Just wanted everybody to know what a great day the MK was on Sunday 060516. I LOVE the special 8 AM opening time, which I would have never known had it not been for this boards. It seemed as if most were unaware of the 8 AM opening time.

We were let in the park by 0745 and we hit frontier land right away. We hit splash mountain, big thunder mountain railroad twice, the tomorrowland speedway, space mountain, and buzz. We used a FP for haunted mansion. We had lunch from about 1015-11 at Cosmic Rays and then used FP's for POTC and BTMR again. We were headed back to the hotel by 1230.

The park was empty the first hour and a half and nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. We were headed back to the hotel by 1230. Thanks to this board for all of the info I learned.

We are here all week and hoping this trend continues. I'm worried about the storm and predicted bad weather the next two days, but as I told my boys. We get to tell people we were in a tropical storm!!

I posted a similar thread! My DH actually asked me where everyone was! lol today was a great day! I'm not too worried about the storms. We are supposed to Ho to Epcot tomorrow. What will be, will be. Have a great rest of your trip!

Sounds like you're off to a great start.

Get your rain gear, some sandals, and put dry clothes/shoes in a locker. GO TO THE PARKS ANYWAY! People will stay away if there is a downpour, but the rides mostly stay open unless there's thunder. With an attitude like yours you will have a great time!

We had a great day at Animal Kingdom as well. Had an 8:30 breakfast and we were seated by 8:20. We were boarding the safari a little after 9 with no wait and then we rode KRR twice in a row with no wait. Didn't wait in a line longer than 10 minutes all day. We used FP to our advantage and rode EE twice, as well as Dinosaur and a second safari this evening. Saw FOW, Tough to Be a Bug and Lion King and rode all the rides in DinoLand. Ended the day with a great early dinner at Yak and Yeti, perfectly timed to miss the downpour. Rain was threatening, wo we headed back to OKW and plan to hop back another night to see the night stuff. This is just the first full day of our trip. Six more days to go!
