Arrived at MK this morning at 7:30am for PPO adr at BOG and EVERYONE had to go through metal detectors. I asked CM about it and she said it the new operating procedure for early mornings.

It was reported yesterday by reliable Twitter source that they were told by Epcot security more machines are coming and everyone will be scanned. No surprise and makes more sense than random.

Last trip I was scanned every time so nothing new for me,

I was scanned 4 times last week. Only took an extra minute to get through.

When we went to MK late Tuesday afternoon, everyone had to go through the scanners, bags or no bags.

I've been selected three times now, and in DSH yesterday, they told me that they were doing 100% for the no bag line, and trying to do 100% for the bag lines when it's not busy. They said that all of the parks are getting more metal detectors soon, so they're trying to get guests used to the slight inconvenience. It really isn't that bad, but it is kind of annoying just because it starts to feel like the airport sometimes.

I was there last week and one morning every one had to go though the meter detectors so I can see that soon they will be doing every one.

I like this! I actually hope that they do it all day every day at every park. I want to feel safe in WDW and in today's world you just never know.

You don't need to take your belt off. All I needed to do was pull out my Cell Phone. I don't know if that will change with everyone going through the detectors. I went through them several times last week myself.

I am sure this will be the policy going forward and that they are trying to implement it with the Invictus Games starting.

Yes bag check will continue-the bags do not go through the metal detector only the person

Go through back check or no bag, then metal detectors.

We were at Disney Tues-Sat last week and there was one time everyone had to go through no matter what, but other times were random. You have to remove everything from your pockets and put them in one of those little white dishes they have at the airport. There's a table on each side of the metal detector and you put your bag on it along with the dish of your stuff. The security person moves your stuff from one side of the table to the other as you walk through it. They are the old school metal detectors- not like the big new ones they have at the airports now where you have to put your hands up. Our son (2 YO) never had to go through it.

From what I've experienced, they take your bag, you walk through the scanner, and they hand your bag back to you.
