In the line....it is TOTALLY different. No clunky machines, no dummies. Can't wait to see the ride

Enjoy. Think Tron -- you're inside the computer!

Nice that it is not hot in there any more! Do they still have the "hot room", or whatever they are calling it in the new version on the ride. DD (6) would be thrilled if that was gone. It is really hard to get her to ride TT. She loved it the first time she rode it when she was 3, but then her second time we got stuck in the hot room for a few minutes when the ride went down and now she is scared that will happen again and hates to get on it. I have to say, it was probably the worst place on TT to get stuck.

Unless you are a cm, you could not ride saturday. We were here all days and the walls were still up

Or friends with a CM.

Or friends with a CM.

Or ended up being a task where a CM went out and found some lucky families to ride.

There were a few options for riding Saturday but by and large it was limited to CMs, their families and friends and a few lucky ones.

That too. ;) I thought I remember a poster reported that night being invited by (presumably off-duty) CMs they did not know to join them.

I am so glad the queue has changed. The line was always reasonably long and all that mechanical noise can start to give you a headache!

We were in line for about 75 minutes, posted as a 25 minute wait. The line stopped for 10 minutes at a time several times. The loading for this is horrible because guests are unclear on what to do and cms are still trying to learn the process. Once we got through the main line to the first queue where we stood on our assigned numbers, we waited there for 17 minutes. We then went into the design room and were in there for about 10 minutes before we got into the final queue to get into the cars. All of the queues and took another almost 40 minutes. Sad thing is, there was not that many people. I think it will be better when they understand their process better and get the system down.

One more thing on the experience...... The whole "compare your race and car to others" thing is a bit misleading. It makes it sound like there will be a listing just for your car, but it doesn't work like that whatsoever. Too hard to explain from a cell phone.

Actually some working the attraction CMs went out and brought in guests - not a lot - but a little magic thrown about.

That was me :) I struck up a conversation with them and just got lucky, honestly. I do know a few people reported that on-duty CMs standing outside the attraction invited them to ride, though.

I was afraid this would be the case. There were several points when it wasn't explicitly clear how the process worked or what you were supposed to do next, especially the loading process and using the RFID cards. And I just know there are going to be quite a few guests each day - especially those who don't speak English - who don't realize that they're supposed to keep the card through the end of the ride and will lose it somehow. Hopefully they will be able to work out some of those kinks shortly.

Can you further explain this when you get to a computer? We had issues with the stats/results of our car during the ride and at the end, but not quite like you're describing (I don't think).

Oh, yes! I had forgotten about how bad that could get...another good reason to pretty much never ride standby...it is much quieter now, and everything smells like "new car" :goodvibes

Josh has a full review on easywdw if anyone wants to check it out. :)

There is no longer a hot or cold room....for the poster who asked

Thanks! That will make DD very happy and I'm sure we won't have any trouble getting her on the ride and she will like it again.
