We just arrived this evening and are staying at the WL for a week. My 3 year old daughter wasn't feeling her best today, sleepy but no fever or other symptoms, so we went ahead with our plans to fly down...She threw up on the Magical Express bus...hoping its a quick stomach bug but just in case, who/where would you recommend for a pediatrician visit? Thanks so much!

Any of the nearby urgent care centers should be able to assist you...docs rotate through those places so fast though, being able to pin one down is probably going to be tough. There's been a lot of "stomach bug" going around here, the good news is it seems to last only about 24 hours or so. I hope she feels better!

If you can get to the Walgreens on Idrive they have a drop in dr. We have used them on 2 trips and would recommend them (plus they are very cost friendly)

Our travel agent gave us a card for "docs on call" on our last trip.

We used this before and it was great. Can't remember what insurance they accept, though.

Calling the front desk gets you a call center somewhere in the continental US.

They will give you a list of the urgent cares in the area.

Depending on where you are staying, the closest may be:

Buena Vista Urgent Care
8216 World Center Dr., Suite D
Orlando, FL 32821
407-465-1110

There is also one near DTD:

Centra Care
12500 South Apopka Vineland Rd. (SR 535)
Orlando, Florida 32836
407-934-CARE (407-934-2273)

Centracare will pick you up.

We've been in the area since the 4th. I got sick on the 6th and it hit DS on the 10th. Apart from running during marathon weekend we've done almost nothing. Every local we've talked to said that there's about three different things going around. I'm fairly certain DS and I have had each of them. All viruses. Nothing at all to do for them.

Call the front desk. They will be able to assist you. :)

Actually, it would be better to go to the front desk. The call usually go through a call center so the person answering the line it's necessarily the person at the front desk of your resort. Those people are locals so they would know the best answer but it's better to do it in person, not via phone.

I'd wait on taking her. It's most likely just a stomach bug, there is nothing they can do for her, and you are just risking picking up new germs. Keep her hydrated (but not too much liquid), no solid food, and lots of rest. I'm betting she's better by tomorrow, especially since she doesn't have a fever (I find the stomach bugs with a fever last a bit longer).

Thank you all! It is reassuring to hear good reviews. She is resting today and if not better, we will probably go to Centra Care. Thanks again!
