There is NO charge from the rental cars places here in Cape Canaveral - all of the car rentals places have super duper folks to work with and I have spoke to everyone of them except at Hertz, but haven't had time to do so - want to see if they also will work with good prices from here.

TRAVELERS TO ORLANDO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (OIA)
As of 6:00am this morning the exit to Orlando airport off the Beachline has changed. Those traveling from the east coast on the Beachline will find the new exit about 1/4 of a mile BEFORE the old exit. The old exit is closed. You no longer go under the bridge and exit to the Orlando Airport. You exit along with the SR 436 Rd exit and bear to left to go to airport. Be sure to pay attention to the new exit signs.

Shirley, question about Thrifty if you know - if we rent from Thrify after the cruise and we want to drop it of in WDW - where can we do that, we are staying at Coronado, but do they have a drop in Disney? and then we can shuttle to the parks or have my husband just meet us at the hotel? or is it easier to use Avis or Budget - I know they both have at Doubletree and Hilton - thank you!

What's the easiest way to tell which information is changed? Do I need to read through that massively informative first post again or is new info also posted at the end of the thread?

Not trying to be a pain. This info is incredible. Just trying to figure out how to best use it and know what's new. Thanks.

What I am doing is not only including the information on the first page, but adding to the end of the thread so folks don't have to go through that massively thread.
Hope that helps

I tried to speak to our local Thrifty Car Rental and the people there did not have time to speak with me as to your question except take it to the Radisson on 192 in Kississimmi. I tried to question the person about an address and phone number and she couldn't give it to me for she didn't have time and then put me on hold so I just hung up. I tried to explain to her that it was for this board, but it didn't appear to make any difference.
Anyhow I did call Avis and Patty gave me this information - you go to www.avis.com it will give you drop off information, directions, address, phone number for anywhere you want to drop it off and yes they will shuttle you back to where you are staying.
Hope that this will help.

Thank you Shirley, that was so nice of you to call for me, I was going to do that myself. Guess that answers my question - Avis it is - I was going to do Budget, but it seems so many people are, I think it might be a bit quicker to do Avis, we want to get out fast and just check in our hotel return the car and get to the parks, we can just take the shuttle from the Avis drop at the Hilton I believe all the Disney shuttles run to the parks - thank you so much for taking your time!

YOU MUST MAKE SURE YOU TELL AVIS YOU ARE OFF THIS BOARD.
They do give discounts if you are off the board.
Glad I could help, I was so thrown off when speaking to Thrifty and I really thought she would call me back and help me get answers, but that didn't happen - I called Avis and they were right there with the help.
Anyhow everybody to its own liking.

Hi Shirley,

Would you know of a company that would have a limo, not a van, that could take 6-8 people with luggage from WDW to the port, with RT service? Maybe a company that has Hummers or something of the sort. The one mentioned on the list has a limo for that manypeople but would not fit the bags. TIA

I've heard sometimes they send a van behind the hummer to carry the bags... not sure how much it costs though.

How do I do that, I was booking online with codes from Mousesavers I think? is it better to call the Avis in Port Canaveral direct - I'll get a better rate? maybe I should book our car from the airport to PC then as well. Right now I have Budget reserved... you are a wealth of info - thank you!

Call Avis direct and speak to either, bob, Patty or Jermery for better prices.
Look on the first page for their phone number and infor.
