Here's a question for those who have stayed at many different DVC resorts

Just for fun.:)

For those of you who have stayed at a lot of different DVC resorts-do/did you notice that customer service or the activities/amenities are better in one particular resort? Actually let's make that a 2 part question (allowing for the possibilty it might not be the same answer to both questions):

1)Which resort do you feel gives the best customer service.

2)Which resort do you feel offers the best amenities/accommodations?

But let's narrow it down to On-site resorts in FL.;)

:confused3 Hummm...each resort has their pros & cons. Not sure what you're looking for here. We have enjoyed pretty much all of our trips as they're each unique. I don't think I can answer as Q 1 and Q 2.

We have not tried ALL of them YET. We have not had the time to try BWV or BLT or the treehouses yet (with the latter 2 being fairly new). Out of the onsite ones we HAVE tried (AKV Jambo and AKV Kidani, BCV, OKW, SSR and VWL) it was our experience that the CM's at BCV were super friendly and outgoing. SAB makes BCV a superb choice for a summer trip and it's proximity to Epcot makes it a real standout for ammenities. There are also ample restaurants to choose from. So I guess BCV would be my first answer. Aside from BCV, we really enjoy the restaurants & theming available at AKV. All of the restaurants there are winners so AKV would probably be choice # 2.

OKW was our least favorite as we felt it was showing its age, the food options are limited and the CM's we encountered didn't do anything to stand out.

The problem with your questions is they are based on specific experiences and opinions.

I have never had a bad customer service experience at Disney (knock on wood). I have always found the CMs to be friendly and helpful. I remember our first trip with an owner's locker between luggage, grocery delivery, and package retrieval that poor CM ran all over creation for us. Of course he got a good-sized tip but he was johnny-on-the-spot taking care of us.

We have sampled all of them except Saratoga and we prefer OKW but it is a matter of opinion.

1. Best Customer Service: BCV and WLV

We've had stand-out CMs at some of the other resorts, but overall, these 2 above are the best imho. We've had stellar customer service 90% or more of the time at both of those places (though I will admit, part of my BCV rating is based on staying at BC a couple of times prior to our one stay at BCV...We've stayed at WLV several times).

2. Best ammenities/accommodations:

This is a tougher one. My husband would put the top 3 as SSR, WLV, and OKW. He values the more solitude of those and thinks the pool is best at SSR for kids followed by WLV. He likes the size of rooms at OKW. And they have great kids and community activities at all three of those.

For me, I'd choose WLV and AKV as top 2 (too many tied for 3rd). Mainly because of the pools, activities for kids, restaurants on site, themes/decor (especially AKV which is unique nationwide). We haven't stayed at Kidani and tried the new themed pool, but saw it on our last trip and are looking forward to trying it in December. I think my DH will bump AKV up in his top 3 after we get to try the AKV-CL, use the pool, sunrise safari, etc, lol. AKV has a lot of neat opportunities during the day and night without stepping foot into a park.

BCV and BWV would probably be a tie for 3rd, because they have a FABULOUS location. We chose to stay the 2nd part of our upcoming trip there over Christmas because I don't want to have to deal with much transportation AT ALL at peak season. It'll be nice to walk/boat to 2 parks (and we'll already have AK crossed off our agenda for our first part of our stay at AKV :) ). And the pool at BCV can't be beat...my kids were just a little too young when we were there 2 years ago to take advantage of it fully. I guess my one big beef with BC/BCV and BW is that they have limited CS options without going to Epcot or HS. I *really* wish that they'd bump Beaches and Cream down to a CS/QS, but I know that would never happen, lol.

We've stayed at all the DVCs, once at VWL and multiple trips everywhere else.

Best customer service, tie between BCV and AKV. BCV because we've always had great check-in experiences and they always seem to be working on keeping the common areas in top condition. AKV because all the cultural representatives and savanna guides go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and create a very intimate setting. We've had more CMs go above and beyond at AKV than anywhere else.

Amenities - AKV by a long, long mile. You have a multiple savannas, the largest collection of African art in north America, three excellent TS restaurants, the best CS at any deluxe at WDW (multiple stations with different food choices, a bakery/coffee/smoothies station, multiple coolers with some snack options from BOMA), concierge-level options, two feature pools, cultural programs, community hall activities - and the resort stays buzzing until late. Also, there's the safari that guests can book.
