The Dream double-dips. Would you rather do a 5 night double-dip in an ocean view, or a 4 night with a veranda? You lose the sea day with the 4 night, but you can use Nassau as a replacement if you've already been there, just don't get off the ship.

While right now I have both on my list for my TA to price, the primary reason I am leaning towards the 4-night is that one would put me at Castaway on my birthday (understanding, of course, that there is the possibility of not being able to dock). I think that would be an awesome way to spend my birthday - chilling at Serenity Bay.

I would hope they would offer Palo brunch on Nassau day like they do on the 3-night ones, but I could forego Palo brunch for birthday at Serenity Bay...

5-night in an oceanview. No contest. There isn't that much to see during Bahamian cruises, so unless you're a verandah addict, the extra day is much more important. You can always lie out on deck 4 or on the pool deck if you want to chill out in the open air.

I did the 4 day double dip with balcony last year. It was fantastic! I would rather 5 days w/o and I use the balcony when we sail. That extra day would be worth it to me. I can look out the window.

5 day hands down. The additional day to me worth more than a veranda for 4 days.

Is there an option where I don't have to go on Disney Dream?

This! A 5-day double dip on the Wonder would be super. We actually got one accidentally a number of years ago. The weather was awful on day one, so we got a second island day instead of the planned sea day. Of course, this was before the CC schedule had to account for 4 ships.

Definitely the 5 day. I'm perfectly happy to go to another deck if I need fresh air.

Wow that's a tough call. Do I value my verandah or my time on Castaway Cay more? I think castaway cay just barely edges out the verandah, but only if my ocean view was the huge porthole, not the tiny ones.

I agree it is a tough call. My mitigating factor - and the main reason the 4-night is my first choice - is my birthday falls on that sailing. Very hard to give up the idea of a birthday at Serenity Bay over an extra day...even though I love my sea days.

I will definitely celebrate my birthday either way though!

5 day, no question, but I'm the kind of heathen who would book an inside room and spend the extra on bingo anyway.

How much time do you spend on your verandah when you have one? If you're out there constantly, it's clearly a value to you -- but if you're happy to get your fresh air on decks 9 and 10, the extra day seems more valuable to me.

I posted this because I theorized that a 4 day with veranda would be similar to 5 day without. In puttering around on another cruise I'm looking at in March of 2019, there really isn't a big difference in price--the 5 night oceanview is only a couple of hundred less than a verandah. I'm going to see once prices are posted if the difference is a big deal. My husband loves sitting on the verandah and has done a lot of it on each of our cruises. I think if it meant a 5th night I could get him to do an oceanview, but he has already told me he would never do an inside cabin. I also plan on keeping an eye on the double dip rooms available and possibly waiting until we cruise in July to get an OBB.

I'm in for the 7/17!! Hello birthday at Castaway!! I'm in a 5A (10000) - since it is a birthday trip, I am splurging. :) I don't have the price breakdown yet - I just know my TA called me to clarify something and then I looked at my reservations on the DCL site a little later and saw it.
