We use our own insurance and our credit card to cover the insurance and insurance waiver. Do check with your credit card however because not all of them cover SUV's.

We once rented a premium SUV (Yukon XL) in Orlando, and the company (Budget) actually called our insurance company before they gave us the keys (since we refused the coverage). Thought that was a little strange.

We called our credit card company to make sure of everything and they said you are covered if you use their credit card to rent the car, he has a Platinum Visa. We are renting from Dollar and will decline their insurance, use our own and rent with hubbys card.
