Here Now & Need Urgent ? Answered

I have a sick kiddo running a high fever and I am wondering if anyone has used the House Call Physcians? Looking for experience and approx. cost.
Normally I would just wait it out as it is most likely viral. (She had a kiddo sneeze all over her yesterday morning...so gross!!) However, she is asthmatic and if it is bacterial that changes things quickly. Yes, I have her asthma meds but those only go so far if she really needs more support.
We are hanging in room for now letting her rest and not infect others.

You have two main choices for Hospitals, depending on your insurance.

CHOC is the Children's Hospital of Orange County, and basically at the north east corner of the I-5 and 22 freeways.

UC Irvine is also right there, the south west corner of the intersection.

If you have Kaiser, then you have a bit of a drive, its main hospital in the area is off the 91 near the 55 freeway. An Urgent Care is in Garden Grove on Euclid south of the resort area.

Call the provider and ask about costs before requesting a call. You can also ask the hotel what experience they have with various on-call services. Have you contacted your insurance about the closest urgent care that they cover? What about a CVS minute clinic?

If you are staying on site you can talk to their nurse on call for free. In case you have to go to a hospital we once had an incident where my son had to go to CHOC and we were happy with that hospital. There was a pharmacy right across the street to get prescriptions filled.

If you are staying onsite I second the call their nurse suggestion. I had to do that last year when my daughter sprained her ankle and they were great!
