo! It is soooooooooo good! I hope they'll keep it on the menu.

Thanks for the pixs of Tangerine too !!! I am trying that next month!!!

:thumbsup2 I hope you like it! We passed it by so many times, but will definitely go back and try something else in February! This was such a nice lunch!

Still Day 26, Sept 9

Drinks from China

It was a really hot day and we decided to stop at the Joy of Tea stand and have a drink.

IMG_3641.jpg

Tom had the Mango Gingerita - with Vodka and Rum. I tried it, but it was too strong for me

IMG_3642.jpg

I was thirsty so I got the sweetened Peach Oolong Iced Tea. I like the Peach taste, but it is a very sweet drink.

Next up - Kringla Cafe og Bakeri
