Helpful Information For You Updated 03/30/2012

Oh my goodness!

I just spent some time on this thread and it is FANTASTIC! Thank you Shirley!! :yay:

BTW, I just sent my brother the info about the hotels closes to the port. Maybe he will be interested in one of those. The Marriott Residence Inn sounds good to me!

we are using avis to rent two vans ( 7 pass and 12 pass)from the airport, and dropping it off the next day at the port. Then on the return we are renting 3 mini vans to go to a hotel near the ariport and leaving the vans at the airport the next day. I am lucky that we get the corporate rate from my company, but avis is going to keep the car seats for us while we are on the cruise. (one less headack):worship:

But we have found that the numbers work..My company gets the best rates with all the car rentals. And I make sure I pick the best one for my needs. More pepole renting get to set the price.

I know I asked this before but I can't find the post or the paper I printed out with the answer so please excuse the repeat. I am bringing my whole family (19 in all) on a cruise on Dec 11, 2008 and need about 5 or 6 rooms for the night before the cruise. We are driving from all different places so will need a place to park the cars and get a ride to the ship. I remember you recommending the Radisson and I was going to call them and make a reservation now so I make sure I can get the number of rooms I need and hopefully together. My question is do you recommend me talk to a certain person to get a discount of some kind and also to let them know you recommended them. Since I am paying for all the rooms I am hoping to get a pretty good discount. Once aging, thank you in advance for your help, you are a fountain of knowledge. I will also be calling your shop for a few things for the rooms to make this trip even more special. Your shop is the Perfect Gift isin't it.

I will drop you a note tomorrow as to whom to speak to about rate prices.
When you have names, its easier than just speaking to someone you can not relate to or I will give you their email addresses and that makes it easier.
Always

:goodvibes Hi Shirley, just wondering if the CountryInns and Suites have gotten better in their transportation to and from the Disney Wonder. I
know that before there was a very long wait returning to the hotels.
Sure hate to pay $60 for parking at the port. Thanks again for this wonderful thread. Shirley

I had spoke to Kelly Henderson and she told me that they were adding more shuttles, but I haven't checked with her lately so I will drop her an email tonight and will post what she had to say ok?

This is an email I received on a question I was asked about the country Inn & Suites and I wanted to share it since it may answer questions if you are staying there.

Dear Shirley
ON the shuttle aspect, we actually have a few we are looking at purchasing, I took this on myself to find some with prices and passed it on to the purchasing folks!

However, things are going much smoother since we are more used to which things are busiest and so forth. We just upgraded to a FULL HOT Breakfast that includes waffles, eggs, sausage, bacon, gravy and biscuits plus the normal, breads, Danishes, English muffins and cereal... the list goes on!!

But once you check in, ask to speak to our Front office manager Janet or Erik, our customer service specialist, let them know the concerns you have, and they will be sure to give you VIP treatment!!

We do use Art's as a backup for our shuttle, but a third company, Cocoa Beach Shuttle will accept the voucher if no one from our Hotel is there. So there are plenty of options.

If at last resort, please take a cab and we will refund the money to the guest. No need for that hefty parking fee!!! (be sure the cab doesn't more than $3 a person-if they do get out!!! They are trying to scam and it's not fair. I have learned in life, cab prices are almost always negotiable!!

Thank you foremost for making sure that the visitors who do visit Brevard County are filled with choices of all types. Its very kind of you to take the time to extend such PR for Brevard County and all of those that work and play here. That kindness will someday be repaid.

Respectfully,
Kelly Powell
