Still Day 25, Sept 8
Dinner at Le Cellier
We stayed at DHS until the early afternoon, when the evening shower hit and we wet back to Old Key West.
In the evening we drove to Epcot for our dinner at Le Cellier. We were there about 40 minutes early and asked if we should sign in then and were told it was better to wait as they were already running late and we would not be seated before our ADR time. So we strolled the area for some time, then went to see the movie in the Canada Pavillion and about 10 minutes before our ADR time we signed in and decided to wait inside the restaurant as it started to rain again.
As always the Cast Members entertained the waiting guests and time just flew by. About 5 minutes after our ADR time we were seated.
We ordered our Diet Cokes and were left with the menus to decide what we wanted to have this evening.
When our server brought out the drinks she also brought out the bread sticks. Sourdough bread, Multigrain bread and Pretzel bread! Yum!
There was lots of butter to go with it!
We decided to share our appetizers. I ordered the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup - Made with Moosehead Beer and Smoked Bacon. This is such a good soup. Thick, creamy and well spiced and ........... it goes well with
the Spicy Chicken and Chipotle Sausage - with Roasted Corn Polenta and Sweet Onion Jam. Another favourite of ours. And if they say spicy, they do not lie!!! This is a very spicy sausage, but not only does it go so well with the corn polenta, but it is just out of this world dipped into the cheese soup! It was NOT us who came up with the idea, but one of the servers at LeCellier, Patrick, told us to try it and ever since we have followed his recommandation.
My all time favourite main course at LeCellier! The Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon - with wild mushroom risotto, white truffle and herb butter sauce. The filet was fork tender and just melted away in your mouth. And the risotto was cooked perfectly this time too.
Tom tried the Coffee-rubbed Kansas City Strip Steak - with hazelnut butter and cream cheese mashed potatoes. Another very nice steak and the coffee taste was so nice! And the cream cheese mashed potatoes are just out of this world!
He DID finish it!
We both decided on the same dessert, again a recommandation from the server. The Le Cellier Mont Blanc Semifreddo with chilled Fruit Soup. It is not on the allears menu, but I hope they keep that as it was really yummy. A light frozen vanilla cream, covered in meringue and nicely browned on the outside. Sitting in a slightly tart "berry" soup! Such a good dessert, we both loved it and hope it will still be on the menu when we go to Le Cellier again in August!
So what did we actually cost Disney?
12 CS credits = $ 245,60 (12 CS credits remain)
Le Cellier = $ 92,10
16 TS credits = $ 582,20 (6 TS credits remain)
2 snack credits = $ 7,00 (22 snack credits remain)
all in all = $ 926,90

Next up - lunch at Tangerine Cafe
