Here now...new test track

Yes. I just did it

Do you get to see everything in the line doing single rider, or does it cut through? I'm thinking we'll do standby the first time we go, and then single if we want to do it over and over (which we will).

I just watched the video of it and I am soooo torn. While it looks really neat, I loved the story of the old one. I still cant wait to see it in person though because I may change my mind. I am a woman you know, we tend to change our minds a lot. ;)

In line to do it again with the whole party. Been in line for over 50 minutes and we have barely moved. Lots of technical difficulties

It is a different walk through

Honestly I didn't get to do any of the interaction but I was okay with that for now. My DS will love it in June and he can create the car then.

Does everyone in the group (the 6 that fit in the car) get to design their own car, or is it a group effort?

Yep, my 1st ride went great, 2nd ride got stuck at the loading gate, right around the first turn, AND right at the semi-truck. That kinda killed it for me, didn't try anymore, plus that 2 hr wait time was a little to much...

I am with you. Watched the video and read some reviews. Right now, I think I prefer the old theming/story. It just made more sense. I think that all the new added fluff if just going to slow down the lines and increase wait times. I'll still ride it when we head to WDW again and see how it is. Might love it, who knows...

Every person "designs" their own car and swipes it onto a RFID card. That card is then tapped onto a sensor before loading in the car, which will really slow down an already slow-loading attraction.

Josh has a complete review here.

*Designing* your car is mostly a joke - DH rode the stand-by line once, then rode the single rider after that. This was Monday and he hardly had any wait times. He loves the *new* TT. Not nearly as noisy either.

you can if you all ask for that. It is 2-3 per car max and you all share a design. Smaller kids won't really get it though unless they are into cars.

It is not about coloring it so much as the performance of the vehicle

It is most certainly about slowing the queue down

I like this queue much better because you can decide to do things like design a car or just walk past it. There is no room where you stand and watch a long video (which was mostly to destract people, but it just makes people more antsy because they aren't in a line that is moving). Single riders line takes only as long as your feet take to walk to the front... With a car that is made for groups of 3, it always needs singles. My friends and I went through 3 times on single as quickly as we wanted.

The games in the showroom are pretty cool. Enjoyed racing against a bunch of strangers on those top down car games. And I liked creating a commercial and sending it to my wife at home, although she didn't get the email yet, so maybe it doesn't work, lol.

Can't wait to see it in March. I'm thinking also that this whole design your own car thing will slow the lines down a whole lot. On the other hand it is part of the interactive queue that Disney is incorporating into alot of the lines now. Hopefully it will be better than SM's interactive queue, but I don't see it being better than HM. We'll see in March.

The previous TT queue was one of, if not THE, worst in Disney IMO. Seemed to take way too long of a wait for the number of guests in line. Then you end up stepping all over each other once the doors opened after the into.

I was really hoping that they would have solved that by now. Hopefully they are just working through the bugs, because I love the look of the new TT.:thumbsup2

Dan

If I'm not mistaken, you can walk right past the design stations and into the line. But this gives you a little something to do amidst the wait.
